  1. So what sort of maintenance is required to make sure the filter doesn't dry out too much? Re-oil every 6months? 12months? What has everyone else been doing? Has anyone that has one of these taken their pod filter off an rubbing the inside of the piping to see if theres any evidence of dust getting through at all?
  2. Hey Guys, i have purchased one of the k & n typhoon sri's for my aurion zr6. Since purchasing it i was taking to a bloke and he mentioned that i should be careful because they will let dust into the motor. Just wondering if any one on here has any experience with this or has an opinion whether this is something to be concerned about. I guess it just has me a bit concerned now as i don't want to end up with a dusted motor for the sake of having one of these installed on my car. Thanks in advance Braden
  3. My car with my wheels fitted. They are 19x8 Osaka Phantoms, Im really happy with the way they have made my car look :D
  4. Having 245/35R19 tires myself, I can give you a couple of suggestions. Don't get the Autogrip tires if that's how much they are quoting you. For around that value, I would get Federal 595SS. I got these tires for about $214 per corner fitted, though you may be able to get them for less than that. Prior to that, I had the Maxxis MA-Z1 which is what I reckon you got quoted on. These were about $245 a corner fitted as well (got them from Bob Jane in a hurry due to a puncture). In terms of grip, the Maxxis at first had quite a large amount of grip both in the wet and dry, but this just got worse as the tire started to wear. They also wore out relatively quick (when compared to my current 595SS). The Federal on the other hand has just that little more grip than the Maxxis and has managed to maintain it's levels of grip even as they have worn past 50%. Overall I would say I am quite satisfied... especially considering they were cheaper than the Maxxis. Bot h tires have performed on par or better than the OEM Dunlop SP Sport Maxx that came stock with the TRD Aurion. In terms of noise, both the Maxxis MA-Z1 and Federal 595SS exhibit the same levels of noise which when compared to other tires, is definitely a bit noisier. It's nothing unbearable and not be notices when you have your stereo up to an enjoyable level, but this is something to be aware of if you value a very quiet drive. But with that all said, I got a quote for Federal 595EVO's for about $9 more per tire however on both occasions when I tried to get them, the size I was after was on backorder. If you can get them, I would suggest those as they have even more grip than the 595SS and would be the best bang for your buck. I also hear they are slightly quieter than the 595SS, but I can't really comment on that. Thanks for that DJ, I have got quotes for the Federal 595SS and my dealer came back with 195 a corner, which judging by the reviews for these tyres is a lot better value for money than the 185 for the autogrips. I asked about the 595 EVOS and the dealer said they dont get as good durability and for my needs i think the 595SS will suit best.
  5. Im not really set on a budget, just wanting value for money really, i got quoted 185 a corner for auto grip, 245/35R19. I also got a quote for maxxis tyres, can't remember the model, for 245 a corner, not sure if maxxis are worth the extra or not, i obviously don't want something that is going to feel dangerous in the wet being front wheel drive. Obviously i know maxxis should be better being 60 extra per tyre but was wondering if they are really 60 dollars extra in value. Any other suggestions for tyres of 245/35R19?
  6. Hey, wondering if anyone has heard of Autogrip tyres and if they are value for money are just rubbish, my tyre dealer tells me there are chinese made but are are mid range class tyre..Couldnt really find much in reviews anywhere on the internet. Let me know if anyone has had any experience or heard anything about these? Cheers
  7. Hey guys, Thought i would let you all know that i have aircon again :D My local toyota dealer submitted a warranty claim which took into account the age of the vehicle and the kms, and they came back and said they would pay half, which was a fair enough agreement i thought considering afterall my car was out of warranty. Without the warranty discount the total cost fitted for the compressor, clutch and regas etc came back at around $1125. Anyway can say im now a happy toyota customer.

Dude, that's just some RDA slotted rotors and some HD pads. Nothing ground breaking, but will help stop your Aurion nonetheless.

It's a good price for some slotted discs with pads thrown in. Don't expect miracles but it will slightly outperform the stock set up

  8. Hey guys, i have the auto gps headunit TC200 and am currently hooking up the reverse camera, it all works except how do i make it automatically flick to the camera when reverse is selected. i have wired the power up to the reverse lights and plugged the camera RCA into the headunit. Are there any other wires i need to hook up to make this work?

  9. Well i had a look last night and am now certain my self that the compressor has failed as i can see sparks coming from the front of the compressor when i engage the aircon. I have researched about aftermarket compressors and apparently no one makes an aftermarket compressor for the aurions yet. Everyone that i have spoken to so far has just said that its not unheard of happening at such low k's but that ive just been one of the unlucky ones. Unfortunately i am out of warranty also.
  10. Hey Guys, I have an 06 Aurion ZR6 and recently was overtaking a vehicle when i heard a brief squealing sound then loss of all aircon, with the aircon light flashing. I took it to toyota and there first suggestions are that the compressor is dead. I have my car booked in with them this thursday for them to check this out. My car has only done 70,000ks so is very frustrating that something like this could already be failing on the car. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or am i just very unlucky?
  11. Hey Guys, im looking into getting one of the 7" Touchscreen Navigation Units for my Aurion, Im tossing up between The Autome 305 or TC - 200 Unit, Can anyone tell me which one is better or if i wouldnt be dissappointed with either unit. Cheers

  12. Are there any videos of the aurion standard intake compared to the K&N SRI That i can watch to see the difference in sound? I have youtubed it but many have exhaust mods as well so i cant get a decent idea of what it sounds like, Thanks in advance.

Or this one, claimed to be an Aurion, but this a left hand drive. So I'm thinking Aurion in Saudi.

Just a hint.. when you're driving, the intake sounds HEAPS better then just sitting there.
