  1. really? it doesnt really say anything of that kind in the servicing book. What they told me that price will cover them to replace engine oil and filter, but inspect about 20 extra things. anything else, the told me, that needs to be changed will be charged on top of that $400
  2. nicee, what does your insurance company think about that one? haha
  3. true that, if i had all the money in the world for a couple of guys to "inspect the following" for $400+ i would, but money is an issue and i feel as if im being ripped off with this one because that cost just covers them to "inspect the following" and if they need to change anything they will charge me extra ontop of that.
  4. I got my 75,000km service due in about 500km. I bought my 07 camry second hand (old rent a car). I was wondering if i should take it to toyota or go somewhere else? the servicing at toyota will set me back about $400+. Should i just go to toyota and blow this much money or go somewhere else?
  5. thanks for that DJKOR, that was a good read.
  6. no doubt about that. it just completely messes with my mind when im tryna calculate how much petrol i needa put in tank so i dont overfill it. i thought the 55litres wouldnt be enough haha.
  7. Sorry if this has been done before but i thought instead of making a new thread for me to ask a simple question, id just make a general camry question thread where all small questions can be easily asked in the one place. anyway my question is which has played on my mind all day during work is, if the camry model fuel tank capacity is 70 litres, why is it that when i filled it up today with 55 litres of fuel today the line went past the "F"? The line was at the 2nd little mark before the "E" before i filled it up?
  8. haha thanks everyone. And tash, im definietly coming to one if my schedule is free. I first fell in love with the camry whilst on cardomain.com looking at what our friends in the US were doing to them and for a while i thought i was the only one who could see how sexy a camry is ahha. But yeah, i might see you at one sometime.
  9. Sgoin on everybody, im private number im a newbie from melbourne. Currently driving a stock 2007 camry LE and im highly interested in customizing it and making it my own (not overly done up or anything. looking for a simple but effective yet unique look, or ill try to be unique atleast haha). Ive viewed this forum for tips and stuff for a while but only very recently decided to join so i can hopefully grab some helpful tips and advice from all you guys out there.
  10. im keen on coming to this, cept my camry is still stock for now. haha
  11. cheers for that, ill look up how to remove front bumper on gen 6 this week and i might tackle that after i get my waranty service done this friday.
  12. I tried changing my parker light bulbs yesterday and i had a few troubles. i unclipped the fender well from the bumper and everything fine, got my arm and hand to where the bulbs are located but i had trouble unclipping or screwing the cover off. I found it hard to do as i couldnt even see what i was doing. and somehow eventually it came out. I bought H7 bulbs for my driving lights and they came with parker lights as well but what i understand is the bulbs that are in the car now have the wires sticking out whilst the bulbs that came with the h7 bulbs dont and have the wires folded against the actually bulb itself (if this doesnt make sense ill take a picture for you all). Anyway it took me 5 minutes to unclip the fender well from the bumper and all that but an hour to try put the cover back onto the parker light housing. So any advice on actually changing the bulb itself? Is my method for changing this bulb wrong in the first place? for some reason i had a lot of trouble. and i couldnt figure out a safe way for me to do this as for one i cant see what my hands are doing (so for me it was mainly a touch and feel typa thing). i didnt install my new parker light bulbs cause i thought it may be the wrong bulb and i couldnt think of a way i could install it as its a bit of a tight squeeze and what not through the fender well area.
  13. Id like to know this too. I was wondering where i could go to fit a sportivo body kit on my LE model and at what price? (i like the look of the sportivo model, dont ask why i didnt just get the sportivo model in the first place haha) or better yet, is there any places in melbourne that will fit a custom body kit on my 07 camry?
  14. Hey fellas, i was just wondering what tinting services you all would recommend in the melbourne area? I did some searching on this forum already but nothing specific about recommendations in the melbourne area. Ive read/heard certain tinting companies arnt to good with service or waranty and even quality (like fading, bubbling etc etc) so i was hoping you all would give me your inputs or past experiences with tinting companies and where they are located at. Im willing to travel for a quality tinting service as i was recommended to avoid certain branches of a franchise cause their quality of window tinting isnt all that great what i want to know is; - your tinting service recommendations - which branch is the best to go to (if applicable) - waranty and what does it cover and for how long - quality and reliablity - and any past experiences for background info, im planning to tint my 2007 toyota camry which is white with a nice black tint. thanks in advanced
