  1. phillips diamond visions are good (dont know if thats the same as the gt150 you mentioned). and if your located in melbourne, i felt your pain. had the same problem as you but you also gotta take into consideration that the water refects all other light so your lights may also seem less brighter than usual.
  2. Theres another scam on gumtree regarding a 2000+ (forgot what year) celica. better watch out for that one too.
  3. I think i was driving infront of him last night at around 2am actually in cairnlea. if its the same one, car looks beautiful in person (atleast through my rear view)
  4. Haha i hear ya mate, will probably sort that all out after i drop her.
  5. Looking through the left wheel well whilst the guards have been pulled back. The wires is the one circled red. Closer view, the area that is circled blue is the left foglight housing. can anyone confirm that these are infact the wires which are for the foglights as there has been much speculation whether or not the gen 6 LE camrys (atleast the 07 models) are pre wired for foglights thanks Private
  6. Cheers mate, and i 100% agree with you Here are this weeks efforts, finally started hitting the mod list; 19x8.5 +45 PDW wheels. now to dump her about 3 fingers front and back. installed blue LED parkers. Also whilst changing the parkers, discovered some wires, i assume they are the ones for the fog lights? Ill post up pics of it in a sec.
  7. Sorry Stedyedy to hijack, but in regards to paint codes. the 061 diamond white paint code should be universal correct? but i went to my local auto store and requested for this 061 paint. they however did not have it in, but had "diamond white". The chap who helped me out looked up the toyota colours in there book, and for toyota...it said the diamond white colour code was completely different! Would the touch up paint labeld as "diamond white" be the same diamond white as 061? i called up toyota and they cant explain this either, they said it SHOULD be 061. on a side note, Stedyedy, thanks for your package mate. installed them yesterday and lovin the looks of it. much appreciated
  8. Styles and DA; yep ive just ordered them c16s the other day. getting them in this saturday after driving around to a few wheel joints on the west and east side of my town.
  9. Anyone know where i can pick up a paint repair kit for 061 in the melbourne area?
  10. Hey fellas, didnt want to start a new thread but i found this; Its off ebay and im highly considering this as i love the look of the rear SE. In regards with installation, what does this lip require installation wise so i can get a general idea on labour price. Cheers, Private
  11. Nuh its not for that particular model, its hard to find the exact ones for my model because not a lot, if any, people actually do mod up their gen 6 camrys but i will dwell into my research more. you got any suggestions though of ideal suspension set up?
  12. Thanks for your reply dave. These are the springs ive been really looking at and i came across this data off a site. Dont know if this data applies to my 07 camry though In the front King: 1.6-3.2kg/mm Pedders: 2.6kg/mm Lovell: 2.65kg/mm In the rear Kings: 1.7-3.0kg/mm Pedders: 2.8kg/mm Lovell: 3.0kg/mm To me, this terminology is new to me. All i know (without having the 19s on) is that i want to drop her about 2 inchs so the wheels fill in the archs. But whilst researching, i come across some much information which makes it confusing for a noob to learn ahha. What i gathered is if i change the springs, it is highly recommended to change a few other components too like shocks and struts. if i get coilovers, its a "Waste of money" as im not planning to race her. I realize there is no "best" suspension set up because everybody is different with all different needs and tastes, but what im after is all your recommendations to a noob about what would be best if you were in my position. Thanks Private
  13. Hey fellas, yes its another suspension set up thread. Ive done my research but im still torn between what lowering springs i should use? Im still torn between what brands and set up to use. What suspension set up (lowering springs and shocks) do you guys recommend keeping into consideration... - I am a daily driver - Avoiding rubbing issues as much as possible (with a full car load) - Car is 07 camry - Want to drop it about 1-3inchs (will finalise this decision once i got the rims on) - try maintain stock comfort as much as possible Thanks guys, all your help will be much appreciated as i have to make this decision sometime during this week Private
  14. I just read up on "retorque" as i was flicking through the PDW brochure. What is retorquing?, whats involved in it? if thats even the right way to spell it. Cheers private
  15. Tinz! yeah i know, was planning to get the CAI or panel filter done at around the same time as exhaust within a week of eachother anyway. exams are still going mate, last one tomorrow then i can tackle my mod list. might head down to advance tyres in burnley if i get the chance tomorrow arvo.
  16. Hey fellas, thought id finally intro myself here on the forums As by the title, this is my 2007 toyota camry LE bone stock, august 2009. Current mods - 35% tint - replaced LE grille to a black mesh grille (similar to that on the SE models) - 19x8.5 PDW rims, offset +45 - Blue LED parkers Except for that, currently stock, but upcoming mods are as follows; - 19 inch wheels (considering PDW c-16 black. will be purchased in the next couple of weeks) - Dropped, possible 1.5 - 2 inchs (will decide once i got the wheels on. again, will purchase in the next couple of weeks) - Blue parkers - Aftermarket Foglights - 5 to 6k HIDs (havnt decided) - Front and back Lip kits and rear lip spoiler - near complete LED interior conversion (smoked tailights?) - CAI installation, or if not, K&N air filter - Sports exhaust - number plates changed to white and black slimlines. Mods im still considering; - Amp and subby install in rear boot. probably one of the very last mods. installed front mesh grille in black, start of september 2009. Hope to share ideas and crits with you guys out there, so far you all have been really helpeful. Special mentions to DJKOR for his help so far. Private_number
  17. go a couple; Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load! Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load! Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!Been in that sort of hiphop combined with house phase at the moment (im a hip hop kid). Possibly it has to do with the fact i start my 4 month uni break soon.
  18. Thanks for your reply whip, i know my camry aint no 350z but i wanted a CAI for the noise factor and looks too! I just dont want to install it and having buzzers and all that stuff going off and then other things going wrong (when in actual fact there isnt anything wrong. I remember reading about someone installing CAI on there 07 camry I4 and some stuff like that happend. Still 70-30 with getting the CAI done, if anything this mod will be done in the new year before uni kicks off again.
  19. Hey guys, going to try my chances here before i tackle this mod first thing into the new year. In melbourne area looking for a front lip, rear lip or lip spoiler for my 07 camry. As far as i know, anything between 07-09 will be applicable. brand new preferable (or you can recommend a place where i can get this mod done) but if used thats ok. Cheers Private_number
  20. oh ok, its taking my a while to understand that as im fairly noob with everything. so correct me if im wrong, in n0ob terms...CAI on a I4 camry is useless?
  21. Will adding a CAI and sports exhaust affect the overal electronics of the car? Or is it simply just resetting the ECU so the car knows about its new figures?
  22. laterus; thanks for that, helped heaps. its good to hear from an "insiders" point of view/oppinion.
  23. 38; I havnt gotten anything for it yet, still shopping around but probably purchase them within the next two weeks. I like your approach, was considering to do that actually. Btw, sorry to ask again but by you not covering your wheels and audio stuff, did your premium go up?
  24. exactly what i was thinking, big rip off indeed. if i take your approach and tell my insurance company i have the wheel and suspension mod done to my car but i dont include it in my policy would the price i pay per year still go up? even though its not covered? All you guys have said its a big rip off and most of you are in the early 20s but because im 18, does it still justify the fact i will be paying 2 grand extra from you guys? either way i still think its a big rip off. what about when you guys were 18? did you have to pay similar prices for insurnace once you added suspension and wheels? thanks for all the replies guys, i will contact my insurance company in the next couple of days after i been monitoring what you guys have been advising me, its been very useful. I will then let you all what my insurance company has told me Private
