hey all new sportivo owner from brisbane! picked up my corolla sportivo last week and am loving it (except for some little things) My first toyota aswell. it's a 2004 Black preface corolla sportivo. Stock as a rock, mint condition 1 owner since new. I'm a nissan fanatic having all turbo nissans previously. This is my 4th car. Had a 180sx ca18det, n13 pulsar ca18det and a 180sx type x. Got over all the police attention, and wanted something 4 door, newish, and with a bit of go. So i ended up with the sportivo. Loving the lift and plan to do a few mods, not much as my other cars though. Whats annoying me so far is the shifting in the sportivo, it just doesnt feel 'right'. Might give the clutch adjustment a go. Probably end up doing cai, exhaust and lowering. so if anyone have stuff for sale << So far collected a 05 mp3 6-stacker and a xforce twin-tip muffler (mp01) (kinda like mp02 muffler more, so if anyone wants to swap?) witin the week! haha. looking forward to learning a few things from here. gets some pics up later of it! here's my old ride

hey just picked up a xforce mp01 twin tip muffler for my sportivo. was wondering if anyone got pics of it installed on their corolla. already tried searching, got a few mp02 pics. i want it to stay quiet, right choice?

oh, so it 'can' have a code, but from factory it doesnt have one? if this is the case, think i may give it a go then since he doesnt remember anything about a code. thanks

yeah i might give it a go see what happens. because they have that little security symbol on top of the headunits. plus my 04 one needs a code as i have it in my manual.

after a cai for a 04 sportivo and a 05 sportivo. seeing if any used ones around before buying new. in brisbane/gold coast would be good also after eye lids and grill for preface sportivo. if someone can link me to ebay or something that would be good, cant find them on ebay anymore

someone have a mate from toyota who can retrieve a security code for a head deck from the serial number? or does it have to be reset? dont want to pay for a code reason is got a free 05 headdeck from a mate, and wanna replace my 04 non mp3 one

i dont think the clutch is slipping otherwise my revs would be rising and the car going no where. it's like a half second pause of acceleration when i change gears 1-2, 2-3 (less noticeable), 3-4 (normal)

my gear changes does not crunch and is fairly smooth. but inbetween gear changes it feels like it bogs down then engages next gear, doesnt feel the same as other manual cars when changing high rpm. just doesnt bite straight away if you know what i mean. this is not normal is it? it is much more noticeable from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd you can still feel it a bit. and the rest of the gear changes are fine. do i need to adjust my clutch? even though i am not crunching at all?

hmm. well i've decided not to buy it. looked at few sportivo's and they are all one colour.. even though some of you say it's suppose to be like that? looking elsewhere. thanks

hey i am after any model that is on offer at a good price. but most likely would be pre-facelift as facelift tends to be above 15k. my budget is around 14k give or take depending on vehicle.

can someone else confirm this, as my mates 05 sportivo is not like this. all one colour.

oh. let me explain. see where the bonnet hinge/latch is. see how it's black and not red(the colour of the car). shouldnt that area be all red. if you look at your corolla you'll know what i mean. as in, shouldnt the radiator support be all one consistent colour. why is that area not painted where the bonnet latch is. im asking for advice because it kinda points towards it's been replaced then they forgot to paint that area because maybe they already attatched the latch. ill upload another pic.

hey just sold my car and am after a sportivo. dont have too much to play around with but trying my luck and saving more! after a sportivo from brisbane area and reasonably priced. may also travel interstate if it's worthwhile/cheap enough mods doesnt phase me as cheaper would be better for me! send details and price etc. thanks

hi im new to these forums and am chasing a sportivo. went to look at a red one on the weekend. was quite cheap but probably for a reason. noticed it was quite rough with things needed to be done here and there. but one thing caught my attention. i think it's the radiator support? was all red but around the bonnet hinge was black, like unpainted. it should be all one colour yes? the colour of the car? does this indicate it may have been replaced because of a accident? what do you guys think? did a revs check, came up all clear. thanks

emailed him for prices on sportivo items. didnt take that long to reply and seemed okay. but cant tell you of any transaction experiences
