Did some work putting in the 701 processor and sub amp today have to excuse the crap photos. (htc camera phone) Processor and fused distro. ARC audio KS 300.2 sitting on top of processor and distro note the little legs attached to amp. What it looks like from behind Added Optima yellow top battery as well had to make a new battery clamp to fit and also a Monster Cables 150 amp circuit breaker is mounted under that cover along the front. Close up of the reverse camera Another angle Kappa shots
  2. You could hook it up to your factory alarm so when you arm/lock your car windows go up.
  3. Im abit confused you said the 235/45 would be better option and better cornering but then recommend RE001 that dont come in 235/45 ? So my choices are Bridgestone RE050A Pirelli PZero or PZero nero Kumho KU27 all in 235/45
  4. Going off the Kumho site KU27's 225/45 R18 XL go for $380 :( But i will check with a tyre shop tomorrow. I knew the Adrenalins are gonna wear quick but i will read some more reviews they seem to be very popular.
  5. At this stage im thinking the RE001's $275 seems a great price where abouts is that from? I got a qoute yesterday for $390 fitted and balanced a corner.
  6. Hi there guys after some opinions of what people have used/using with these rims. I'm thinking 235/45/18 and potenzas depending on price looking to spend 250 - 350 per corner. Going by tyre calculator im guessing each bellow is fine. 225/45R18 Speedometer Difference: 1.315% too fast 235/45R18 Speedometer Difference: 0.037% too slow So far i have found Bridgestone Adrenalin Potenza RE001 - 225/45R18 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 - 225/45R18 Pirelli PZero Nero 235/45R18 Kumho pcr ku21 225/45 R18 RF $359.70 235/45R18 $374
  7. From memory there is 3 wires 1 gets earthed 1 wire does track up down volume up down then the last wire is the mode. When measured with a multimeter the values were very close (mode+track down) and the swi-jack (steering wheel control module) was only picking up 1 function so i cut the wire and added the resistor inline but that was for using the swi-jack not an auspack unit.
  8. I dont have a auspack headunit but when i was programming my steering wheel controls i had to use a 660 ohm resistor due the values of 2 buttons been so close together (mode & track down) so mode worked fine but when i went track down it would change the mode on head unit.

3 out of 4 18" Kappas turned up today :D Still waiting on 4000 series rotors + pads and springs :(
  10. Each to their own mate, but it's your safety/money at play there. Regardless of the ignition being on or not, the airbag control module can still have power applied to it. Having an airbag go off in your hands is not going to be a pretty sight. Dont get me wrong im not recommending to do it my way for someone who is doing it for the first time but someone who works on cars 5 days a week for last 5 yrs i have a quicker process which i have said above which alot of other co-workers use the same process but every car is different so you pick and choose.
  11. To add to that, you should disconnect your battery and wait at least 90 seconds before disconnecting the airbag. Then after that, it shouldn't matter if your accidentally turn your ignition on while the airbag is disconnected. But the whole disconnecting the battery thing isn't for this reason... it's for safety reasons. That said, I still feel a little bit on the edge every time I have to unplug an airbag. The through of it going off kind of scares me. Ingres, you saw me remove your airbag before when I fitted your foglights right? Dont know if insurance would cover that if you set it off your self modding your car. I usually just put a bit of masking tape over the key barrel to remind me to much effort disconnecting battery and re tuning radio stations lol.
  12. Just dont turn your key on while the airbag is disconnected.
  13. Yeah the prado one wont fit the camry but the camry one would fit the prado with the help of "ears" not that it helps you. I guess now you will have to buy a aftermarket radio and pocket.
  14. Yes the main power and rear speaker plugs will be the same just differnt colour wires.
  15. Wheels look great, what size tyres you got?
  16. Is this still on tonite where abouts the loop? Nevermind i will come next week dont have my nav atm might get lost. Was abit further away then i thought.

No real dramas i would have liked to take out the " P N R D S" plastic thing but it was sorta melted in place like it had a lug with locating hole and had been melted together and also in the centre of the air con control knobs got around the outside of the knobs not just the front part where green light is. Also forgot to add that by end of next week i might be in posession of some KAPPA rims.
  23. Thanks DJKOR I may have to buy both aswell very tough decission.
  24. Unlucky, do you happen to have a pic of the VIP2 fitted to your car other then the half shots you posted above?
