Hello :)
Yeah that was me, was fishing down a jetty somewhere there lol
I bought red lug caps off a US site, they're vinyl I think and slip on tight, $20 for 20
May, may not replace them with proper red lugnuts, dont know yet haha
No updates lately till I wrap the roof and paint the calipers, when thats going to happen I dont know lol
Got pulled over too that night or the night before, cops checked the wheels and said nothing, took my breath test, got my licenced checked and all good

On my next service will get Toyota to replace the stock pads with QFM HPX's from gslrally sport, $79 a pad
Used Bendix Heavy Duty's, good pads compared to stock but too much brake dust for me, and somewhere on this forum they say the QFM HPX's have less brake dust and good performance

They won't fit sorry, those bulbs will fit into an Aurion Presara headlights, not the ATX's. You will need to purchase a HID conversion kit(inc's ballast, wiring and bulbs), bulb size H11.
Juan.
Edit: you could eBay search, h11 hid conversion kit 35w 4300k
See how you like those

ah okay, thanks Steven
now to find/get some measurements
-
Hello Kluger owners
Could someone, anyone be so kind to take some measurements for me of their front brakes. I am planning to replace my dba4000 rotors, aurion calipers and pads with the respective Kluger parts, as it is a cheap big brake upgrade.
Could you please measure from the farthest point of the caliper to the middle of your wheel. I have 19inch rims but there's a step lip in the middle of the rim, so the Kluger calipers may not clear
thanks in advance with any help
Juan.
-
Quick question guys; until I can get measurements not too sure I could fit the Kluger rotors and calipers into my 19s, as towrds the inner lip there's a step up into the middle of the rim that tapers out to the inner outer part of the rim. Therefore if I stick to the 296mm dba4000 rotors and move upto the Kluger calipers, will I get, an up in performance to my current setup. Cheers.

Thanks to everyone for your input!
I headed to Ozzy to test fit 18x8.75 +35, forgot the tyre specs. Stock struts and springs.
Front was pretty flush - if not poking out a few mm.
Rears appeared to have plenty of room to play with.
Obviously this doesn't take into account what would happen if I were to change the springs.
Good stuff :)
Sticking with 18x8.75? no 18x9.5?
Just with the mentioned wheel and tyre shop, my experience was; bad after sale customer service, girls were great, but when passed onto the opposite sex, rude is what you will get. if you are going to purchase from them just make sure all aspects of the transaction is very clear, so you get what you want. might be different in the ACT though.
Yep definitely need to take into account if you wish to lower, on that note lowering the car will make it even nicer
Goodluck
Juan.

I have at least 2mm between coil-over and rim, tyres are mildly stretched so they curve in and don't rub on any suspension components.
If you really really want that setup, you need to do a test fitment with similar rim specs w/ a tyre installed as well .
I was advised against fitting the rims, so I did a test fitment rim+tyre at bob jane, and they fitted, now on the car no problems :)
As S*****wok mentioned, you may need to roll guards
If they stick out (most likely, mine are flush to the guards) you may have room to camber
goodluck
Juan.
Edit: remember: test fitment, it will help alot :)

Hi
quick question
what brakes upgrade should I go
upgrade fronts
currently dba 4000 slotted rotors+stock calipers+stock pads
to Kluger rotors+calipers+qfm pads
or
upgrade the rears
stock rotor+calipers+pads
to DBA 2707 slotted rotors+qfm pads
any advice appreciated
In my mind I should go kluger brakes
not looking for a full upgrade like TRD all around atm, something low budget atm
Juan.

the temptation to has always been there lol
theres a chance it will be added on the mod list now since you guys are very convincing, with your pics and all haha
it should have been like that from factory, matte black or a nice piano black to all the matte black parts, would look so much nicer
next mods are:
-DBA 2707S rear rotors
-Speaker upgrade 6x9's
-New headunit w/ 8" screen
-proper HID kit by phillips - ballast, wiring and bulbs
-Custom series plates, white background, black writing
-Red brake calipers DIY using G2 epoxy brush-on
-Red lug nuts or Red caps if feeling lazy
-QFM pads all around
-Larger exhaust tips/Black rear diffuser
-Sound deadening
Contemplating gloss black roof and duck-tail spoiler
will see how things go

Havnt got permission to view :/
oh, hrmm first time using tocau gallery, so sorry
Ill try another way
before
after(raised 10mm all around, same height as if it was on 20s and pedders lowering springs I believe)
I swear it handles better with the new height
exhaust still sits lower than 100mm, may have to raise it using Linhvo's method lol

If you search the forum, some have done a rear muffler delete and it sounds decent. There's some sound video links too. Good luck :)

On eBay, crazy the god sells them $499 or marsperformance.com $689.
In regards to quality, defyant modded angel eyes lights>Marsperformance angel eyes>crazy the gods angel eyes
I have the crazy the god angel eyes. Problems I had were finding the correct bulb, which was d4s had to pretty much purchase a new HID kit as my h11s did not fit. Secondly to replace a bulb you have to. You have to... remove the front bumper. The LED strips are not that bright. The bulb holder was loose, the screws were not threaded properly. Also they are not plug and play as advertised, custom wiring required.
Did not have the patient for the marsperformance angel eyes and do not have the skills that defyant do
so I am stuck with pretty poor quality lights. they work for the time being.
regards

Me and me mate used zio ties to hold the exhaust higher up. We took off all the rubber hangers.
But cops hardly check for ride height unless its RIDICULOUSLY low.i
Pedder's wanted $200 inc wheel alignment, will give it a go myself tomorrow night and get a wheel alignment elsewhere Toyota charges $75, so might get it done on my next service :)
That look sexy as hell man, that third pic is the money shot!
Thanks mate :), if only the forged concave's with lip were around the $2k mark
many likes
Thanks :)

Is he on the forum too? Seen so many 86's getting out of control lol
That fitment looks perfect, shame you have to heighten up a bit! Yellow stickers make the car look nicer I'd say ;)
Thanks :) Wanna raise it as I sold my stock rims, don't really want to spend money getting some to pass the pits lol as the wheels I have been told won't pass, so don't wanna get yellow stickered for anything to say the least lol, he reads but hasn't posted anything as its still stock :)
shud try loading the backseats maybe see if theres any rubbing. some reason i passed the pits with lowered springs on my car, it was about 8cm clearance
A guy reckons guards will scrub, but not the tyre to the coils. I've got 85-90mm ground clearance, damn exhaust, body kit has like 110-120mm
Yeah they don't fit lol, any idea where I could get some deeper black centre caps lol.It looks like you're missing centre caps?
But dayum. I knew they would fit and I knew they would look tough. Wasn't wrong :)
Thanks mate you gave me hope and everyone who commented, I just had to make it happen by testing fitting it with tyres, I'm happy with the results

Damn....the fitment on them look awesome! So wat r u gonna do with the 20s?
Thanks :)
Need to raise her up to legal height, as I do not want a yellow sticker lol
Sell them on gumtree and give the $$$ to bro so he can buy some rims for his 86 lol
-
Niceeeee finally got em!
Did you send up selling your old set? Saw them on Gumtree haha
Thanks :)
These are the same set, I went and did a test fitment with tyres and hoped for the best and accepted the tiny coil-rim clearance
Saw that wheel rotate and a big sigh of relief
So I removed the ad and put them on the car lol

Wheel update :)
Will ask a mate who has better photography skills and camera to do some shots
Fronts have decent rim-coil clearance >5mm
Fronts poke out a little, some camber should fix this
Rears are really close <3mm, wheels rotate and no rub noises during driving. so should be all good for now, see what happens
Tyres are stretched
