  1. Hi there I had the exact problem, the box whine when driving. Stop whining when I depress the clutch pedal. Took it to toyota and they re-grease my clutch bearings. I hope that helps :)
  2. MORE BAD NEWS!!!!!! Since I got my car back for the clutch issue, I've done 500kms on the car. Today when I decided to clean my garage. Moved my car out and I've found a puddle of oil on the floor!!! I was like WTF, grab a touchg ,getunder the car and found that my diff have a slow leak in it, and oil were all over the under tray. The workman ship of this dealer is bloody shocking!!!! Lucky this happen saturday arvo, otherwise they're so getting their ***** kick in. No I can't drive my car anyway because I don't want to cause further damage. My question is, do I have the rights to request for a new diff?? since I don't know how much damage it caused. I had a pretty bad run with this Werribee Toyota so far, any other dealer ou guys recommand? How about melbourne city toyota? what are they like?
  3. I've ask how could this happen when the car only done 7ks... they didn't give me a straight answer. I'm pretty sure they've done a patch up job. I'm keeping all my receipts from services and warrenty claim. 3yrs later when my warrenty expires, at least i have some prove shows that my box had being fix under warrenty and they only patch up the problem!!! I was so stupid not to get extended warrenty think this is gonna be a reliable car!!!! So far I've being back 3 times for warrenty claims....... not a happy jan
  4. Just had my car back from toyota after they had it for 2 day. Their fix is rip my gearbox out and re-grease the bearings......... But I still can't under stand why it happens when the car only done 7000ks.
  5. I haven't really have a chance to enjoy my sportivo at the moment. Gone back to toyota 3 times for warrenty jobs for varies problems and the car only done 7000ks :(
  6. Morning all On sunday, while I was crusing with music off. I can hear chirping sounds coming from the front. However that sounds dissapear when I depress the clutch. Took it to toyota yesterday, they can't work out what is going on and have to rebook it so they can take out the gear box and find out the course. They reckon the noise is coming from the pressure place finges. I've already rebook to have the box pull out. I was woundering if anyone here have the same problem and what was the result to this problem. My car is a 05 sportivo with 6800ks on the clock. Thanks :(
  7. I've read an artical in a RACV mag and they reckon the Caltax vortex 95ron perform better then Mobil 8000 and optimax. The only thing thats better is the BP ultimate. I've using BP for a long time but swtich to caltax lately and haven't had any problem with the car
  8. Try CGU as well, I'm currently had my sportivo insure with them I'm 26, only costing me $770 a year with windscreen protection and life time rating 1
  9. oh forgot to add, its running mega rich too on cold start. Is this normal??
  10. nar, it doesn't shakes but it sounds like its gonna stall then came back to life again. hard to explain, it looks like its gonna cut out then it rev back to 1800ish rmp again. strange
  11. Hi Recently I've realised my 05 sportivo is doing something weird on cold start. When you crank your key over. It start to rev to 2K rpm then quickly bog to 1000-1200rpm then slowly rise back to 1800K. Sometimes it'll bogs down even more and sounds like it'll stall!!!!! This is not normal isn't it? :(
  12. I find that you don't really have to do H&T when you down shift from 6 to 5. From 5 to 4 you only need to rev around 500rpm. From 4 => 3=>2 i generally give it 1000-1500 depends on the speed i was traveling
  13. While I'm doing some research on the net for the mods for my car. I came accross this artical http://paultan.org/archives/2005/10/26/toy...lla-compressor/ If only we get this car in australia.......... B)
  14. Thanks Nick will give them a call. I've just heard a few negative stories about their service department a while back, maybe they have improved by now.
  15. Hi Nick (BalckJet) Was that you I've saw this morning around 06:20 this morning traveling on the freeway towards laverton? :) If so, very tidy car. Are those HIDs on your car? Looks very nice. :) Regards Col
