  1. Hey guys,

All year Presara's and the facelift ZR6 apparently have the auto tilting of the passenger side mirror when reversing to help view blind spots and achieving a good reverse parallel park.

Found this link on the prius forums, to seemingly add the functionality.

Anyone know if this is possible on other Aurions - Atx, Prodigy, etc.? I'm guessing it wouldn't be the exact part/pcb as documented at the above url, but hopefully someone has or can identify the locally used extra module(s) and wiring the presara has for this capability so we can add it?? (perhaps the whole mirrors themselves are different too, motor inside, etc?)

Also, any chance of the Aurion having this ability as described here in the 2nd point "When doors are locked by remote or key, the mirror will auto fold in. You don't have to manually push the button in the car to fold the mirror after parking too. By adding this module, you can tell your car is lock/unlock from a distance just by looking at the mirrors to see if they are folded or not.

    Regards

I still look out the door and over my shoulder even with a reverse camera lol

  3. If you can get 20 X 8 Inch, you should be fine.

You can get 20 X 8.5 Inch aswell but you might have issues with insurance.

oky doky I'll email me insurer n ask a couple o questions

  4. I'm looking to start my modifications with the old wheel/tyre game.

I would like to get 20s...Will I need to modify anything else immediately such as brakes suspension etc...

I'm asking because the wheels n tyres I'm looking at will cost around $2500 and I won't be able to afford any other mods until I save up again. Also any warranty voids come into play here?

You shouldn't have any issues running 20s and wont need to change anything else. Just make sure you get the right offset and load compliance from the wheels and tyres. Check out the FAQ up the top of this forum section.

Theoretically you can void some parts of the warranty concerning the suspension if you change, but it depends on who you talk to at Toyota as to if you get covered if something goes wrong.

thanks matey...will look into things a bit more

  6. After the ECU restart and amping up my driving style to a bogan v6 driver I can definitely feel that the car is much much more loose, it doesn't feel like its holding itself back.

I would be more than certain that it's your own driving that accounts for the change in feel if your ECU was reset more than a few start/stop cycles ago.

... gives me more time to enjoy jjj on the wireless ;0)

You remind me of my old TAFE teacher  Not in a bad way or anything. Just brings back memories to when he would yell out 'who's got the wireless going?'.

Ha Ha I have always tried to keep "classic" words going another favorite is flash :D
  7. I'm sure my information in the manual and or door says 30.....is anyone else running the tyres at 30????????????????

I might give 38 ago all though before this car I liked 33. My current rides tyres look a little flat at the front but I thought having standard as purchased wheels n tyres that the powers that be at Toyota know best since this is my first toyota I'd go along for the ride so to speak..........WHAT SHALL I DO?

  8. I was with a friend today who wanted to buy an Aurion AT-X. I managed to haggle down to a reasonable price but i'm not sure if it's cheap or not. Can you tell me if this is too high or about right?

    Toyota Aurion AT-X Silver

    2008

    61xxxkm

Drive away no more to pay price - $20500

Service was done every 15000km. These cars are up n down like yo yos sometimes $18000 sometimes 20 odd but always worth looking at em me thinks
