  1. Mt Nebo! There is something mysterious out there that sucks the petrol out of the tank at a high rate of knots and also eats away your tyres!!

    HAHA

Sydney has the worst roads I've driven for sure and I was on 25th click (hardness) /36 setting on my coilovers :).

  2. Take the left wheel off.

Take the guard lining off. You can do this starting from the front as you wont need to undo the whole thing, just enough to get inside the left guard.

The big black plastic box thing you see is it. I think it is 2 bolts holding it in.

Looking at the engine bay, if you had extra vision, it would be under the battery.

  3. So are you saying it comes on with the handbrake is off and turns off when the handbrake is on? Or is it on all the time? Someone played with the switch recently?

  4. If you are scared of the speaker being too large that it might hit the window then you can use washers to avoid this.

Then you will need to make sure that the excursion of the cone doesnt hit the trim panel :)

If you do want to stick with the 6x9 style splits, Alpine used to have a set and they weren't expensive either.

  5. Well I would advise against getting aftermarket 6x9 as they are designed for parcel shelves where the boot is their box. The door does not have enough volume and you probably will be disappointed. Further more they have huge magnets which will probably foul your windows. The toyota speakers are also usually held on by 3 screws so you will need to drill new holes anyways. So if you want to upgrade the fronts, make some mdf spacers and get some normal 6.5in splits in there as there will be lots more choices and sound better.

dude seriously that bug is annoying, lol (maybe just as annoying as my big pictures ? haha :P) i keep tapping my screen AND moving my mouse to make it move ahahha !

back to the topic: soo what about the rears, leave it as 6x9's ?

Hahaha :P Can't find the one that I had that works in the signiture area.

If you want quality, a nice set of 6.5in splits will kill 6x9s easily.

  7. anyhwoo, here is one i intend to use, (but only when low fuel light is on,)

get pulled over and ask why speeding,

i say: oh i was running out of fuel (as you can see with my low fuel light warning) , i wanna get to a petrol station asap in case i run out of fuel,

hehe :P dunnoe if it will work though,..

That won't work because you use more fuel going faster lol

  8. Most parts of the sound systems in the toyotas are made by Fujitsu ten (Eclipse). The upper models arent too bad for stock. Usually they aren't very powerful and 15w would be a good estimate, however I ran mine 80w rms and they were a lot better and they didnt blow up either.

  9. Bad luck mate. As Andrew said the excess is there with all insurance companies. Just need to find one that is cheap enough in terms of premiums and least amount of excess. However once you mod the car be prepared for heftier premiums as they know not a lot of options is out there for you. Gotta pay to play :).

Shannons is good if you are above 25 and have a nice driving record. Paying 900 a year and 500 excess with lots of major mods.
