  1. Well seeings this is open slather now I'd love to come along! Day meet would be preferable for me, just cos I gotta get back to Bendigo. Although it's an easier trip now that it's all freeway.

Will be nice to see everyone again and people that weren't able to make it to the TOCAU annual meet in June.

I'd love for you to come to the meet, considering we still haven't got that photo of our two cars together yet haha. :P

Hahah well I'll definitely be there then!! ;) Altho those new rims show me up now, so we'll have to do another shot in a few more months when I'm running some different wheels!

Am happy to meet wherever during the day, the TomTom will get me there lol

  2. okay so far looks like we got 10 people +

    here's the list of interests:

    6. mrmps

    9. johnnieboi

    10. shin0bi

    9 zre's, 1 aurion.

    anyone else?

Ohhh come on,one more Aurion is needed,so we can at least be the book-ends on all these rolla's in the photoshoot... :D

I'm also use to hanging with heaps of rolla's,this is me chasing 5 of em thru the hills of outer Melbourne... :)

Hahaha Lee - sorry I don't own an Aurion, otherwise I'd be up for it!! But somehow I think a gold Cam would make an odd bookend to all the rolla's lol

  3. Hi all, unfortunately I can't make it down for a look-see now :( Like Andy I've gotta head in the opposite direction and go up to North East Vic - family thing I can't avoid has come up...

Would love to see photos/results of the dyno afterwards, and definitely count me in for whatever the next meet is!! Some kind of meet-up in August maybe??

For sure mate. There is always next time.

I can't wait for another cruise............. hand itches ..............

Excellent - am glad there will be a next time :D Would love to take the Cam out on another cruise, maybe later in the year we would be able to do the original cruise route that was proposed? Or a portion of it. I've never been out that way to Healesville, King Lake etc

  4. Gotta go with the Azura...Good looking car and you will have no issues with reliability as stated. Plus, far more features in the price. But as has been said you're not gunna know for sure until you hop in both of them and give 'em a real good workout.

And just to chuck my 2 cents in, I didn't pay that much and mine's a manual Camry Sportivo. I wouldn't be paying that much for an Altise. And yes, mine only had 19,000km on the clock for an '06 when I picked it up as dealer demo.

  5. Edit: Hahahah Vinh - do I get more points cos it's a manual?? :P

Bonus points goes to you for the shot of the white ZRE! :P :P

Hahahah I thought you would like that one!! It did look very good rolling past and I had fun shadowing you through the curves, the Camry was snapping at your heels ;)

Am looking forward to Zoran's photos/video footage, I know he took a shot my my car and the others behind when we were stopped at some lights on a slope, think it might have been in Lilydale. Plus I want to see that vid of him spinning it up through the grass & mud :D

  6. Hey Matt, glad you joined up :D I must admit I voted for your engine bay as well, I just loved it all. The amount of effort and love put into that car has all been worth it as it looks absolutely fantastic. Hope to catch up if we get some more Vic meets happening :)

  7. Great shots Tash, they all came out really nice. I especially like the shot of your camry out the front of the Toyota Head Office

Thanks Matt :D That was a really nice surprise when I uploaded the photos onto the laptop. For a couple of years old 5MP Kodak (its about twice the thickness of digital camera's these days) it takes some really great shots. I love the couple of photos of your 'Rolla I got though, the Aurora Gold decision really was a good one, it looks fantastic.

  8. great photos Evan & Tash they look heaps better than mine  ,good work keep em coming...

Heheh not at all, I really enjoyed yours too :D I think between all of us that had camera's there'll be heaps of fantastic shots and all the cars covered. Am really looking forward to more freeway/cruise shots and Pete's shots; he posted on Auscam that he didn't have his cables with him so won't have his photos up until this weekend.

Just sooooo many good looking cars on both days! Loved your pics too Evan, god those N95's take great snaps.

Edit: Hahahah Vinh - do I get more points cos it's a manual?? :P

  9. Meets are only once a month. No excuse to miss it now do we ??

Do come for the Dyno Day, the more the merrier.

Hahahah well seeings I'm in cos it's a manual I better check out my schedule!! I hope I'd have no excuses to miss them :D Part of me is kind of interested to dyno the car, just to see if it is correct with what output is supposed to be and know a bit more about it, but dunno whether I'd be too embarrassed lol Reckon I'll just come down and suss it all out :)

  10. That's why I placed myself at the back of the 'fast pack' - I had plenty of space between those right up front and then the slower cars behind me, so I had a really good time pushing the Cam through the curves. I suppose it was more about people's driving ability on the day and road conditions, as was noted it was a little hard to tell in spots where there was oil on the road, puddles etc but I think overall it went well - it's always going to be hard to keep a sizeable pack contained.

I'd definitely be interested in a more regular Melbourne meet-up if a Camry is welcome amongst all the Rolla's hehehe Although being in Bendigo I dunno that I would make it every month. Dyno day sounds interesting, I've always wanted to see how one works.

  11. was such a good weekend and now i am so sad it is over. :( It is also the first time i pushed "the boat" a bit too :-D lol I got the message guys...haha...apart from that many thanks to all those involved in organising that national meet and special thanks to Andy. :)

Hopefully we can do those type of cruises with the locals more often and I really enjoyed the company and rides of everyone. ^_^

+1 on more local get togethers,i think i've caught the cruise bug... :D

+1 again for me - I would love to come down from Bendigo a bit more often to get together with any members of the local crew, as long as you guys don't mind one Camry amongst the rest hehehe

  12. Cruise today was fantastic, and the rain held off all day apart from a bit of spitting. I did get my wish for a car "wash" later in the day though as it absolutely poured down on my return trip to Bendigo!! Was a gorgeous cruise route when I took a look at the scenery and wasn't busy cornering, very impressed with the stock Cam's handling although seeing you all with your mods has given me a fair few ideas hehehe

Will wait until the official picture thread is up and about before I post up what I've got, should be a few good ones and I took a few out of the windscreen today. Can't be bothered getting the camera out right now :P And I can't wait to see the pics we got on the freeway!

Heheh Akuma, I hope we are the only ones in Vic with a Gen 6 manual - although the others don't know what they're missing out on!! Soooo much fun today :D

  13. I don't expect to win any prizes, but I do beleive i'll be the only Aurora Gold Aurion there. :P

I know someone has a Gold Camry (cant remember your name sorry! :o) but we'll def get a photo shot at that! :P

That'd be me! So neither of us can claim to be the only Aurora Gold Toyota heheheh I'm not expecting to win any prizes either (that's not what the meet is about anyway I don't think, it's just a bonus :)) but I've got no idea what kind of miracle Pete might work with my car!

I think I can probably lay claim to a couple of "only's" - one being the only Gen 6 manual Sportivo, and the other might be the only Gold Camry *shrugs* But I'm really looking forward to tomorrow and the cruise so I can find out!!

If you're coming on the cruise Tofuboi it'd definitely make some good shots of the Gold cousins ;)

  14. Hahah - I would like to see you hop in the plane in all that gear whitestivo!! Am totally excited about the meet this weekend, I will be heading down to Melbourne tonight but won't be able to make the dinner. Stoked that I get my car cleaned by Pete as well heheheheh

See you all at Brighton tomorrow!! :D
