  1. I've been using RainX additive to the washer bottle and bosch premium wiper blade refills for the past 6 months and they are awesome.

Its really funny when you are driving on the freeway and there is no need for the wipes cause the droplets just bead right off the windscreen

  2. I'll take you up on that offer!!

    You have PM!

While indeed the superstrut twin piston calipers do use 275mm disc, I believe the mounting points on the hub of the zze12# corollas are shorter compared to the AE series corolla. Therefore it is essentially the same.

With that in mind actually, would mounting sportivo/celica calipers on a ae series corolla allow the use of a much larger disc????? 296mm????

I may have stumbled upon something here....

Cause if mounting ae101 twin piston calipers allows the use of 275mm disc on a ae101, but on a zze123 only 255mm. Then if we think about it logically, wouldn't we be able to use zze123/zzt231 calipers mounted on a ae101 corolla to obtain a potential use of a 295mm disc????

Someone surely must have tried it, with so many people with the older series corollas....

  3. Click here

In short you will be going to need to use 255mm disc brakes from the regular zze122 corollas. Which IMO is not worth doing, as while although you are going to obtain more even pressure and larger pad area, you will be going backwards due to going down to a smaller disc (275mm vs 255mm)

  4. The stock system, including the air intakes are designed to take off better at the lights etc. But once you get past say 3.5-4K rpm they are not exactly ideal in terms of performance. I've tried it several times and everytime I go back to 'stock', the car performs better right off the line and everyday driving, just seems to take a long time before I get it into the next gear.

  5. Coilovers and not adjustable???

You will be hard pressed to find a set for that price brand new, unless of course you are quoting USD. Even then you would be buying a low quality product. Is there any reason why you are choosing coilovers?? For that price you would be able to get a fairly decent quality shock/spring combo which will suit street purposes fine. If your heading to the track then its a different story, as coilovers are really stiff. But since you mentioned that it doesn't have to be adjustable, then I'm ruling proper track work out....

  6. Shameless free plug.

    205/50/16's

    Toyo T1R's $198

    Toyo Proxes 4s $178

He gave me a deal I couldn't refuse.

Goodyear Eagle F1 DS-G3 for ... $145 fitted and balanced!! I remember getting a quote on these tyres off another place for $230ea, but this was last year.

But unfortunately I don't think he would do it for that price again, cause I asked him (Ken) about it.

    Blairs tyres

    Lansvale

    9724 0771

When I was ringing around for prices, Blairs at lansvale always gave me one of the cheapest prices around. Once you've purchased four of them, rotations are for free for the life of the tyre.

I'm not related to them, but just was so happy about the deal that I got. So for the people around sydney, I recommend that you guys give them a call when getting some quotes.

    Cheers,

    Thai

  7. bah, engineers crunch numbers all day. I'm one of them, but I'm a chemical engineer and work in the water/wastewater side of things with regards to membrane development.

Think of desalination and I have my part in it.

Don't let big numbers get to you, there not that important unless its to do with your personal savings :D

  8. If its 3m wide then, you just multiply 3.14*1.5*1.5*950000*1000=6711750000L/hour. Thats assuming that the air travelling through the 3m circular opening is at 950km/hr. Then we have to take into account other factors.

Anyone here is an aerospace engineer??

  9. y cant u watch ur tacho tho? my 1zz didnt rev out that fast that the tacho was a blur

Cause someone has a TRD supercharger bolted to his 1zz

Definitely required if your on the track though, which I'm pretty sure vvti16v frequents
