  1. WTF 11.5/100 km thats too high. How are you calculating this?. I generally get 8.3-8.5l/100km out of my Sportivo.
  2. Things like CAI and exhausts are not a big deal. I'm under the impression that Toyota know that these items dont do our engines any damage (if installed correctly). I dont think I have ever heard of a case on this forums where any warranty claim has been refused because the above items. I suppose if Toyota agrues with those items you can take them to small claims. Its when you start pulling apart the motor and playing with the ECU thats its a real problem. Plus I believe that they have to prove that that part installed is what actually what caused the damage to the engine. Hey Northy, I was just wondering how you got caught out by Toyota. Was it because of these forums or could they prove that the ECU had been swapped. Also, did they put in the new engine then ask questions, or did they investigate and tell you that they refused your claim, and that it would cost you this much if you wanted to fix it.
  3. mine does the same with the stock pads. Started around 12K though, and I have slight shudder when initially applying brakes at higher speeds 80km-100km. Ive got my 30K service coming, up so i hope they fix it then cuz Toyota didnt do jack at my 20K.
  4. Hey I currently have a set of Falken Ze-512 225/35R18 tyres on my '05 stivo. I'm looking at getting a new set now, so I want to go to 40 profile but am worried about scrubbing, putting my speedo out an reducing the performance of my car. Does any1 have any advice about using a 40 profile?
  5. I want to buy an AW11 MR2 Supercharged Jap Spec. Where can I get 1 in Melb?
  6. Im starting to get bored with the look of my '05 Stivo dash. I like the red, but I think the instruments need silver surrounds or something, just to define them. Any1 seen any for the stivo?
  7. Well you gotta admit the back seat of the COMMONdore is pretty good. Just ask MAX002s sister. I hope JC wiped his cheese all over your car you tool.
  8. Or look on US EBay EBAY U.S. Thise TWM shifter look too short, so it may be difficult to reach with the design of the armrest and console. I'm interested in purchasing TRD short shifter. If any1 else is too id really be interested in a group buy. Hey Kaze-Stivo, any chance you can set us up with ur contact in Honk Kong, cuz $240 bux is a bargain.
  9. Whats wrong with the TRD shifter? maybe it's his arm :P j/k some ppl find short shifters require too much effort to shift. extra effort definantly does not help when driving all day but the main reason was to put the ****er up nice and tall again.... i actually spaced it up taller easier to changes on those long **** bends So should I save my money, cuz I though that a short shifter would make it easier to drive and help hitting lift 1st to 2nd.
  10. Whats wrong with the TRD shifter?
  11. Hey Im interested in purchasing a TRD short shifter for my '05 Stivo. I was going to get it from TRD sales but it looks like they are having some issues, plus it is a bit on the expensive side. Can any1 recomend another place to get the shifter at a decent price?
  12. MMM, I bought a set of 4000k Osram cool blue halogen globes today. All I can say is that they are less yellow and thats about it. Nothing blue or white about them. Visablility is quite good though. O well I suppose thats what u get for 26 bux. I'll need to buy some HID's.
  13. Northy, When you say problem do you mean the chu chu miss or the hesitation. Also was the problem car a pre or post-facelift.
  14. Northy, Do you know if its a problem with CES or intakes in general. I returned the car back to stock for the time being, and its fine now so its definently the intake. Although now I have a significant decrease in performance in stock form and I miss the the sweet intake rumble.
  15. Bangn has an spoon axle back system, and i believe he holds the quarter mile record on the forums. Anyway i'm not sure if the CES will give you any significant over your current system. Most aftermarket exhausts for the stivo would give similar gains. Generally those the gains are not signifiacnt on the Dyno but they make a big difference in top end power down the quarter mile (i.e. go from a low 15 sec quater mile to a mid to high 14 second quarter). But if you want a nice sounding muffler, the CES has very nice note without canon like droans (personally I like a quiet muffler with an intake only rumble).
  16. Thanks Daz. Also, with the injen do get a like an occasional CHU CHU sucking sound, rather than a smooth continuous suck. My CES sounds like their is a mis in the engine (especially when cold), and when I first installed it was hesitating and had continuous mis sound. I had to reset the ECU 4 times before I got rid of the hesitation (I left the battery unpluged overnight and checked the vacume lines). I'm just thinking 3 inch is too big for the 2ZZ or is injen the same too.
  17. Hey I currently have a CES intake on my facelift Sportivo, but the intake does not quite fit and i dont wanna do any body mods to make it fit. Currently It only fit because I have loosened the top bolts on the headlight and removed the bolt from the side, but the headlight sticks out a bit now, and it looks like Ive had a bad prang job. I believe the injen is 2.75 inches, so it may be a perfect fit but I need to confirm. Anyone?
  18. Im interested in purchasing a new HID kit. I was just wondering if any1 with a facelift corolla has a 4300K-4500K HID kit on thier car, and if they found that they were suitable. I've had previous experience with a 6000K HID kit, but found it too bright.
