  1. You will prob lose a bit of power down low and response due to the increased length of pipe.
  2. Bed them in Does that mean, wear em in carfully or thrashed them in. Ive heard both.
  3. Not much I think they took 10% off for the CES exaust group buy. If they take 10% off $442 for the intake its around $396 plus postage.
  4. Ive just had my discs replaced under warranty but they wont change my pads, and the stocky pads are crunching. Hey i was going to buy a set of EBC green stuff pads for the front and black stuff for the back on my 05 stivo. Has any1 had experience running green stuffs on stock rotors?
  5. Hey, No Kompressor here. Ive never dragged a GTI, but I think they are pretty simular. I was reading a copy of motor magazine and they did a test run doen the quarter and I think it did a 15.4 Ive only been to the track and I did a 15.3, other on this forums get mid to high 14s, bangn got a 14.46 quarter with a few small mods. But I sure a worked GTi will destroy a corolla. Anyway I imagine stock for stock they are simular, with the GTi being a better car but with a much higher price tag (i.e 15K plus more than the stivo). The JDM headlight mod is custom, ZAV set up a DIY on the forums so look in the Inside/Out section.
  6. Pretty sure the part number is different for the 2zz-ge I think its 21-466, I think 21-469 is for the 1zz-fe. Careful guys, make sure you order the correct one for your vehicle.
  7. Specialized FD up, that was 245 in US dollars.
  8. I had this problem a while back, they replaced almost everything in my box, over 3 grands worth of parts and labour.
  9. Its all good I paid for it today. I'm loving the shifter after driving your Rolla. I cant wait to get it. No more missing lift now.
  10. crap I just noticed this group buy, I want in if its not too late.
  11. I think 25-26K is about right under 30km, maybe a little more with mods. There is a good chance most cars for sale have been in some sort of accident, and you probably will get into one evenually. If the repair job is good and you cant tell, then it should be ok. If its a backyard repair, stay away.
  12. I had an extreme close call with the back of a magna the other week. I havent hit lift since. Sort of made me realise that I could kill myself and others when I drive it hard. Im driving like a granny now.
  13. Gees thats short, how to reach the gear stick around corners. I guess you cant rest on your arms rest while changing gears.
  14. My hubs were already black when I bought the car new, so no rust look. Not sure y yours are rusty, maybe pre-facelifts didnt get painted hubs.
  15. Well the advatgage of buying a stivo was when it was new, at under 30K, the celica new was well over 40k. I'm sure you can pick up earlier model celicas (2000 model) for around the same price as 2004 stivo. Just depends if you want a newer car or not.
  16. 45 bux is cheap, its a bit of a job since u have to support the engine to remove the crossmember to get it in
  17. Ive heard that certain vehicles with MAF sensors are not suppose to use oil on their air filters (i.e. WRX). It apparently builds up on the maf and stuffs up the readings. Now I'm cleaning my K&N pod filter today, so I would like to know if I should oil i should oil it or not. Also I have a CES with a K&N POD, but I would like to know if the other intakes (TRD, AEM, Injen) come with an oiled filter or not.
  18. I had to reset m ecu like 4 times afer installing my CES CAI before it ran properly. I had major hesitation. My VSV valve is still noisy as hell though, sort of makes cough sound when idling.
  19. I have 18s with 225 wide tyres riding on whiteline control springs. No rubbing or scrubing at all ever. So i dont think you have to worry. Just get a 35 or 40 profile, 45 is too much. The tyre shop should get the offset right for you.
  20. Nunawading gave gave me two prices for the skirt. I rang them up and they said $280 bux inc GST, then went to pay upfront and they said $330. I told them that they quoted me $280. They said they dont know what I'm talking about and they couldn't do it cheaper. I then said stuff em.
  21. Itl fit but the exhast will melt the skirt. You need to get holes cut in the skirt or modify your exhaust (i.e. dump pipe or lower it).
  22. Nice Ride I have havent seen a facelift with silver sportivo badges on the side skirts, I'm assuming you did that yourself. Just wondering, i have those altezza lights but the bottom one does not light up (there is a globe in it). Just wondering how you hooked it up.
  23. Man I drive in city peak hour traffic everyday. I'd get your car checked out cuz 11l/100 is very high. Anyway if it is Sydney peak hour traffic killing ur fuel economy i doubt the mazda 2 will be much lower than what you get now. Anyway in peak hour you should get around or just under 600km with the fuel light on for a bit and around or over 700km when you use the full 60L and you have to jerry can it to the next servo.
