  1. Sweet please try to send to Melb ASAP. I'm going to Calder the week after on Friday, so I would love to have it installed then. Gotta beat 14.3 (dreaming*****)
  2. It something pretty close to 2.25 inches but its a metric size 60mm or something.
  3. Geez all black. How do people see you on the road? I gotta admit the stock wheels in black do look good.
  4. I agree they look more like 19s, it will look alot smaller with 17s.
  5. I think I'm convinced on the S10. I'll probably just get a twin tip welded on. cheers
  6. No thats one of those chad little conned fllters with an extension, your filter will still get engine heat. What you have to understand is that even if you have a pipe or cut a whloe in your bonnet to your filter, you will still suck in engine heat. You need to box it off so the cold air is trapped somewhere and little or no engine heat gets in. Basically box it off, run a pipe or two under your headlight and suck cool air from your bumper. If its not boxed your only really getting minmal cold air, as well as wasting money.
  7. I got the same thing, I pulled half my dash apart trying to find, but sonds like its coming from the airvents or something around the passenger side. Its really anoying when in lift. But yeah I dont think its the gear cables if its from the passenger side then.
  8. I suppose if every1 buys 4, then we only need 12.5 group buyers, is that right?
  9. dont do that it will look ****. Just box it off and get pipe to the bumper.
  10. I need some new brakes, mine are rooted. Look if the price and shipping is right I'll be in for a full set. Also can they get us a good price on some brake pads to suit (something good for street (i.e. actually works when cold) with no squeel and low brake dust). Also do you need 25 people or 25 rotors, cuz 25 member actually going through with a group buy is a difficult task.
  11. Yeah, missing the engine cover. It would be interesting to see a sportivo with a 1ZZ I was actaully thinking about buying the wagon corrolla of the same colour. Just swapping my sportivo facelift front, engine/trans, interior then sell the sportivo with 1ZZ, wagon front and interior cheap. Its a crazy Idea but it would be unique. But prob have trouble VicRoads changine engine numbers and stuff.
  12. uni filters dry up and need to be oiled regulary. Stay with the cotton and synthtic filters
  13. I think its a vacume line that operates the flap to the back to the standard airbox. You dont need to connect it, just unplug it and block the vacume line. Doubt it will make a difference, its just use less now so no need to connect.
  14. Photos as promised After a long drive this weekend, I am still loving the cold air intake. I wish I could give it 11 out of 10, best purchase ever!!!!
  15. Take it back, they should be able to cut back the orange peal, not sure about the rest though. Sounds like a dodge place you went to
  16. Get race options to refund you the difference between an SRI and CAI. Then just sell it on the forums for a little cheaper and you will make the most of your money back. I'm sure some1 will buy it. An an AEM SRI is a rare in AUS for a Rolla. Post up pics
  17. Much smoother. My car idled like a pig with the stock box, maybe my filter was too old, not sure.
  18. So far, no luck. Maybe I'l just get one of those twin tip add ons.
  19. Sounds sweet. I'm looking for a muffler at the moment too, however Im sort of after a twin tip
  20. My USB cable is at work. Will post pics tomoz. Left battery disconnected for an hour, so the ECU should be reset.
  21. Ouch, dont deal with race options again. They rip you off with shipping too and take back quotes$. We dealt with CONICELLI PARTS SPRINGFIELD and bought TRD intakes for not much more than AEM.
  22. Ive tried something simular before. Wasnt too impressed. You are better off spending a bit of money and buying a reputable CAI (TRD, injen, AEM). Its worth it.
  23. Helped Specialized Intall it tonight. Took about an hour a car. Everything fit in perfectly. Came with all the necessary brackets and extras we didn't use. We discoved that you can fit the TRD filter in with the fog light still in on the facelift. Basicly take off the foglight off, shove up the intake, then intall the foglight back on. It a tight fit but the bottom of the filter (plastic bit) touches the foglight, so I'll just use the foggies when I need them. The cars started up straight away and sounded just like stock. Took them for a spin, and there was no loss in response, actually felt better than stock. Once warmed up we gave them a thrashing, and WOW!!. There is a noticable power increase and sound is incredible. I cant belive how well it idles now. With the stock box my car idled like s.h.i.t. Now its so smooth. My Rating 10 out 10!!!!!!!
