  1. Oh well theres nothing you could do.
  2. Just get a bonnet and bumper respray every 3 years.
  3. I emailed toyota about this, but no reply. Can we get an email or letter to confirm this?
  4. he wil prob charge a fortune, takes like most of the day to do
  5. MMM, now just wondering if TRD parts are genuine Toyota parts now since they are part of their add campain and new car lineup. I suppose reading the above that if you have a TRD CAI you should still be covered under warranty unless the part fails. Any1 wanna email toyota and find out. I havent got that much warranty left, so I guess it doesn't really matter too much.
  6. I really like the the sportivo steering wheel. Last time I sat in a levin I thought the wheel looked weird, but I guess its just what you get use to. The stivo wheel from what I can see is teh same as the Lexus SC430 wheel just without the woodgrain.
  7. There is simply no comparison between the Levin Japanese build and the Sportivo - South African build. Even the warranty on the L:evin is far greater than the South African built car. That is why the Levin costs more. It is simply better built and higher quality. I believe my sportivo is built as well any levin. Nice panel gaps, good quality stiching, perfect fit inteior, very good paint and overall nice finish. I think its a stereotype that SA cars are poorly built. I mean if they bulid VW and BMW in south africa, I dont see whats wrong with an SA Corolla.
  8. I agree take it back to toyota and ask for a clutch adjustment. Do not take no for an answer. Give them the finger and then say you will take em to court. The adjustment will fix it. After you pick it up they will say they didnt find anything wrong with it, then you take it for a drive and you'll be like what the hell, its like a new car now. I think its their way of fixing the car without admitting fault and a re-call. Just do not take no for an answer and do not let them give you the run around.
  9. I had simular experience with the above mentioned intake. I think it depends on the car. Its just too damn big for some 2ZZ but works fine on others. I think its the luck of the draw if it works on your car.
  10. Purcell is that associated with BB's Garage. ;) Wink wink, nudge nudge!! If there is a achaaaargerrrrrrrrrrr!! bless me ,is it worth the effort for the extra 10kw.
  11. Thanks for setting the record straight XOOM. So it seems that Heathcote is still reputable as drag racing track, with a correct quarter mile length and gradient, which is used for ANDRA sanctioned events.
  12. I was under the impression ANDRA hasn't sanctioned this track because of its shortfall in distance by around 15m it also has a downhill gradient that also means it cant be ANDRA Sanctioned. The following document contradicts your above statement. It says fully sanctioned by ANDRA http://www.ballaratdrags.com/forms/2005041...%20heathcote%22 Can some1 please provide some evidence, not hearsay. this one too http://www.fullboost.com.au/content/news/2...08_vdrc_01b.jpg
  13. Specialised already knows how to install an intake (He has had experiance the Crappy Egg Smelly system before). He just doesn't know if the AEM will fit a '05.
  14. I couldnt find it on their website. I thought ANDRA was one of those associations you had to pay a membership to be a part of it. Its not like an official regulator. They have no 1/4 mile tracks in VIC and you'd think Calder would be in there if ANDRA actually meant anything. As far as I understand ANDRA hire out heatcote for their drag racing sanctioned meetings, but the track is not actually sanctioned as in banned. This is what I came up woth so far: http://www.fullboost.com.au/news.php?newsId=1076 http://www.ballaratdrags.com/forms/2005041...%20heathcote%22 http://www.dragster.com.au/modules/newbb/v...50c9208afdc555b http://www.dragster.com.au/modules/newbb/v...1b18d59229e9407 Please prove me wrong I really want to get to the bottom of this. It would just be nice to have some truth and evidence.
  15. Heathcote is a long track with plenty of braking room (I believe it has a much longer overall length than Calder) Why would they make it shorter? I'm not so sure of the downhill gradient, but to the eye it looks very flat. Who is the source of this information?
  16. Hey did you photoshop yourself out of the oh what a feeling photo. My mate took a photo on his phone with your hands in your pocket jumping. I'll email it to you.
  17. Hey I wouldnt mind this Muffler. Can they make it into an axle back bolt on, so when I take my car back to get serviced, I can take it off and put the stock back on. You never know when Toyota will fudge you up the **** with warranty, even though its only a muffler.
  18. Last week I did 630km on 47L, all peak hour driving with a bit of lift. 7.46L/100km.
  19. I think the problem with this group buy, everyone was expecting a cheap price cuz of the initial PM. I mean $245 was too cheap. Now no body wants to pay anymore. I think for future group buys, price shouldnt be discussed till some research has gone into it. So first thing, find out how much 5, 10 and 15 will cost with shipping/taxes, then see who is in. Also give prices in US dollars and OZ dollars on a specific date, i.e. 1 AEM CAI $300US ($8000AU on 09/09/09) etc
  20. Just ship each individually. Unliklely to attract GST and DUTY Tax. IF it does attract GST, I imagine it would be charged to the addressee, therefore we all just pay Gazoom the correct amount and then work out everything individually.
  21. Yeah I think it could be your driveway. I drove up it twice and then is started creaking, I tightened it a while back and now its fine.
