  1. very nice sir Dutchie. awesome work with the ECU. looks like a pretty decent power and overall performance gain.. can't wait to see what the headers + mid/centre pipes do to it!

I think I need to take a road trip down to SA to see this puppy in the flesh (along with the ZRE).. oh and yourself too rolleyes.gifwhistling.gif

  2. Damn thats some serious scrubbing.

haha yeah its not as bad as it looks. This is 9 months of driving. average 600kms a week for the past 9 months

Car may be getting a new paint job in the new year before a show. all depends on cash flow

matte grey with black roof. do it. do it NOW. #instantwinning

  3. haha yeah that's how i was at first when i installed it. but with the catback its actually more noticeable even at lower RPM's with a nice growl, yet still quiet enough to drive to.. then at 3.5k+ RPM it roars. welcome to the twinloop gang buddy :D how much did the catback set you back? and what other components you have in the catback? reso? new highflow cat?

  4. eyelids + your headlights + Flush = sexy sportivo, want to trade azz haah

hehe I wish my angel eyes still worked.

Update! 2.5" catback with an xforce twinloop s10 muffler. Sounds really amazing.

nice work buddy - got a clip of that exhaust set up? Love the Xforce twinloop - Just redid my whole catback and kept the S10 on cos I love the exhaust note of it.

  5. Woah that sounds awesome. Hearing this in the basement must be even better... :toast:

Haha thanks man. Yeah it sounds beastly in the carpark at my apartment especially @ redline.

Awesome work Huey! Time to doing some rolling vids in a tunnel? :whistling:

hahaha sure thing bro - I'm down if you are :) btw did you happen to hear the zorst when u spotted me? don't think I would have been going too fast though down Swan St during peek hr. for u to really hear it..

Wonder if there's any point in dyno'ing this car lol.. (it is auto).

:g: i wanna dyno mine as well (jst to get stock figures before i start getting exhaust and stuff ^_^ ) msg me if you're interested :D

also nice subtle tone on the zorst ! :yahoo:

LOL let's go jeffy - we'll dyno sometime together :) O and thanks.. Subtle when driven "sensibly" but beastly when it's pushed hard (lawl)..

  6. poor guy probably waiting for the reply and already hydrolocked his engine :(

huey, not zre its the zze sportivo :)

anyways, for the zze there isnt a worry to get water onto the pod. even if it does, a splash here and there wont do any damage, unless u r stupid enough to drive it through a puddle which flows ABOVE the fog light.

yeah I know it was the zze he was referring to (as mentioned in his post and going by his username lol), but what I meant is that regardless of zre/zze, that for the corolla I'm pretty sure the pod for the injen sits behind the bumper/in front of the wheel guards where teh foggies are.

  7. Hey guys, i purchased the injen intake CAI for my sportivo. Just wandering if anyone has ever had any problems with water entering the intake? should i be worried? the filter is behind the front bumper so it could easily come into contact with water???

Thats where all injen CAIs for the corolla have the pod sitting. Just tape up any gaps or holes around the area behind the front bumper and wheel guards and you'll be fine. Thats what I did with mine and no problems here with water, even when I was the car with high pressure hose.

  8. i like your shoes in the zorst vid :)

LOL shoes on the car or shoes on my feet? :P They're Nike RT1's.. hard to come by nowadays as they're quite limited ed'n. Got so pi55ed off when my cousin spilt coconut juice on them the other day -_- EDIT whoops just realised that I was actually rockin my low top converse all-stars in black leather haha.. one of my other clips i was rockin the RT1's ;)

Anyways.. here's a clip of the zorst, back and meaner than before. Still quiet enough to drive with no in-cabin drone (which I absolutely love), but no raspiness like before, and plenty more roar.. even on idle now she sounds meaner (prior to the defect). Not to mention, the performance seems to have increased too. I notice less acceleration lag and smoother acceleration too. The tachometer pin drops a lot faster than before, when releasing the acceleration pedal.. although i'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Wonder if there's any point in dyno'ing this car lol.. (it is auto).

Couldn't get a photo of the setup whilst it was still hoisted up (had to rush back to work) but the pipe work is sooo much better. Whole thing was painted black too except for the resonator and rear muffler..

This is going to be the last of my exhaust work for a while.. (until something breaks, that is).. I'm completely happy with the note, volume and overall performance.

  9. If it interests somebody

RHDJapan has from now on the Kakimoto Backboxes in their webshop ;)

    got a link? how's the pricing? :)

EDIT: just had a look myself.. not too bad on the pricing! ~AU625 via EMS Shipping (cheapest shipping method for this item)

If I buy this item , i´ll do this at RJDJapan.

For me it´s the cheapest Shop for the Kakimoto Exhaust , also the cheapest to get this item to Germany

I was going to buy it, but I decided to on spending $500 getting my exhaust piping redone; new centre resonator and stuck with my xforce s10 twinloop rear muffler :) only had that baby for a few months and still love the exhaust note from it.

  10. getting some more zorst work done... this is really a lot of hit 'n miss..

getting 2" piping, removing that crap muffler they put on to clear my defect and adding a smaller stainless resonator towards the centre.

EDIT: zorst update done.. 2" aluminiumized steel piping painted black, from cat-back to rear muffler - kept the Xforce rear muffler on cos I love the note it produces. Also the stainless steel (304 grade) resonator at the centre is much better than the dodgy mild steel one they put in temporarily to clear my defect. doesn't sound as raspy any more and the lovely growl and deep tone of my exhaust is back. :)
