Well after receiving the CEL light about two days ago, it finally went away...

But I'm not entirely sure how this went away, as today on the Nov 20 Cruise, down to Marysville, all I was doing was pretty much high revving it the entire way through the pass... Hardly touched 4th gear...

Mind you I'm still running 91RON BP... Nothing has changed since I reset the ECU.

hey ivaz sorry to say but it'll come back, the infamous injen cai is getting to all of us lol. except models 2009 + or chipped like benyips

b.y. has the luxury of both.. facelift + chipped.

lets hope my injen doesn't bite me in the a$$ anytime soon with CEL.

okay so Xforce just got back to me and told me the RRP is $700? wow, they really are inconsistent with their information that they provide.

And all they told me in terms of specs is that it's going to be 2.5" stainless steal single cannon. fark, they need to provide more info, as mentioned by john above^

this time you can actually see the additional muffler that they added, which is just in front of the xforce s10 at the rear.

depends on how they are feeling and how much they want a promotion i guess the more money they make the more they look better and think of themselves as heros. i have nothing again police i have cousins and friend are police we need police but honnestly why they waste their time defecting cars for things like window tint when there are much better things that they should be doing... just my opinion i may be wrong but thats the way i see it..

Ah Knox, that area can be harsh on modded japanese cars, best to keep a low profile when in the area...

yeah i've learnt that the hard way... sigh. odd thing is, is that i drive around that area a fair bit on the weekends.. but it's only now that i've gotten "done" for anything...

Just make sure you don't paint the discs too! I've seen it done.

Btw what area did you cop the defect in? And as far as I know, LED parkers are legal as long as they are white, any other colour is illegal for the reason of being a distraction to other drivers, and red or blue parkers can also nab you a fine for impersonating an emergency vehicle. Unless the rules have changed, but then again some cops are not fully aware of ADR's and such, some are still using the 2" rule for aftermarket wheels.

And I agree: Dandy Exhausts is the biggest waste of time. Guy guaranteed me a single tip pea shooter muffler would clear my EPA test. After paying for the muffler, labour and test - Boom, failed. Ended up clearing it in Box Hill with a few 'additions'

yeah, thanks bud. least it's all cleared now. Yep.. bloody Pettett.. he tried to do me for 305$ + 3 demerit points when he gave me the option of 150$ + 3 demerit points OR 305$ + 0 demerit points.. so shifty I swear.. good thing I checked the infringement notice as soon as soon as I got back.

Haha well I'm not sure whether sunshine is closer to me or burwood.. both seem like a pretty decent drive out from southbank. yeah I'll know to drive like a granny around all unmarked HSV's from now on.

Thought soo yeh hwp here are crazy also and i swear they toyota are pack with turbos or some kind of super charge engine, i remember last time i drove on the highway at like around 11:30pm ish the police was just parking on the middle of the higywat between both ways then suddenly turn on light and REVVVVVV like insanely chasing me then realising he when passed me and was chasing some p plater ahead of me in some old import car i think it was a old skyline lollll..

Nah the botched job was the actual piping. the welding was done fine but the piping and the hangers were F'ed.. The rubber hanger they used for my xforce at the rear was almost gone.. any more longer and it would have snapped.. Also, they made the rear stick out too much so the guys actually fixed this up for me too for free (along with some new rubber hangers and washers.).. I advise anyone looking for good quality work to NEVER go to Dandy exhausts.. I went to The Muffler Man in Prahran.. great bloke with a long history of exhaust knowledge and very helpful advice.. going back to him next year for a full blown stainless catback.

Yeah I know man.. sigh.. fkn wrong place wrong time. I've driven past SO MANY COPS in my car since I got it started in the modding scene, but no cop has ever pulled me up for anything. Not even the rear P plates! Anyways, c'est la vie...

anyways... defects are cleared, stupid vicroads rep didnt even check the exhaust at all. just walked around my car checked my front tints and bam gave me the papers... she had already signed them off before I even got the car into the inspection bay... sigh.. all that effort for a 30 second look over the car..

lol man so annoying. well i went to the burwood one and it was pretty packed and raining too. the tinters who did my tints said not to go to the carlton one (which woulda been closer for me) cos they have the pits to test your whole car, and I read that a lot of ppl that go to burwood get their defects cleared easily. so glad that's over.. but now for the $305 fine.. sigh.. that coulda went towards my rear spats.

haha maybe ill scrap the racing tow hoook, just incase for now and see what happens later when i feel like having it installed on. but sorry for a noob question whats HWP stand for? lolll highway police? but yeh my fiancée dad was telling me about how strict on modding cars coz he doesnt like it when i mod my car, and telling me how NSW law are more strict than QLD espcially on P-platers etc, but yer~ i guess qld tend to target ppl with cars that are from import or older cars that has modification done outside and inside and yet they are P plates.

Yep - HWP - Highway Patrol.. complete tools.. seriously got nothing better to do than ding me for BS reasons... VIC police (mainly HWP) are getting way more strict on P Platers now.. and that really pisses me off, because when I'm driving on the road, it's mainly full licensed drivers I see that drive like twits.

Nah I actually took it to another place.. good thing I did cos the place I took it to showed me how bad of a job the place I originally got my work done at .. *cough cough* DANDY EXHAUSTS NEVER AGAIN *cough cough*.. the guy was really professional - been in the business for 35 years now and I will be sure to come back to him when it's time for me to get my custom stainless catback job done.
