  1. Conversion harness it is. Is boomslang the only place to get them from these days unless someone is selling it second hand?
  2. Hey guys, For those of you running pfc's or know about them. Is it ok to plug it in with the harness and start the car without a tune. Or is it necessary to just let the tuning company to do it all?
  3. Cleaning the ISCV (same thing as IACV) does make all the difference in the world. I had the same sort of problem and it was resolved with cleaning of this valve. Mine ended up being faulty and had to replace it but the clean did make it better for a period of time.
  4. Hey guys, For those of you with an Apexi Power FC are you running it as a stand alone ECU or as a piggy back? After talking to someone the other day i was told you can run them as a standalone and everything works fine but from my knowledge most people run them as a piggyback. Just curious as to what everyone has done/ the reasons behind piggybacking if it can work as a standalone? Sam
  5. I now have a Power FC but still chasing a harness as im not too keen on producing my own.
  6. Not too sure if this link will work as I'm on my phone. But check out this fb group https://m.facebook.com/?refsrc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2F&_rdr#!/groups/4476474348?ref=bookmark&__user=590276382 there has been two for sale in the past 2 months and I know a guy is pretty keen on selling his sometime soon. There are websites for brand new units such as monkey wrench but they are selling for $1200 new. Plus postage and then like previously stated you'll need a harness and a tune. There are harnesses on another website for $450 from the states but it to sure if they will work correctly for our cars. There is a guy on this forum that sent them a wiring diagram and they said it was the same. So he's just waiting for it to be posted and will test it out. All this information is for the power FC by the way. I should've mentioned that in the post sorry
  7. Haha yea. Would love a turbo car but insurance would be a bit insane at my age (20 going on 21). I just wanna have some fun with my corolla. It does have a bit of potential as a na and considering its a 1.8 amazing on fuel for the power. I will be keeping it until I finish uni and have secured a job in what I want. So possibly 2-3 years. Yea I realised the head has to come off but have been assured its something I could accomplish :p is there much that could go wrong in changing the valves and springs or just it's a big job? Is changing the oil pump a tough job? Cheers for the words of advice
  8. If you mean you need new floor mats then try http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&rt=nc&_nkw=Genuine+Floor+mats+corolla. Just be careful to select the right model. If you mean the actual carpet then I'm not to sure.
  9. I had an issue similar to this. Ended up being my ISCV. Wish it was just as simple as cleaning my MAF haha.
