  1. FARRR so many !!!

thanks guys ... for some reason i had the impressuon that everyone has a manual rolla .... n i felt so nigel !! hahHA

me .. i didnt do n e performance coz of my warranty n yeh im a bit paranoid about it ... buh i just made a nice connection with the service advisor so yeh he will help me out getting pass warranty...

i couldnt b bothered going all the way to castle hill .... i dont like long distant driving so yeh :P i know im lame buh hey ... im differnet haha

ive only done appearnace and yeh car is stock .. i just placed payment for TRD CAI das about it ... and yeh wanting to do a header to muffler system nxt yr when warrranty runs out :P kaka !!

buh with CAI .. what does it basically do ? like i know it brings in more air to the engine which i believe will gain a li lbit of power .. does it change the sound of the car ???

thanks for this guys .. IM NOT ALOOONNEEE WOOOOTTT

    anthony

LOL gw man :D. Firstly with the CAI, when you start your car up in the mornings it's going to make a 'hissing/suction' noise others have called it a 'vacuum like/hurricane' noise. When it has warmed up, it sounds awesome. You'll never want to take it off, more aggressive sound will be achieved.

Performance wise..er.. bit of a problem. lol. Most people have found including me that you tend to get more lag then usual down low (low rev ranges). Though you get a bit more gain in the higher rev ranges.

In the end it's upto you. I sacrificed laggy bottom end for the noise factor.

    Hope this helps :D

  2. hey guys got a 06 sedan, just wondering what shocks you have replaced your stock ones with? i have lowered springs. just wanted to know which ones you are using and their performance? thanks..

I've been riding on King super-lows for the last 20,000km's. I heard the Koni's are the way to go in term of shocks. I need a set soon anyway, don't want the stock shocks to die anytime soon.

  3. buy genuine!

generally aftermarket will have fitment issues that is just the way it was moulded. try brute force if you want to change the shape.

    genuine from toyota ???

Yes, Toyota does have a genuine SPORTS MESH GRILL, (Part Number: 0842312820). According to the Pacific Toyota Accessories list your looking at around $204 unpainted I am assuming.

The TRD Aero Grille is around that price range as well I think?

But you should definitely ring around. Prices do vary dramatically. Gary McMillan on High Street, Preston gave me some good prices.

  4. hahaha, im saving to lower me car :D , after that save up for phillips hidssssssss

Man your sedan is kikin ... i love it .. my grile and eyelids i can't wait for and those foggies look hot ... perfect for corolla if it wasn't for my cold air intake behind fog light s i would buy these straight away

did you go low or super low springs ?

did you say you were getting JDM taillights .... i want different tail lights but no one in australia has them for sedan ?

Thanks man :). As you can see with the grille its a bit off. But it does look much better. I went superlow's. The car jumps around way too much I think I need to invest in some shocks $$$.

Yeah tail lights would be awesome! Like kcorro's they look really unique (they are) there's also LED's available for our car. Maybe if you beg kcorro he will help you source that stuff.

  5. mate it was 100% bolt on as when he sold the sedan it was put onto a 1zz hatch...

well i would like to see cause i wasted $200 already and 3 exhaust shops say no ..

everything available for hatch ///nothing for sedan :(

the hatch is 200mm shorter maybe sportivo exhaust doesn't fit but the mounts under care i can 200 % tell you DO NOT match

see pic below .. quite a difference

they do not fit as the size is different i was upset beliving this forum that it would fit - sportivo hatch the smaller one

LOL, I purchased one off a member too.. GG

  6. Yeah, I purchased off kelvin5878 aswell. The eyelids fit nice and snug but the grille wouldn't fit in flush. the right side was abit more out. The grille fit 95% correctly.

Then I purchased the TRD Sport Aero Grille (off another member), the carbon fibre looking one, this was a 100% fit. But it does cost more than kelvin5878's grille.

  7. how many people here go to Deakin? I drive an ae82 twin cam hatch, only ever seen two sportivos there, silver one and a done up white one. I always park on level 3....

I go Deakin too man, I usually park wherever I can find something in the multi-story car park @ 10am lol.. it's usually chaos. I'll be sure to look out for your ride :D

  8. What about the custom charges issue?

Wasnt this a major issue when the bitracer (i think it was bitracer) that tried to organise an AEM CAI group buy from the states?

Tempted to join this GB however, i may be giving the car away to my younger bro later on this year......

Are there really any benefits installing a CAI on an auto?

Btw who can install these things for cheap??

I got an AEM in mine (auto), you get more delay and lag down low when u get this fitted, but it sounds and feels better in the higher revs. It's only worth it if your going to plant your foot down alot. It's not hard to install it, I took it to professionals who told me it wasn't made for my car. But I fitted it myself, the hard part is taking off and re attaching the front bar. But I think you could find a way through the mud-guard lining.
