  1. Just filled up Mobil 6000 on a near empty tank, light flashing and needle on the last level. Cost $60 for a full tank? WTF? $60 is meant to last me for a week, not so sure now. I'm getting less k's these days too. I think its cos' I thrash the car more to hear the CAI :(. I'm also up for my 50,000km service.

  2. Before u rev. put in N first (with left foot on the brake) > blip the throttle and u'll feel the brake pedal sink deeper

Put back in D or 2, and you'll feel the brakes hold the car at higher revs. Wouldn't do this at every intersection tho, as u'll soon need a new box. ;) and dont hold the revs for more than 3 secs either.

PS. theres been a few topics on this already. do a search

I asked this question awhile ago, and this is the best possible way to take off in an auto. Can't get much better than holding breaks and revving to 3k rpm, then letting go of the brakes. LOL Manual still pwns us! I bet a Honda Jazz (vt-i, the 1.5litre ones) like this once rofl he was manual too. Corolla's ain't that granny car man haha

  3. Does everyone else feel pains/aching in the stomach and balls when they see pictures like this or is it just me?

You got out unscathed, looks like you are due to give charity or make a donation @ my place of worship. I know I would.

S15's are awesome, I heard workshops didn't import these because they were released in Aus? For that money, you could buy one from here anyway yeah?

If you were in Melbourne I'd say go to http://www.rawimports.com/ they brought over my 180sx and was the first through that workshop. Cost me 13.5k for a '97 180sx Type-X on 90,000km's including compliance. Look anywhere else these sell for 16k+

    Be safe brother!

  4. Group:

    Protek Performance (Preston) - $40

Kamakazi Motor Sport (Blackburn) - $45

    NT Performance (Footscray) - $40 incl Lunch :D !!

    Dyno runs - 2/3

Printouts - Max KW, HP, Air fuel Ratio + constructive feedback from the dude/dudet and a free peerve (i.e. NT Performance Grrr grrr purrr purrr)

    1zzfe's will put out between: 75kw --- 90kw.. ... ..

    Stivo's (aka lifta-matrons) will put out between 95kw --- 120kw+

    always varaialbe due to:

    - Service (oils etc)

    - CAI

    - Rice bits (hehehe)

    - Other go fast bits (clutches, pipes, dry ice... ..)

    - Weather (heat soak etc.)

    - Dyno calibrations (always good to do in groups/back to back as individual dynos are pretty much useless)

    - Fuel (Boosters...)

    - Running in period since last ECU resest*

Can dyno's offer better tuning for our cars? Or is that a different cost all together?

  5. The smoked rear tail lights are hot!

That would make the Goose look heaps cool :toast:

Except. In Vic (dunno about QLD) it's heaps defectable

...DIY Smoking i reckon is the way to go!! :toast:

15 bux tint spray can @ autobarn - and then cut sick at anything tintable :D

Where is Kaze Stivo these days?? ... He had a pic of rear eyelids b4 :help:

I dunno bout DIY man, I've seen some really good ones and a lot of really bad jobs! I'm still thinking if it's worth attempting the DIY Black Headlight Surround Mod. Not many panel beaters will touch this job either.. JDM ones cost $400~ a set.

  6. ewwwwwwwwwwwww i second that...sti = peugot .................and the evo looks like a commodore yuk yuk

u must be blind! dont ruin the evo's name by comparing it to a commonwhore!!!

Evo IX is love. absolutely perfect car.

cept for the crummy interior (barring the recaro's which are perfect)

so nice to drive, almost effortless to go fast.

turning circle... well... lets just say its similar to the QE2

Absolutely right, Evo's are the perfect sport sedan! Why do you think the Japanese workshops turn these things into brutal monsters on the circuit? Have you seen the HKS CT230R Evo?

I haven't been lucky enough to get behind the wheel of one, but have been in the passenger seat of a GSR, and an Evo 9 and I can't compare the sheer power to anything else I have been in.

Light chassis weight, nimble handling, a super-responsive boost riddled engine and grip like your driving on rails!

Best of all the amount of coin you spend on an Evo. You're getting amazing levels of performance. Sure they're a little cheap on the inside. But you're not buying a luxury cruiser are you? Crappy dash plastics, uninhabitable rear seat, basic options and a fundamental lack of noise, vibration and harhness (NVH) refinements.

Can you tell I <3 EVOS? lol

  7. Today, I made lunch. This is about as gourmet as I get. How about you - what interesting creation have you eaten?

    med_gallery_3415_346_25983.jpg

ROFL@ whole non peeled boiled potato

  8. Looks like you may just need to get a new rear bar and possibly rear tail light. It all depends on your excess I guess man. To fix your car it would cost $250 for front bar, painted and fitted another $150+ a tail light, a set cost's about $269 so, if you can buy one? 135? Also your boot and everything. I

f your excess is more then that's not worth it imo. I hit the left side of my front bar, cracking it and the fog light area. The headlight reinforcement snapped, so it sat a bit out. Also mud guard lining and under lining of my car got ripped off and shredded.

Dad calculated it @ about $600-$800 worth of damage. Excess under my name is almost that much.. So I left it.

Don't really trust the guy to get it fixed, but if he's willing to buy you a new rear bar, tail light and fit it and fix your boot, perfect condition I'd do it. But if it's a half assed masking job, let your insurance deal with it.

  9. 9/11 2001, 9+11+2+1= 23, JFK was killed on November 22, 1963 2+2=4 and 1+9+6+3=19 and 19+4= 23, Caesar was stabbed 23 times etc. Freaky huh?

Before watching this movie I watched the trailers did the research and found Joel Schumacher's Number 23 should be interesting. This guys good at thrillers (Falling Down and Phone Booth). Here he delivers again.

I've seen this movie a couple weeks ago. First Impressions? yeah I thought he was going to crack a joke any time now. But when you start following Jim Carey (Walter), you know this isn't the case. 5 minutes into the movie you realise this isn't Jim Carey from 'Liar Liar.'

It's weird how with every serious performance by Carey, critics scrutinise his performance because it isn't comedy? Watching the likes of 'Truman Show' and 'Sunshine' I beg to differ, this man can act. The only problem here is that the plot isn't that strong. You may find the twist a little anticlimactic.

Still it's a very enjoyable film, and will have you looking for the number 23 when leaving the cinema for sure. I made a bit of a joke about it with my girlfriend for a week, connecting everything with 23. "OMG! my birthday is on the 9/11/86 9x11-86=13!!??+10 = 23!!??" lol

  10. I think the only movie that is ever going to be accurate to that of a game will be Warcraft. The only reason that is, is because Blizzard are very smart at 'selling' their ideas. They essentially turned down every single offer from movie companies until one agreed to let them do whatever they wanted to do. Blizzard have free reign.

Id Software were backed into a corner and told 'you do this or no movie for you' and they folded lol. Half the reason why Doom was so stupid.

Speaking of which have you guys/gals seen this?

Note: Following link is an adult movie series website, if you are under 18 years of age do not enter.

What is it with you always stepping over the line man? hahahahahaha

HAHA sif man when do I step over the line? I know you love it don't deny it!
