    www.c-one.co.jp

i'm still waiting for 2 more weeks and i can pay for it :D

Only problem with this bar is its very expensive (approx. 1200AUS without paint), and you usually have to wait a minimum of 2months before u can get it (since they are usually made on the spot and shipped from Japan)

Reason to it being so expensive cos its not fibreglass (it better not be otherwise im throwing it back to Japan)

the whole c-one kit is fibreglass :(

ew are you serious? i might not buy it no more <_<

does anyone have the c-one facelift front bar? if it doesnt fit 100% then i dont want it lol i mean $1300 for a fibreglass frontbar? i dont care if it is JDM i aint gna spend that much (unless it fits 100% no GAPS no HASSLEhoff)

i mean i'd rather go to carmate and pay $300 - put up with their crap service, and mod the kit my self to make it fit.

as for the first kit i saw it the other day driving to work (was a black corolla) and even in real life it's ugly. from the side it looks like a right handed triangle :P

look, it's machined fibreglass so it's going to be as good as it gets. C-one isn't your back yard kit maker, they specifically made it to fit the car. It will fit 100%. You can't compare it to crappy 'car-mate' stuff. It ain't going to fit properly for sure. I was seriously thinking about going that way too. $3k delivered front lip, side-skirts, rear lip and spoiler. Lucky i snapped out of that wierd state of mind i was in.

    My eyes hurt

Please don't deface the Corolla like that. You'll be laughed at behind your back. Seriously.

Yeah, that went through my mind too. I laugh at all these lancer's with the droid body kits, and wacked out looking spoilers. When I think about it, am I slowly becoming one of them?

hey guys.. now when i think abt it it does look um yeahh.. what eva u guys said.. lols

the c-one one is nice.. but way too expensive to my budget.. i need the supercharger to.

    im looking toward this kit...

its not too over done right? im no getting the whole kit.. just the front and ignore the stickers etc..

You need an intercooler for that front bar :D. Just pull your radiator down? Or rip one out of an older car and stick it in there? lol no one will be the wiser. It wont look nice with that all meshed off, well i think anyway.

  3. There are also the BMC panels. Good filters.

I had one for 20,000km without problems :)

oil filters are not the greatest as the suction from the engine is capable of sucking some of the oil into the engine. He highly recommended a dry filter.

With the dry filters it's possible that the dirty isn't filtered very well, and it's not good for engine.

My friend went BMC aswell, said he felt better acceleration. But I don't believe it, sometimes when you spend money on something you tend to make yourself believe it's better when it really doesn't make a difference. Thinks he has 6-7kw more now, more like the guy at Autobarn talking crap.

  4. Wait it out guys. Untill Vista is fully operational and most people have upgraded. It should be better to buy it then. Most people will probably have to upgrade they're rigs to run the resource hungry OS. I know I do lol.

  5. G.o.d. forbid, I should actually drag some car discussion into this thread....

Okay so a friend of a friend picked himself up a pre-facelift Stivo recently and he loves it. But naturally, the bug has bit and he wants advice to start squeezing more performance from the car. I want to give him a nice basic shopping list to get started with. Due to hours of trolling here on the sportivo owners club I knew a couple of things, but I thought I'd run it past you guyses first....

    AEM (or TRD?) CAI

CES catback zorst (what exactly is the reason that you don't use a cannon muffler?)

Wider rubber (or new rims entirely?)

    G4 coilovers?

Am I missing anything? Easy brake upgrades, other suspension bits, engine parts?

You don't use a cannon muffler on these things (on the street) because your head would explode eventually. It's just a straight muffler (if you can call it a muffler) and coupling that with a motor that revs to 8000rpm you would scare the sh!t out of yourself and the few blocks around you lol. Racing? Sure it's awesome. Specifially the Buddyclub spec III, as you actually gain a lil' bit of power with this guy, rather than lose power through cheap design. If you have balls like Brian, then do it lol. He was happy with the Buddyclub.

The stock sportivo muffler has a catch flap on it that engages when you hit 6,000rpm apparently. The CES muffler is an improved example of this.

Porting the stock headers could be something to do as well :D

The CAI, don't make much of a difference in performance, no point sweating over 1-3kw. Both the AEM (which i have) and TRD are very good. Makes the car more enjoyable to drive as it sounds way grunt-ier.

exhaust wise, a cannon muffler ain't going to do much other than make you sound like a 'lancer loser.' Not much power gain either. You have to go cat-back or a whole system to get the most power.

If your friend wants performance, best to stick with the original 16" stivo's or try find lighter rims. The 16" is the probably the best size to go for the stivo (performance wise).

I'm pretty sure this is what most people on the forum will tell you. As this is what I have learnt, so far.

  6. Both movies should be good! Reckon the Bourne Ultimatum will be a world-wide release? I forgot if the other two installments were. It might even leak onto the internet even earlier. But it's a movie you would save yourself for the big screen.

Guaranteed '28 Weeks Later' will be out on dvd on the internet before it even reaches our shores..

btw. What do you guys/gals think of 'The GrindHouse' and 'Sunshine'?

  7. what a coincidence.... i JUST came back from watching it... we went all the way to IMAX but the line was waaaaaaaaaaay too long so we headed back to hoyts merrylands :D

one of the BEST movies i've seen in a long long long while... imagine if it was in 3D too

can't remember any other quotes but i liked this quote...

"there no reason why we can't be civil"

    and this one...

Xerxes: Persia has much to offer Sparta. We could share much of our cultures with one another.

Spartan King Leonidas: Yes I know, we've been sharing our culture with Persia all morning.

WTF? You guys had 300 @ IMAX? We get all those gay doco's @ IMAX =(. I watched it 4 times in 3 days.

Wednesday 11.59pm session @ Hoyts Highpoint.

Thursday 9.10pm session @ Hoyts Broadmeadows.

    Friday @ my mates house.

I never got over the fighting scenes. Only got bored near the end the 2nd and 3rd time.

Freakin' awesome movie, I enjoyed 'Sin City' but loved 300, Frank Miller for President! haha

  8. Arn't VTEC's the better? In my opinion I get a better kick out of a VTEC than a VVTL-I (e.g. Sportivo vs. a Prelude VTI-R).

I think the S2000 is the best 4cylinder car at the moment, read that up somewhere..

  9. Unofficially:

If you name an actress, I can tell you which movie(s) they were naked or having sex in.

    Good at internet :D

    Officially:

Console Jockey @ Caltex, know anything related to fuel.

Studying Bachelor of Business Information Systems @ Deakin University

(Can apply most computer languages, databases and web-page development).

I am majoring in Accounting, so I can be a cool accountant (will help hide your monies) :D

  10. I smoke in my car too, so far i have a burn mark on the roof, near the drivers side window, where i nicked the ash while trying to ash out the window. Back corolla mat got burnt from a lit butt. Also theres ash all over the car and it doesn't smell new anymore..

I banned smoking in the car 2 times.. always seem to have 'one last one.'
