Well, I couldn't wait until the weekend, so when I got home from work last night I decided to install said mystery item. Only took me an hour but by the time I finished it was pretty dark so photos aren't great..
Spot the difference
Before
After

Installed my TRD 3-point strut brace (well, actually did it last night after work, in the dark, in my driveway, which explains the crappy photos)
Engine-bay went from this
to this

Nah, this thing will never see a turbo (maybe a supercharger though)
-
A present arrived in the mail today...I wonder what it might be...
-
If you want a good sound comparison, my rear muffler is a Lukey Ultraflow....

I've been probably 4 of the last 5 years (being a financial member of Toymods afterall), always a great day out with a massive turnout (usually ~100 cars enter of all shapes, sizes and conditions)

Traditionally just rock up on the day but there have been forms you could download and pre-fill in the past, saves a heap of time and stress for the organisers on the day.

5x100 hubs will be even more useless than 4x100. There are stuff all wheels out there that fit.
And most of what is out there is in retarted Subaru +1million offset...
-
Excellent, another Novocastrian.....pity I don't have a 4x4:P
-
I'll almost certainly be there, probably just with the 102 though
-
Did you buy it from out of state? Not sure why it would require a blue slip unless it was several months out of rego or from out of state...

Location for Toyotafest has now been set, it has moved to Totally Home Bella Vista

The spoiler risers were from the Sportivo, although there might be aftermarket ones out there as I've seen a few get sold second-hand, more than the number of Sportivos that would have been written off or had aftermarket spoilers (there only was 110 of them afterall).

Assuming the ECU can back it up....I wouldn't be surprised if it applied to all 2GRs, but at the same time I also wouldn't be surprised if it didn't for some models (ie Tarago, Rav4 etc)

True, is it still a 1/2 wire O2 sensor on the 112s or did they switch to a heated one?
-
Yes you can, provided you use the AE102 wiring harness loom. Get rid of the exhaust manifold of the AE112 and use the AE102. Pls also check that the sensor connectors of the wiring loom will fit the sensors connector on the AE112 engine. The distributor connectors countercheck also if the y will fit.
Why get rid of the exhaust? The factory AE112 exhaust is way better than the AE102 (extractors straight from factory rather than a cast-iron manifold for one).
Don't quote me on this, but the computers _should_ be swappable, the later engine doesn't have any extra sensors or the like (plugs may be slightly different), but the tune may be different (there are slightly different power/torque figures for the AE112 compared to the AE102, some of that will be down to the exhaust but some would be in the ECU).
If you just swap in the long motor and re-use all the AE102 sensors and wiring then I can't see it being too much of a drama.

Some shots from the TOCAU Kiama cruise on the weekend

Some of my photos from the day - my car wasn't low enough or ZRE-enough for a personal shoot :P
-
I guess it depends which model camry your refering too really. lol
Well only one can be the most boring :P
-
Taxis are the most boring ont he road.
Many of which are Camry, Aurion or Prius based.
Reliable but boring vehicles.
Down here they're still predominantly Falcons and Commodores.....but the odd Prius and Camry are appearing

Thoroughly enjoyed the day, 330km round trip for me, not bad..
660km for me, but I knocked off ~150km of that the night before so it wasn't too bad. :P

Not yet, haven't taken it for a hard drive but not really expecting any noticeable improvement over the Levin brace, this was more for bling :D
Just take whichever one comes out cheapest....I'm in no rush to sell mine
