  2. Hi All, I am planning to go to Central Australia in July 2015. I would like to vist Rainbow Valley and Chambers Pillar. It is recommended to have 4 WD vehicle to access. Has anyone gone to these two places with their AWD Kluger. Thaks John
  3. Hi All, Seeking others opinions. When towing my caravan I sometimes downshift from 4th gear to 3rd gear manually to assist in slowing the car/caravan down before stopping. I have been told that this is not recommended as the auto trans can be damaged. anyone have any knowledge on this. Thanks John

  5. sorry about the last post, You can get the oil from http://www.gllubricants.com/ If not towing you can probably use 5W-30
  6. Hi, I asked this question to Mobil technical service as I was towing a van. They suggested mobil 1 0w-40 was their best full synthetic oil for the kluger. I have used it for past 3 years. You can get it at a good price online from http://www.gllubricants.com/. You could probably use 5w-30 if not towing.
  7. Oops sorry I meant Watts not Amps John
  8. Does anyone know what amp the 12v accessory cig is in the kluger?. I want to charge an Ark Power Pack and it states. "Insert large car charger plug into 12V accessory port in your vehicle cabin or rear luggage area. The accessory port must be rated at 120W or higher." Thanks John

    RODENT TROUBLE

Hi David, A few years back I hit a flock of birds near Alice Springs driving a Tarago. The front was damaged. When I checked with my insurance company I was told my no claim bonus loss would amount to about 10% of my premium. About $60. Of course I had to pay the initial $400 of the claim, but it was still cheaper going through insurance. I would suggest calling your insurance first. John
  14. Hi, When the cover was removed from another Kluger there was a part number on it, but they could not locate it on the computer. Its not that I think they were lying but more frustration that I was repeatedly told the part did not exist when I knew it did. They could have just checked another Kluger, they have several in the yard. It could be as simple as a computer error, however to their credit they did replace it so all is good. John
