  1. Hi Oms, The price you got for your 12 mths Grande was great with low kms. There are probably more pros in buying a brand new car but on the other hand if you do your research and found the right used car with servicing history and low kms I guess its all worth it! Not to mention, the devaluation on brand new car seconds after you driven it out! I bought my 2010 GrandeFWD 12mths ago with 44,000kms and to date it has been a robust transport machine. Overtaking in highways is a breeze and very comfortable to be in. We are off to Gold Coast next months and travelling with my Kluger. Very much looking forward to it!
  2. Same here mate! 40 PSI on all tyres = fuel economy and smooth handling...
  3. To date my 2010FWD has not develop this whining issues (knock on wood!) and has done 65,000kms. Hopefully it will not come about otherwise I would not hesistate disposing it! Always a Toyota buyer because of known reliability and quality....
  4. Cheers Matt! Helpful resolution to the woes which Toyota overlooked! Great work!
  5. I have a 2010 Grande and so far no issue to date with rear automatic door. I do not have an answer other than contact your Toyota dealer for an advise. Cheers!
  6. Hello Gents, Your input is appreciated and apologies if my question has caused some intense dialogue amongst some. However, I sincerely do hope after this we all remain civil and peace amongst us prevails :D My opinion is all input does have merits but the oustanding advise for me is using premium oil in all cases as this will minimise/prevent the sludge build up as shown in Youtube provided by Rice Racing. Cheers once again my friends!
  7. Does using an engine flush prior to change oil delivers a benefit? Reduce or eliminate oil sludge? Any input is appreciated. ^_^
  8. Will changing the factory wheels on Kluger to aftermarket affect car speed? I heard by doing so will result to inaccurate reading of speedo?
  9. How easy or difficult to change a fuel filter? An instruction from anyone with automotive qualification would be nice? Cheers!
  10. I have a friend who used to work for Toyota as a mechanic. Yes, what Rice Racing said here is true. Newbie mechanics were insensitive to the car owners when servicing their cars, i.e. careless attitude. He had seen some inappropriate practices in the workshop but fortunately he was the opposite! I service my other car being a Corolla like changing oil and filter and other maintenance I can do. With this car, I will let the dealer touch it if its a major work in which you require special tools and skills. So far spent $740 to replace a leaking water pump, fuel filter, new coolant and wheel balancing. My kluger is now out of warranty and may attempt to service the basic maintenance from now on..
  11. Hi Peter, sounds like you are an expert when it comes to servicing cars. How hard is it to change the oil and filter of Kluger? Do you need special tools for these?
  12. Cheers for input Wil! Based on your comments, hybrids are still perceived to be costly to run especially the battery! I think it really comes down to personal preferences especially if you never own a hybrid before....
  13. Hi David, I spoke to the finance manager and what dissapoints me the most was the commitment he made on the day when he said `by this afternoon; you will have the information'. Mind you up until now, no email! Like most of the comments about this topic, it's not Toyota but the person representing them. Am I expecting too much?? I guess it's the basic human ethics what counts here.....
  14. My understanding is fuel filter must be changed every 80,000kms or 100,000kms to maximise fuel economy and due to some build up of particles over time. Is it necessary to change it even if you are using 98 octane fuel like BP Ultimate regularly?
  15. Recently made an enquiry with a dealer finance manager for a new quote for a new Kluger, ie, structure a loan repayment to suit my budget. I have requested to provide a quote for KXR, KXS and Grande (all 2WD) and would commit in purchasing if he had shown an interest in my request, I was promised this information will be provided on the last weekend (sent an email last Friday) and to date NO REPLY. Mind you, I bought my Kluger from the same dealer and you would think you will get a priority or at least a prompt service. I guess they have lost my business now..... Anyone else experienced a bad service from a Toyota Dealer???
  16. Phoned my local dealer recently and I was quoted $800 (GST incl) for my 2010 Grande.
  17. Hi Matt, I would also like to know the answer to your question as I own 2010 Grande.
  18. Thanks for the reply guys...appreciated your input....it would be great if Kluger hybrid will be available in OZ...and Im sure when it does it won't be cheap....
  19. Hi All, In the US Kluger is available as hybrid. I wonder if this will be available in Australia or any inside information would be pleasing to know... ^_^
  20. Hi All, Im new in the forum and here is my question. I would like to upgrade my GPS software (2010 Kluger Grande) and would like to know where you can purchase an alternative over the Toyota software ( $350 to upgrade!) but yet reliable enough to serve its purpose. Or its advisable to purchase from Toyota? Thank you.
  21. Hi All, just registered as I found this forum so helpful and informative since I own a Kluger.
