if its a movie that wasnt a cartoon./game and so on then theres never any expectations but when youve watched or played somthing a million times you always expect it to be slightly similar. no offence but streetfighter was possibly the worst movie ever made. ill agree about the first person part of doom that was well done. but im already having issues with the transformers movie as i watched the preview the other day i noticed that optimus prime wasnt even the same type of truck as he is in the cartoon.

all i can say is with all these remakes and movies based on games and cartoons im praying that they dont **** up transormers ive been hanging for em to make a movie for years lets hope its all worth it and they dont ruin one of my fav things from when i was a kid. so many cartoons and games that end up movies are nothing like they should be. he-man (ruined) tmnt (ruined) except first 2 initial d (ruined) sort of lol scooby doo (ruined) flinstones (ruined) fist of the north star (ruined) street fighter (ruined) except for the animated movie by manga double dragon (ruined) avp (ruined) doom (ruined) plenty more to add but these ones off the top of my head stood out as failures.
  8. i dont know about the camry but i had gear drives installed on my old panelvan and everywhere i went people asked if it was supercharged from the excellent sound they give off. but gear drives arnt cheap
  9. ive had personalised plates and never had any dramas with them. i mean the cars never been broken into and no ones stalked me after i cut em off or anyhing. mine arnt my initials not about my car. at the end of the day i dont care either way if someone likes or dislikes my plates its upto me. all this talk of certain plates should be banned is a joke. who cares its a licence plate. ( not having a go at anyone just my personal opinion) :D
  10. this is what iam worry about, so u had the ecu recall done, and its still not making the power it should? could it be that the first ecu recall u had was fake and they didnt actually put the new ecu in and try to save money, because just seems strange that they put new ecu in mine and still have the old ecu's data on it....the first day i got my car back i did feel there was more power, but now its not much different to b4 well funnily enough after the first time they reckoned they did the recall i spoke to a few guys here and was told that id have the recall sticker on the inside drivers door. which i didnt have so i told toyota this and when the ecu was replaced properly the sticker was added.dont know if ya right and toyota were trying to be shifty but if anyones had there car serviced by toyota they know that they try to do as little as possible. my first service cost nearly $200 and straight afterwood i took it to my own mechanic and he said they basicly did nothing didnt even fill my wiper fluid lol how petty.
  11. i had this problem early doors when i first got my car. took it back to toota and they managed to fix it. however not long after that i had my car dyno'd at a melb meet dyno day. anyway i had the slowest sportivo on the day and didnt break the 98kw output when nearly all where over. anyway i cracked it and took it to toyota and explained that it wasnt putting out what it should be even though it had previously had the recall done. toyota tried to tell my that the car wasnt meant to be pushed to its limits and rev"d out. once i told them it wasnt from the way i drove it and that it was professionally dyno'd with a heap of other sportivos and when i told em what kw mine was putting out and what the average for most of the stivos on the day were putting out. they agreed to look at it properly and see what the issue was. anyway they came to the conclusion that the ecu was faulty(they think?) and they replaced it free of charge. i dont think they knew what was wrong at all and just replaced the ecu to see what would happen. since it was replaced the car seems more responsive revs out properly and seems to have more power than it did prior. however i havnt had it dyno'd since to make sure. what im getting at is keep putting pressure on toyota and explain about others who have had these problems and what was done to fix em. sooner or later they will buckle and fix it properly. toyota are just slack........
  12. Yeah but in the short run you pay less for a pre-facelift anyways. Corollas are great that's why we have so many proud owners here, join the club :D not try to argue :D , but u pay little more now, and sell for a bit more, so at the end of it its not much difference, so if u have the extra cash, i'd say get the facelift :) , also when u test drive, try driving it to 8000rpm and shift to second gear see if its easily done, or it wont let u into second gear, if it wont let u into 2nd, that mean he havent done the clutch adjustmen or he didnt do it right, if it doesnt have warranty any more, maybe u can bargain him on this point, even though it will only cost u 60bucks to adjust it, make it sound its a real hussle of course ya gonna pay more for the fazcelift and its gonna hold its value better because its a newer model. it comes down to what each person wants. i love the look of the facelift models but ya cant chop and change grills and stuff like the the pre facelift. also ya paying extra just for a different front bumber basicly.
