Sold Sold Sold

hmm they were somewhere between 2.4~3k lol. For those offsets, I was sold ++
7th set of wheels >.< =p , could be worse? heh.
-
meanwhile..
back in Dec 11' I picked up a set of these:
18x9 +37 f, 18x10 +37 r
For all the reasons I had at the time, none make more sense than the fact that I was just a soft kent and didn't realize how much I loved those wheels...
Kept an eye out all this time, never quite found the set I liked. Enkeis are nice don't get me wrong - but something about step lip had me captivated.
So I couldn't resist these >.<
18x8.5 +23, 18x9.5 +23
Ain't nobody got time for replicas babeh <3
Manual project delayed for a little while, collecting parts for an overhaul
Did you know a brand new OEM crankshaft via UAE Amayama is $614!? and pistons are $32 each lol... not that I'll be ordering them, will wait to open up mine first then assess.
That dream of mint engine bay and engine ++

Was aware of the advisory sticker :) - just wasn't sure you placed the new sticker hehe.
Yeah would be a good idea to get history check - thankfully I got mine with the papers
-
-
hold up - so you already have a sticker in the engine bay that says 100k service is done??
think you might have to look up -> https://www.facebook.com/pages/Japanese-History-Check/557835010998928
not a bad idea to work out what mileage it left with from Japan

Shampooed the seats:
Before:
.
After:
and with flash - not 100% but 90% will do for now
**** I extracted:
so...
weight of standard one - Bride weighs 9kg
now for some better res:
[/url
Waiting on cross rails for passenger side then fit that in
Pros:
- Much tighter fit now
- No more being thrown around in the seat
- The red actually goes alright with the rest of the interior
- JDM points ?
- Sits lower than the standard ones (gotta get used to it)
Cons:
- the little clip over the bolts don't fit now
- airbag light is on lol
- the cable from the belt buckle is just hanging there (well I ziptied it up)
- Daresay it's comfy over a long journey ride
Took me about an hour with the tidying up and swapping the belt buckle over to the bucket seat, I'm happy with them

I don't mean to hate or start a **** storm man but you could clean up the wheels, post the four of them up and it would help with the sale :)

ah - from New Zealand - I LOVE YOUR North Shore Toyota guys..
Got my new r154 from NZ to my door step in 2 days (suck on that local Toyota)
Welcome to the forum and yeah avoid being ripped off locally :)

'Mr JZX' or sometimes 'The Chaser'

Dare say you're going to find someone working @ Toyota here looking to divulge that info at this stage.
What you can be sure of though - possibly lesser strict rules on importing, hopefully let newer age imports easily complied and might even get rid of the stupid ADR set of standards ...
I think it's a win win for the consumer and that their hard earnt is going to be used on better cars ... (inbe4flames)

That's a very broad question Daneil and the two cars you've mentioned are fairly different in the kind of driving experience they offer.
My questions would be:
1) Are you restricted by any license requirements? (on your P1 or P2?)
2) Is there any specific car you've always loved growing up? (ok not like a Pagani Zonda or anything but something you hoped to buy?)
3) Are you looking to get into the car mods hobby or are you simply after something that's well setup as is and you just maintain it?
4) What exactly would you hope the car to offer? straight line speed? like to go around twisty roads, bends etc?
5) How cluey are you with your cars (not being sarcastic or taking a stab here, legit question)
And any other info you can put up.
It's kinda like asking if you should buy a computer setup for gaming or simply surfing the web (loose example) but hopefully you get what I mean.
There are a number of good buys to be had with a 10k budget.

Yes yes I'm aware some of you leete haxors have EPC and what not - but for the majority of people who just want to get their part numbers without being dic*ed around.
follow the link below and enjoy the freedom to browse diagrams :)

well this happened then
me: man will that HKS LA clutch be fine with the used box? or go for rebuild on the box?
mate: rebuild will cost as much as a box, so better off with a new box to begin with..
me: hmm valid point.
Goes to whatsapp group:
me:
fellas, thinking of a new box, given the costs for rebuild and not being 100% with the quality of rebuild (since mate has had 2 rebuilds done..)fellas: hey Nick has a clearance going on at the moment for R154s..
me: shiet really!?..
Goes to send Nick an email:
me: mate what's this deal with R154 clearance??
Nick: why yes indeed, JZX100 R154 box $2500nz, JZX110 R154 box $2400
me: hmm any differences
Nick: http://minkara.carview.co.jp/en/userid/133203/car/29356/32313/note.aspx << here are differences
