  1. I know alot of you going to think, well what's the point of posting this up - not like we can afford one,
let alone even buy one - I wanted to still put this up as I personally cannot get enough of this car..

First time I saw the prototype in person back @ Tokyo Autosalon in January 09'

I've followed the development of this car (why? you can't afford it, you'll never be able to afford it, hur dur internet warrior spam.gif.. STFU) I enjoy cars and seeing their development.

Naturally, soon as I found out there were a couple coming to Brisbane..

  2. Hi Dave,

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your Estima. I got one for my old man a little while back and they're brilliant for the use they provide :) - as for the towbar, while I don't have personal experience but being essentially a Tarago, you can call any place that offers towbars and request a Tarago towbar quote $$ ..

Try that and see how it goes, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

  3. Kappa wheels will do :) - til you get over them ofcourse.

You could always replace the factory panel filter to a k&n one. Hid lights or Philips crystal vision to change the yellowish headlamps.

I'm guessing here but this is your daily driver ? do up the audio =D

  4. And today it got a set of new rear tires - 245/40s Falken Ze912s. Quiet tires, plenty of grip - no testing in wet conditions yet and car feels lighter to drive.

The pics are deceiving, obviously the phone camera doesn't show you the fine dust particles.. but I gave it a good wash and now its all clean and parked smile.png

While I accept there is a 2% difference in the rolling diameter front/rear. ABS is fine and no dramas in driving. I'm a fool for not having listened to the OG JZX owners sooner, in going 225/40 upfront - makes heaps difference !

Jesse package will be here in a weeks time. That was the red stitched steering wheel, c/f look rear number plate surround and c/f look cluster surround.
I'm feeling the boot might be lacking a lil something so next will be a c/f bootlip (this should be real c/f - Jesse will hook me up as usual)

A forum member will be helping me change my vvti solenoid. Fk I love JZX forums in that aspect, community spirit +++

Thanks to a prominent JZX forum member I got some more pointers for maintenance bits to replace.. So that resulted in the following order:

    bits_zpsc0341c03.jpg

You'll notice I got myself a new badge for the grill, it's been looking odd without it. The other plastic bit is a new panel for the drivers side power window panel (yes they're plastic.. with carbon look lol..)

I've come to the conclusion I don't like the amp fuse bolted on the battery holder arm.. so got a replacement to relocate amp fuse .. can you believe a mere $4.71 for new radiator top brackets fwoar !!

Sometimes, no joke - I'll look back at the part descriptions and be like huh wtf was that part.. but it makes sense once they arrive.

Next update once I get the new parts.

  5. My good mate who owns Keith 4 Wheels was kind enough to go pick up the car from alignment. Brought it over to his and fitted me a set of 225/40s

So today's mission successful! Next will be respraying the wheels, inside/out costs $400~450 inc removing gutter rash/imperfections.

I can't recommend the Fortune 500s enough ... the Aurion Sportivo felt bumpier than the Chaser lol..

  6. Had an Aurion given while my Civic is getting a detail @ the dealership I got it.

If you're in Brisbane, this ^^ place is the ONLY place you should take your car for alignment and setting up. He's a top no bull**** bloke. How does he ensure his work is always quality? simple - he works by himself, just doesn't trust others to do as good a job he does.. also be polite, he's got enough work as is.. no need to rush him. Thanks to Mr JP for advising about this place.

I'll be putting on 225/40 tires within a week.
