  2. I have fitted a front camera into the Toyota emblem. I powered it from a wire connected to the back of the 12v (cigarette lighter) socket and then via a switch and a fuse to the front camera and a screen located on the LH side of the dashboard. It worked well till I started the car. The Engine Malfunction and the Slip Indictor warning lights stayed on as I drove the car. I removed the fuse from the power cable from the 12v socket to the camera and the problem went away. My question. Where can I “safely get power” for the camera that is switched on and off from the ignition circuit? PS. The camera fits into the front Toyota emblem and is hard to see at a casual glance.
