I think too much credit is given to the American people generally speaking.
Obama won over McCain because he is a much more charismatic speaker. Their respective policies did not differ that much.
I consider many (read: not all) people in the US to be quite superficial, and are very concerned about how they are viewed by the international community.
please note though: as far as the Obama vs McCain debate goes - I don't really care. I've always considered elections to be a selection of the lesser of two evils.
Sounds like an election that was held closer to home, hmm?

No I haven't, but then again I live in Kalgoorlie.

It will set you back something just short of $1000, unless you DIY. I'm selling a DIY kit for $200, if you're game.

... and everyone at work just saw that given my maniacal laughter. The general consensus is: umm, brah, no.
Finishing off yet another immature moment.

One from me:
You can't have all your conversations at once.

Settle down. Your comments may be construed as being inflammatory, not to mention ironic.
You ask for people not to criticise your suggestions by criticising someone elses comments.
The topic on sucking water into the engine has been discussed at length in other threads. Your thread is excellent for people to get thinking about mods they may wish to perform, and how to go about them.
For the records, I have the crappy autobarn pvc pipe sticking out of my '05 airbox, and i have noticed a slight increase in fuel efficiency over long distances, and slightly better engine response.

thats good to hear....
why? whats happened??
p.s> weeks almost out!!!! bring on the weekend!
Can't really say, but imagine a very badly infected ingrown toenail and a 4mm shard of glass that penetrated to bone (which no one saw for 2 weeks before allowing me a peg at it), all in a person with a compromised immune system. Poor sod has been in hospital for 2 weeks, and no one could figure out what the problem was!

I just saved someones foot, leg and probably life today.
Friday has been a good day!

The 80/20 rule
Don't spend 80% of your time on 20% of your problems, and vice versa.
Have life balance.
And one last thing: Never use your leg as a a cricket bat. I have my leg bound up tighter than a Chinese lady's feet.

Daymn, even I laughed at that one.

Wow. I feel so much better about myself and my life now.
Well, back to it.

Where oh where did 'survival of the fittest' go? Darwin would be turning...
Where the did this topic come from, anyway?

Easy to check CVs - look between the wheel and drive shaft and if you notice a thick greasy substance, viola, CV joint gone. It may also plaster the inside of the wheel rims.

Brilliant!

I'm more worried about a rise in your blood pressure.

I recall the box that mine came in was also quite trashed. But then again, it was delivered all the way to Perth after the WL move which was in the middle of one of the QLD floods.

You know those lovely people walking up and down watching you like vultures?
I used to be one!
Take it easy on them. They get paid very little!

How much is it to fit cruise control nowadays?
$899, though if you ask nicely Toyota might do it for $700.
Going outside, it's about $200 for parts, and anywhere between $500 and $700 to install as it can be time consuming. There are some DIY kits, but they can be damned difficult to install. Talking of which, I have a DIY kit for sale, $200 ono, free postage within Aust.

I'm off to Kalgoorlie from tomorrow. Behave yourselves in my absence.

Cruise control is expensive. I wouldn't chuck it if I were you.

If anyone sees my car over the enxt few days, please be kind enough to tell me!

After watching the last half of the show last night, I realised one thing.
I should have auditioned.

That's assuming you used all 70L worth of tank space. If you had a 1/4 left, then the maths is off, and the savings (as you suggested) are greater.
Notwithstanding, I drive a fleet worth of Camry's, and I have never seen or heard of such good mileage. 700km, perhaps, if your name is Daisy.
Not bad, keep it up and the environment will love you!

The kit is in Perth at the moment.
If I recall correctly, it is the Command Cruise Control AP60 with the clutch cutoff.
I'll be back in Perth next week, and I'll take a couple of happy snaps and get the details.
