Can anyone tell us what the AS specs are based on ? I think it's 4 people driving up some gradient for X km's

1st service (Visual only + adjustments, no oil change) is before 5000km or 3 months. The real 1st service is 7500km's

Hi,

Inside the Fuel cap my Aurion says (E10) and it runs OK, but do get better economy out to normal 95% Octane fuel where it was down to 7.6L/100km on a trip from Dubbo with the Shell stuff Unleaded.

Never got that with the the E10 fuel even though I still buy the E10 most weeks.

I'm going for a trip up north @ Easter, will try the 98% fuel & see how it goes.

I initially opened this thread, just for an FYI about the Aurion TRD, not really an agrument on FWD v's RWD's

I bought the Aurion because it was value for money not because I want to enter it in Bathurst this year.

it depends on how much you want to spend, but if u want i'll pm u a place that will retrim the entire car in custom leather and it will be airbag friendly too.

Maybe if you want some comeback to toyota/insurer on an acident if the airbag could have saved you, good luck in proving that.

Yes the airbags are in the side of the seat (lower quadrent as labled by the tag on the seat), for an Aurion.

Ive been looking around to get front seat covers for an Aurion that are airbag compatable. I saw 2 in Auto 1 but they were very grandpa'ish.

Any hints or web sites etc?

There was no 1000Km service for me, the just said bring it in before 5000km (So I did a 2600km). But don't think they did much except straight'en my exhaust because the tail pipe was hitting the body. Didn't even get a service docket because it was free.

Just thought id mention this. But ever since i have purchased the SX6 it revs or "flares" about 1000rpm between 3rd to 4th gear but only in the first 2 km tof travel. I thought this was a bit strange but the service tech's said at the first service, this was a know "FEATURE" that happens in some Aurions in the transmission warm up cycle. I have driven other Aurions, but this didn't happen with these. Slightly annoying.

Another "feature" which I haven't experianced is, it won't go into 6th gear for the first 3 km which it OK for me because I am usually easy with it for the first couple of km's.

Any one else been told of this or other things ?

I would have loved the ZR6 but comes down to thats an extra couple of years on the home loan. Hope all goes well

I didn't think the sx6 had a seat memory position. I though that was in the next model up, eg. ZR6 maybe ask the dealer you bought it from ?

But me too would be interested, due to the wife factor !

Have been told by the dealership where I picked up my aurion, that the TRD aurion will come in around $75k!

I've heard from inner Toyota workers its around there as well. the $70k region.

Limited production between 100-150 as well.

$70K, I think I'll stay with the Sx6 for a while, it'd want to have a built in french polish machine for $70K........... Wonder if you can get your hands on the supercharger and drop it in for a lot less ? eg. a copule of $K ???

I bought an SX6 a couple of months ago & never looked back. Drove an ATX for a week, but just doesn't have the nice extra's that the SX6 does.

Great on petrol etc. (for a v6) Had to take it back for it's first service before 5000km (not the usual 1000). The only thing wrong was the tail pipe was hitting the body.

For those interested, i have the SX6 in black... it is a dream car and very impressive..

I have attached pic of it still in the showroom.

It now also has tinted windows..

Did the mag's cost much extra ? I bought an Earth Red SX6 about 2 months a go, but wasn't game to ask how much extra the 18" mag's were. Got "Street Legal" tinting and a tow bar instead.

I usually put the United E10 in my car (apparently 95 Octane). Get poor consumtpion around town 11-12L/110km but that is expected.

Anything under 8L/100km is very impresive !! (2 me)

Just though I'd mention, I've had the Sx6 for bit over a month now & managed to get the fuel usage down to 8.1L/100km. I was't driving like a complete grandpa but had it in cruise control most of the time between 105-118km/hr

Wasn't a big drive, about 300km through Bulladella up north.

I should be able to improve on that next drive. I didn't think that was too bad for a 3.5Ltr.

Q: I was told that the mic is already installed next to the overhead sunglasses compartment, is this true. Or is it just a space where there allowing for one ?
