Well, to check that out, someone with a 2005 model will need to go for a dyno in future. Even though it's advertised for 141kw, the manager at a dealership informed me that they have 150+kw engine to avoid complaints from customers about power loss. So this would allow about 10% of inaccuracy for Toyota's advertisement. Again, it could be bs from typical dealers.

hahah, automatic sportivo?? If they did have one on the market, i would have got one since my whole family can only drive automatic. <_<

i think the Runx Rsi doesn't have the side skirts that our sportivo will get.

hahaha, i just rang the owner, it's basically a sportivo replica modified from a corolla ascent sport. damn, i knew it was probably too good to be true. The details from carsales probably didn't give the owner to input their information but based it on their list of features on this vehicle.

Well, either way, i dont really care if it's 141 or 152kw for the 2005 model. I'm happy with both amount of power. lol if it's 152kw, it would be nice and it will probably be the jdm spec engine. As long it does lack any feature of the prefacelift model, i'm happy. So far from that runx rsi that i saw, IT'S MISSING THE BODY KIT.

Well, that model seems to lack something. No side skirts, WTH. I thought it would have looked like this man, i thought they were gonna come during february. I can't wait any longer than March May is awfully late for me, i'll be busy in my first year of uni. I know a dealer who owns a sportivo himself and he says they will come out during february. Btw, does any have a picture or URL to the JDM Runx which uses the 2zz-ge engine? I heard they pull out 150+kw.

I thought the facelift t-sports from overseas are only 141kw. wont we get the same specs?

Today, i went to Clinton dealership at Lakemba and went around looking at the sportivo over there. I asked a dealer what difference is there gonna be with the 05 and the 04 model. The dealer who was about late 20s said confidently that the new models will go at 152kw. For a moment, i was like , you're kidding me!! So i thought it must have been exaggerated information. However, he also mentioned that in future that a new echo will feature the 2zz-ge engine. Well he also added that the price of the stivo will go for about 33k driveway but Phil Gilbert Lidcombe quoted an esimate of 31k driveaway. I'm not sure how valid his claims are but is 152kw for the 2005 model feasible?

Does this recall require a fee to be paid?? or is this covered by the warranty?

Initially, the MR2 AW11 also featured the same 4AGE then 4AGZE with the corolla back in those days. Not until SW20 which then MR2 shared the same engine the Celica (excluding Australian Celica which featured 5sfe instead of the 3sge). Maybe the latest MR2 is trying to follow the same trend of the AW11?

hahah... putting a 2zzge into an echo is a bit over-doing it isn't it?? I mean, this isn't like toyota. So i'm a bit surprised. If it was to be a 2zzge engine which is roughly 190bhp and with addition of a roughly 900kg chasiss, this is going to be too fast. It's gonna bomb customers away from corolla stivo. The power to weight ratio is going to roughly 6.7 kg/kw which is much faster than the integra type r which holds a ratio of 7.89 kg/kw In conclusion, i think 1zz-fe would be more realistic since the pwer to weight ratio is approximately 9.0 kg/kw.

As far as i know VTEC and VVTL are almost the same thing. But i would want to know what are their differences?

I took a look at the levin and it was very nice indeed. i found that it was awfully similar with sportivo except the engine, wheels, muffler and leather. however, the price between conquest is quite a gap from what i heard. How should a good price go for a levin??
