  1. erm, u can delete this part LOL... That was exactly as what the video was doing... I tried doing the same thing... Maybe I did it wrongly. Anyway I will try again later today and tell you guys how it is. The thing is... this safety feature sux. I have another car, Mercedez C200K and it will allow me to do anything when the car is moving, And no sueing from me and anybody else that I know of. LOL Well I tried. It did not work. Any other suggestions guys??? So did I it doesn't work on my Presara.
  2. That video was actually pretty good, but too bad the navigation that I have is of different make or model. I tried it as what's shown in the clip but it did not work. Any other suggestions guys? I find this annoying too a few time i have been in a hurry and asked the passenger to key in a destination and it's a total pain evry time you come to a full stop you get a few more letters in and you really do have to stop and do it. it is a NECESSARY safety feature though as you know you would abuse it and have a bingle and sue them don't you. At least you can still use the speed dial and last no. dialed on the phone. disabling it probably not really a good idea
  3. hahaahahahah then we wont invite them okay lol So how many sportivo aurions????? Jst wondering how many there would be at the cruise. I dont want to see 3 sportıvos and the rest presaras lol. No offence 2 ne 1 :) Well there would be you in the Sportivo and all us old farts in Presara's discussing how to get the seat set up to minimise discomfort after the little prostate exam and other hot exciting topics for Presara owners. You think i'm joking don't you! hahahahaha temper temppeerrr. Man you should relax. Obviously we are joking. We would like to see you old farts in our cruise ofcourse. However what hot exciting topics you have in mind i wonder lol. Well for one how do we convince harrop to "lose" an engineering sample TRD supercharger so we can pep up the Presara

  5. A picture really is worth a thousand words. That sort of answers all the warranty and should or must i fit relays question pretty well conclusively.
  6. I registered on line then called the Toyotalink number to activate and check it. The toyotalink websites really good you can log in and check where the car is for example!! I of course I can't because Bill Buckle Toyota didn't activate the hardware in the pre delivery! if you have NO status lights in the unit then its not activated by the dealer. Nothing will work. I will take it in for the first service soon and see if they will do it properly for me this time!
  7. Thanks I have activated the Toyotalink by mobile phone and yes you can activate it but unless the dealer initialises the unit in predelivery it dont go. Bill Buckle forgot to do it. I guess that shows they haven't been selling many Presaras with Toyotalink! I did ring them they told me i have to press the hospital button to turn it on. no kidding! I will worry about it at first service of corse we will have to have a little discussion about the subscription expiry date then too won't we. My dealer said: He can't do this, it's up to customer after faxing an "application". He even photocopied few pages in his book for me (not the one goes with the car) and told to go for a shortcut. I have not activated it due to spending whole day today to move stuffs for my child. Will try it on Monday. BH Which dealer said this? call Toyotalink yourself and find out the truth. Hvae a look here it explains about it http://www.toyotalink.com.au/toyotalink . To activate your Tototalink ACCOUNT is one thing though. The tototalink hardware unit in the car must be initialised or activated first. Check the website and then check your units led status lights. If it's activated you can just press the call button and register over toyotalink itself.
  8. CAI Cold air intake and ram air is all total bull**** on an Aurion and on most modern cars especially small capcity ones. Anyone who shows you a dyno chart showing that this mod alone on a dyno will make any difference is not telling the truth or is being conned. The Aurion is not restricted in its air intake and it draws its air from outside the engine bay. might look fast if you open the bonnet and sound fast but will only really impress the insurance company and the dealer warranty claim manager who will see this as a great way to milk a sucker who will believe anything. Waste of time on an Aurion.
  9. No idea on the release yet still waiting to see one for sale in a showroom too. I did ask harrop about an aftermarket supercharger kit and they sent me to TRD who didn't reply. maybe after a while a kit will come out for poor cousin Aurion owners
  10. Well That looks pretty quick! I can say my presara will do 6.6 seconds to 96kmh or 60mph on my old g-tech so allowing for a typically fast reading speedo and all that 6 seconds odd would be what you would expect to see. of course it doesn't change the fact the Aurion is really only good for around 7.3-7.5 seconds for the 0-100kmh sprint on proper timimg gear. Has anyone run an Aurion at Heathcote or WSID and got some slips to prove haow fast they can be when abused to buggery by a desperate owner with a few drag racing skills outside of a real world magazine test.
  11. if you are out in the open on a reasonably level road with more than 4 satelites in view then the tom tom will be way more accurate than the speedo. Speedo's are designed to be between 0 to +4% accurate. Thats always fast never slow. So 110kmh real speed should read anywhere from 110 to 115kmh. I will check mine and see what it says for a laugh but i will bet it reads fast too they all do.
  12. ATX model. No trip computer so no average speed but all city driving. It Could get this low but it would have to be ave speeds less than 20kmh ie pushbikes are passing you in traffic jam type stuff. Drive it like i stole it off a full tank I can see 18 on my display for a few k's until common sense prevails! On ave over a few 100k i would think you should be 12-13L/100km worst though
  13. No not likely to be on the road. they are only $49,990 but no discounts unless you have national fleet.
  14. the mazda 6 is going to be more economical than an Aurion for sure. It's about the mass in KG of the car. The 6 is smaller lighter and has a good smaller engine. having said that the 16.5L/100km isn't good. what was the average speed?
  15. Nice choice. Seriously good bang for your buck with the 200Kw V6 in the Aurion way better than the 4cyl and old auto 3L V6 Sportivo even with a few extra kilos on the chassis. This Sportivo front skirts are diabolical for parking so don't worry. I don't know how you are supposed to drive them over car park speed bumps let alone park close to gutters wihout occasionally scraping them. Presara's dont get the SX ZX body kits so i am fine but even so the front is low and the corners protude enough to be awkward.
  16. 90 days is a average but there was a bit of a wait on my Presara too. I chose the Tian Silver (beige) and Stone (light grey) trim in the end but the Silver Ash and black is an excellent choice very classy. On fuel mine is similar to yours with any mixed city country running I can achieve the 9.9 l/100km the window sticker claims. Around town in the city it is much worse but my old Falcon was averagining 14L/100km so I am happy with 30% less! and it isn't any slower than the falcon thats for sure
  17. Not many Aurions and all old farts too. What a Surprise
  18. On the basis of that one photo i wouldn't be slashing my wrists that i bought a Presara and couldn't wait for the 3500Sl or what ever it is. needs more style work or colour combos Black ZR6 looks better?
  19. Cant remember exactly when the order was placed - lets say the 17th May, but I pick it up this Thursday making the order-to-delivery time just over a month (and its been at the dealer a few days already). I am wrapped I have to say. I wonder if Leaseplan get any preferance? Cheers The Pig I would guess leaseplan do get better service than a retail customer but its more down to Toyota's forecasting getting better on the models being produced within the Aurion range now the sales are kicking off in reasonable volume. They just didn't expect the Presara to sell as well as it is and don't have supplier orders in palce for the HID lights sat nav moon roof and all the unique components on this model
  20. there's no point of doing HID for the high beam. If you do put HID for the HID, you'll kill the bulbs more easily (especially when you flick on n off). Also It takes longer for HID to get to full brightness. yes that makes sense. So maybe some of those blue tinted halogen replacement globes would make the transition from low to high look less yellow then.
  21. The Aurion display is tank ave L/100km. It resets on every new full tank. it just calcs the L/100Km from the distance travelled and the fuel used. On battery disconnection it will no doubt lose count of where it was and reset as if it had a full tank I expect but haven't tried. it updates every 10 seconds but changes are very fast only when you say just fill up and drive straight onto a freeway doing 110kmh in a few seconds. if you have benn driving for 200k in the city and head onto the freeway it changes very slowly. So the Aurion fuel consumption display is tank average not instantaneous and not lifetime average. I still feel the full tank to full tank litres used divided by the actaul km difference between the full tanks gives the most accurate record and it is different from the display L/100Km.
  22. I have the Presara with the HID lights with auto leveliing and turning on cornering and they are great. Only issue is they make the high beam look yellow. So what do i need to do with the high beam? HID too? 6500k globes ?
  23. I am starting to put a few km's on the Presara and have been keeping a log. So far the fuel consumption on the dash disply has been from an all time best of 7.6 to a worst of 17.1 L/100Km. From a full tank to full tank calculation over two fills the average is 9.22 L/100Km in a mix of driving freeway and city Sydney and Canberra. Around town if in real inner city traffic with low average speeds it can be quite bad 14-16 L/100km's but with any 80 kmh plus average speed roads mixed in it improves very quickly. Certainly the economy lives up to the claims on the window sticker. Hardly any point buying the Camry 4 cyl version if you can be gentle on the acclerator of the Aurion and don't exclusively drive in heavy traffic.
  24. Rear spoiler cannot be fitted with rear camera legally. That's not to say it will not physically fit. Whats this about? the reversing camera is just above the number plate! I can't see why or how there would be any problem physically or legally? Can you explain.
