I have looked at the service manaul guide, but having a hard time finding the drain nut on the motor. Tried looking with a torch from above and under the car still can't locate it behind the inlet manifold. Just wondering if one of you guy be able to post a real pic of roughly where it is located?

Hi, while we are on this topic. How do you flush the coolant on the 1ZZFE any way? Do you just drain it through the drain nut at the bottom of the radiator and fill it up again?

I have the same problem... Idle fluctuate and get quite low causing the car to shake quite a fair bit. This happens more often when the car the is cold. After driving for about 15 minutes the problem seem to stop... I notice that this problem happens more often in winter. I have another friend who have the same problem his corolla. My car is now out of warranty...but have had Toyota looking into the problem at least 3 times during warranty period but they say nothing is wrong.

I've experienced this problem too...I had this problem when the car was a few months old and still have it now...Car is more than 3yrs old now..I'm used to it now. The car runs fine though.

I have the same problem. Car seems to idle rough intermittently since I had it from day one, it happens more often during winter though. The rev can drops down to 100rpm and slowly increases back to normal at around 800rpm. Got it checked it twice by the dealer at 10K & 20K service and they say everything is fine. Once the car is being driven for about 15-20 minutes it rarely happens, but still happens once in a while. I do have after market airpod installed...Just wondering if any of you that are experiencing the problem have a modified air intake system of some sort?

My car is 2002 Corolla Levin. The manual states that the oil spec is 75-90W...Should I go for synthetic or just normal one? Any recommendation?

Time to get the manual gearbox oil change...Just want to know what I should use.

Hi, Would changing the header alone on the 1ZZFE get much power/response gain? If so, does anyone here have any recommendation as to where I can get one in Sydney? The stock pipes from the header all the way to the cat seem pretty big. Cheers,

My rolla is a Levin hatchback. The 17's offset is 40. I will look into the 205/45R17 to avoid any issues. I think the 45 profile will give you more comfy ride. :D Thanks for all the replies.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. Firstly, great forum, have lots of good/useful info on the current corolla (01 onward). I'm considering of lowering my ride (non stivo rolla) with Lovells Sport Low springs (front & back). Follows by a set of 17" with 215/45R17 tyres. Does anyone on this forum have this exact setup? If so, just want to know if the front wheels scrub the guard on bumpy rides. Secondly is the uncompressed height of rear springs tall enough to stay in place when the car is being fully jacked up for service? Cheers,
