You shouldn't think like that cos if you know how to bargain, you can definitely get yourself a good deal on a new car. I bought mine for 42.2K drive away with tints and sportivo mats and that's in April, I'm sure they are cheaper these days. Some other ppl on this site have bought it for less than what i paid for, drive away. RRP and on road cost means nothing if you know how to haggle down prices. This forum has proven that u can get a drive away deal for less than RRP price. Just show them you're serious and dont hang on to every word they say. If you're not happy with the price, then walk away, chances are they'll call u back to renegotiate. Just act like you can't be bullied by them :D. All I'm saying is that you shouldn't be 'negative' on thinking that a new ZR6 can cost u up to $44K drive away just cos the RRP says so....

Well I think $41K drive away can be done these days for a NEW ZR6. Paint protection is kinda BS imo and I didn't even bother getting that. But if you're happy with the condition of the demo car (no scratches or dents) and u don't mind not getting a brand new one, and if ur happy with the price and package then go for it. But I think that it wont even come around to $51K drive away for a new ZR6 to be fitted with sat nav and paint, ull definitely get it for less than that!

Haha i don't use it too much, but I used it the other day and it did make me wince lol, it is pretty bad sounding. But as i said, i don't use it much so I'm not so bothered by it.

Lol well it really doesn't look dirty! I'm too lazy too i guess, cos everytime i wash it on a wkend, knowing my luck it will probably rain the next day... <_< I guess my point is, if you're the type of person who doesn't wanna wash ur car every week, then consider buying a silver or similar type colour. :D

I haven't washed mine in ages....like mayb 2 months and it looks fine! Thats what i love about silver cars

Lol that's a shame u scraped it on the first day...but don't worry, I scraped mine when it was 2 days old too <_< and now there's this big black mark towards the front side. Is that $35,500 drive away? That's quite a good deal, depends on the '06 month and if it's an actual demo though. I got my Zr6 for less than the retail price anyway drive away, but it was completely completely brand new. Chatswood Toyota had a few of them Sx6's to get rid off in the beginning of the year, and they wouldn't sell me the Zr6 for cheap as they had to order it as well, and they would rather get rid of the Sx6's. But congrats on the car, I wouldn't worry too much about the skirt though, unless it's a big mark/dent and it bothers you.

I was told the first complimentary service is at approx 1000km. Mind you, im a student and dont drive to uni at all so the car hasn't been driven much, so i haven't actually gone in for that service yet. But i do plan to go @ 1000km, not 5000km or whatever. Actually i just looked at the service handbook. It says complimentary service is valid for use up to 3 months since u got the car, or 5000km. So i guess i should be doing that soon!

Meh, is it just me or does it not look sporty at all? I prefer the red one, looks better, i liked the contrasting bumpers with it. I'm just not liking the black on the aurion sport models. Ive seen a few around and it made the whole car look smaller than it is. Maybe it's just my eyes, or maybe black really does slim everything down. The TRD front looks more Holden-/Ford-ish in black. That's what i think anyway.

The red looks better in person....more of a sparkle! I havent actually seen a red sportivo in person, its not the same red colour on the AT-X models is it? Cos they look like dull red! Hehe well anyway these pics look nice

So finally, after a week of delay (probs with rego), i picked up the ZR6 yesterday morning. Chose silver cos i love the colour, and i don't really want to stand out much. I have to say that red colour looks rather great, but hmmm oh well too late now haaha. But i still think it looks pretty hot in silver. The only thing that bothers me is the thick back pillar, and i find it annoying cos sometimes i can't see cars coming from the left if i'm pulling out lol. Anyone else find this prob? But other than that, the car is awesome, very smooth to drive and happy with it so far.

Hey for all those who own an Aurion already, where did you find your car's manufacture/build date? And also the vin/chassis/engine number, i dont know if there is any difference between those. We are picking up the ZR6 next Sat and have never had a Toyota before so im not sure where to look. In our mitsubishi, we can find the build date on the base of the seatbelt next to the seat, and also in the hood. Would appreciate some answers, thanks! EDIT: Never mind, they told us it's near the engine. I will post some pics up when I get it next week, about bloody time! Hehe

DK, which dealer did you get yours from? I mean, which original dealer did it come from? Cos i test drove a white zr6 from Sydney City Toyota about end of February, just wondering if it's the same car hehe. They had a bit of trouble selling it i think, cos of the colour.

Got mine from Mosman for $42,200 driveaway with tint & mats, he wouldnt go down to $42K lol. But got an offer of $42K from Rockdale, but by that time it was too late and already made the deal with Mosman. If onli rockdale rang earlier... :D

So you paid $42,900 drive away for an '06 built? Thats pretty good with the sunroof, was it a demo or anything? I wouldn't mind a sunroof, dont really need one, but i'd like to think i have one hehehe. Yeh i was looking at the SX6 first too, but then found out it didn't have climate control so i started looking at the ZR. I was expecting to bargain more, but in the end i found out that none of the dealers have any ZR6's in stock so kinda hard to go down too low. Wow, i did not kno that the push start could interfere with pacemakers, they should orally warn people before they buy, otherwise can't consumers sue toyota/lexus? I mean, nobody reads the manual until after they buy their car...

Oh yes, don't forget the high quality set of 4 slimline weathershields. They really look good on the Aurion and blends in very well with dark tinted windows. Lol, I never did really like those, and anyway im not gonna pay anymore than i already plan to for this car. And they wont give those for free; every dealer is being tight-a$$ now because the demand for these cars are pretty high. It was hard to negotiate prices for too long, so in the end we gave up. Although the slimline looks pretty cool with the chrome strip :) hate those bulky ones

lucky you, because everytime i mention getting extended warranty, all the salesmen just sorta put up their hands and say "thats not up to us, you need to do that separately with the warranty ppl", so I gave up trying to get it for free. I think they said an extra 2 or 3yrs will cost approx $1250

Hi hi im new here, just ordered a ZR6 thats gonna be April production, which means it wont get here til late april or even up to mid May but oh wells, thats the earliest anyone has, so what can i do? Ive gotten them to put the most legal tints and the Sportivo carpet mats too. Just wondering to any of you who bought Aurions, did you guys get extended warranty? Not sure if i will, cos this is my first toyota, but i know theyre supposed to be reliable, i dont really mind paying the extra $$$ but don't want to unnecessarily.
