  1. soo will the unichip actually damage ya car in anyway ? its only like 220 bux to get it installed, so it might be worth it if it doesnt do anything to da engine.
  2. u could always try and make a shield around the pod. like something that'll fit over the pod and all the way up to the pipe.
  3. the reflective lights that you are refering to are projector headlights HID's dont have that sparkel, they are just brighter then the rest, the philips Diamond vision are pretty good as well as there vision plus range ← thnx for that. i would have thought the nice reflective colour was achieved by coating the bulb with a mixture of colours ? coz i had another pair of foglights that reflected colour and the outside glass was coated with multicolour. but anywayz, aslong the colour is whiter thats ok.
  4. hey, just brought a set of fog lights (oem style) for da rolla. before i get them installed by the auto electrician, i want to change the globes over to halogen HID style(like xenon). what ADR approved globes would u recommend ? narava had some good ones. i basically want a white HID style(with reflective colour) globe thats ADR approved. thnx dont worry, i wont try to blind ya with the lights. im installing them more for showz, rather than using them.
  5. Wouldn't you get the same sort of effect if u install any CAI kit. Don't they all do the same job? You'll still get the performance and the sucking noise. This CAI is $300 cheaper and it's from Simota. Not sure if they're any good but I'm thinking it would do the same job. It just doesn;t look as good as the TRD one. Correct me if I'm wrong. :) ← being a sportivo, mabbie some cops will overlook it ? dunno lol. are cai illegal btw ?
  6. i was wondering if any1 knows how much it would cost to get power windows installed into a conquest ? (bak seats). coz my conquest was the older production soo the bak seats lacks power windows. i know the motor per window is around 350bux, but i dunno how much it would cost to get the bak all done.
  7. well if u replaced the parts with genuine sportivo or trd parts, its still covered. well thats what toyota told me.
  8. kk thnx. i just had a look at my engine and your guide. i have a question. u know your 3pic where u quoted "this pipe comes with the box" i was wondering which pipe u are talkin about. coz since my car is a conquest model, the piping is different and im afraid it may be too short to reach. ill see if i can upload a pic with circles etc.
  9. kk cool. soo u know the original airbox, is that very easy to take off ? also the extra bracket that needs to be cut, can u cut that yourself ? or do u need a proper sawing machine ?
  10. It takes on average about 2 hours to install (first timer....about an hour for experianced ppls) plus minor modification to one bracket. 270$ to install is highway robbery. Do it yer self and save the money (if you feel you can) there are plenty of people to help you do it on this forum. and we dont mind getting phoe calls ;) take a look at the workshop section also :D ← haha yep i have. looks pretty easy. but i dont want to stuff up my installing. hrmm do u have to remove the battery though ? + does it come with detailed instructions ? ← it comes with instructions. but it can get a bit confusing with all the VSV valves and such. whereabouts are u? ← nsw. but, ill ask around to see if other car workshop can fit it in for half da price. if i cant get that, ill see if u guys can help me.
  11. just checked it out, it looks like the same package. yaay, now i dont need to worry haha. :P :D hrmm but i dun remember the actual price. but i know its in da $300's.
  12. Toyota have a lovely button available, from the current MR2 which for some reason has its driving light switch on the dash. However, when I enquired about this, they wanted $90 for it. Perhaps you could try www.ozeparts.com.au ... they sell a full driving light kit for the Rolla (I'll be getting my own shortly) which includes a dash switch ... worth giving them a call to see if they sell the switch separately. ← ohhh, the fog light kit comes with a switch, but i only had a quick look at the switch and im not sure if it'll fit. yep thnx anywayz.

  14. AS I SAID $200 Fine and defect notice for POD filter if it is uncovered NSW dont know about QLD ← not entirly true, this is only the case if the pod is in the engine bay, as teh TRD one is not then you dont have any probs, my car is registered in NSW and i have had no probs even when having my vehicle inspected, the guys at the toyota place where i get my car serviced also said that it was all ok. ← hrmm cant u get done for noise pollution though ? hope not coz im gonna install my TRD CAI in a few weeks (waiting for bak-order from the dealer). geeez, cant believe it cost $270 to get it installed. does it really require that much labour hrs ? might even have a go myself, if i do bugger up the installation, ill just take it to the toyota dealer.
  15. it is on the indicator stalk and costs about $280 easiest way is to get a rocker switch and fit it next to the security light and coin holder ← yeh, i was thinkin of removing the coin slot since i dont use it. thnx for that. hopefully toyota will have a suitable nice button.
  16. i was wondering where the foglight button is located in the rolla. since i own a conquest, i dont have foglights. i want to install some but the blank button above the a/c is used. sooo yeh, it would be good to know the button location. :)
  17. hrmm i thought pod filter and cai were different ? since cai only draws in cold air coz of its location ? sooo i dunno why u have to box the cai.
  18. umm i think the sportivo suspension is the same one u can buy off toyota's genuine sportivo parts. all i know is, that it drops the rolla by 1 or 1.5cm.
  19. ive been gettin crap fuel eco. i can only manage around 450-500km max (driving around, never highway). i revv to about 4000 usually and 5500 sometimes. i dunno whats wrong with it. must be something. :(
  20. any1 know a good place to get bodykit fitted and painted ? in sydney please. thnx.
  21. It takes roughly two weeks from Bruce. Credit Card but ring him and ask.. Insurance company normally ok but a question you need to ask them not us cause ultimatly they are the ones paying claims. Local Toyota dealers do not normally stock these unless they buy TRD stuff in. Bruce supplys them anyway. ← kk thnx. hrmm, that could be alittle too late for me. yep dun worry, my local toyota dealer sells them. if they dont have it in stock, they said they would source it from others who do stock them. can ya pm me bruce's price. if u dont want to say the exact, can ya put the price in a range for me ? thnx
  22. i was wondering how long it takes to recieve the CAI from bruce ? also what payment method does he accept and would any toyota dealer be happy to fit it on for me ? finally, will there be any problems with my insurance company ? justcars or racv to be exact. i need the CAI asap within 3weeks. if i cant get one within 3weeks, i'll go to my local toyota dealer and buy one from them. thnx for any help.
  23. is RACQ the equivalence of RAVC and NRMA ? if it is, im gonna try and talk to RAVC about the alloy width again.
  24. u reckon 17" with a width of 7.5" would be good for a rolla ? oh, does it require the guards to be rolled ?
  25. ummm so tell me. if i were to insure my car with AAMI would i be able to fit a simple sports exhaust and nice 17" *7.5" alloys ?(im under 25 btw) i know i said they wouldnt allow me, but i wanna know from someone who is actually insured with them.
