  1. i just got my wheel alignment done today .. after 3 visits

raised the front up high today and left the rear dumped..

looked like i was giving it to the car while i was cruising

r u gonna leave it raised at the front?

    thats weirdo man

nah dropped it back down.. but the front is a little higher than the rear.. once i sit in it, looks perfect. :)

adjusting it is so easy now.. 5 min job. :)

Cant fit any fingers into my rear guards... can put my little finger into the front guard :o

  2. arh mate i need somebody to adjust mine .. bloody went for wheel alignment today and waited 1 n half hr in que.. than once it was my turn the guy said my cars too low and wont make it over the little ramp! :(

  3. gOODbOYz nice ride!!! :D

    looks good lowered like that!!

arh thanx man.. i love ur avator.. looks cute :)

Sure, perhaps we coilover owners should meet one day. Its holiday anyway, so it should be good.

So far in Melbourne we got you, spec_black, BanGn and I who r running coilovers - do I miss some others?

maybe ZAV n specialize32 might have coilovers ?

yeah lets have another meet soon .. ! i think big bums is arranging a cruise this sunday to GOR..

  4. That means u r riding lower than me :) I keep 1 finger gap for safe measure, and I do not recommend riding lower than that to be honest. 100mm is safe - 90mm is about as far as u should go. Between the centre hub to the fender should be at around 30-31cm.

With my height, u can load full passenger without rub - unless u corner that is, sometimes slow speed still produces rubbing of the fender plastic guard, and uneven road will also rub it.

    Driving alone is fine.

arh serious? gotta adjust it abit higher then.. the back is perfect now .. guard over the wheel .. front seems abit low .. prob. adjust it tomz.

u'll have to come out sometime n show me how low ur's sit danz! :)

  5. Someone here must got that pic where i fit in a ciggarette box underneath the car. It just touches the chassis rail - given that it is 9cm off ground from chassis. But, perhaps the ground is not level, well, i should be at around 9-10cm.

i actually scrubbed b4 .. :( can not fit my finger inbetween the guard.. migh have to go 110mm.

I dont know how u get around with 90 danz .. hardcore!

  6. if you lower it too much from the spring u have a higher risk of bottoming out as well.

shoulda came to me for installation bb's garage yo!

suspension city dont even know where to jack the car from, they jacked it from the rear axel when i was there, not only that but scratched mikes door =|

my doors already been bent there .. when i put my king springs on.

    where is bb's garage located?

  7. its not about working the coilover 100 percent or not. Its a way of setting it to avoid premature.

If you lower your coilover from the spring perch beyond the reccomended level, it will have premature wear. Just like when you use lower spring on standard suspension, because the sping is shorter your strut sits lower. Same thing occur when you lower the spring seat on coilover beyond recommended measurement.

I don't know how low you wish to go, but do take care if you wish to lower it from the spring seat.

As for me, my suspension can lower the car without the need to lower the spring seat. This is an advantage because it can sits lower but strut travel is not affected at all. So I don't adjust the height from the spring seat as it can be done in a better way.

    got cha! :)

Appreciate the help danz n bangns.. ill prob. go back to suspension city n ask them to set it up again .. as the guy that did my car had no clue of how to install the coilovers. :(

  8. I raise my suspension's body in order to lower my car, as BanGn said, i don't have any negative effect on the damper. This goes for both front and rear.

so with ur set up ur not working 100% of ur coilovers right? more of looks than performance?

  9. Shorter you said? I think i know why.

Now, before you guys start playing with the height, unless you guys already realised that you can lower the car without lowering the spring perch. Instead, you raise the hub connector or the body as I like to call it. By doing so, your coilover becomes a shorter suspension, and this don't sacrifice shortening the travel of the strut which is what will happened when you lower the coilover by the spring perch.

You can only do this for your front because the rear do not have seperate hub connector like the front.

I'm bringing it back to the suspension place tomz.. as i am new to this suspension langauge

  10. These D2's are pretty good.. ill b going hard on it on the way home in an hr to see what they r made of ... got to test it gear 1 and 2 on a few turns today .. felt like i was hugging the curve... def. worth every penny .. "bang for your buck" as Danz would say :D

    ill upload pix later..

Indeed it is bang for your bucks. Easy on the camber now, no more than 2.0 degree negative.

Hmmm...now i see three different shape of D2s. This one, BanGn's one, and the silver monotube one with long spring. This should be the latest one aye?

yeah .. mine and spec_blacks wont identical which was funny .. apparrently my coilover was abit shorter.
