Really there is no need to go that fast.. this is not legal either anywhere in Aus..(used to be in NT..F**k the NT labour gov)

Anyways once the car is over 200kms it becomes very unstable. i dont think anyone will release something to take the speed limiter off. toyota def will not do it.. i dont think the stock tyres are rated to go that fast..

Have you gone above 200kms.. just go above it in a aurion.. see how it feels.. then get a mate with a rice burner (Wrx STI or GTR) and get them to do it..

u can tell the difference.. one car is ment to go above 200kms.. one car isent..

the word i got from a TRD Tech was there is not much change to the engine from the Normal Aurion. The fuel lines are the same The intake is the same. The only thing that needs to be changed is the belt just needs to be longer to add the pulley in.. Also the ECU needs to be changed. its still the same ECU as the normal aurion just some minor changes..

Other than that because it only puts in a extra 4psi none of the engine needs to be re-enforced the current build is strong enough..

Ooo and it does weigh a few kgs.. so freight in AUS is only $75 ish .. over seas.. i dont know..

Well guys after a few months of all my stuff sitting in storage i am now in the process of getting rid of everything.. this includes the supercharger i brought on ebay a few months ago..

I have taken it to toyota in Darwin and spoken to the TRD Tech. He had it for the day and said there is nothing wrong with it at all.

I can provide names and number of the Tech for confirmation that everything is in working order.

Now i did not want to sell this but i have been forced to by the ex gf.. :(

n btw i've bought the front strut bar...n i rekon all aurion drivers would realise that there is a lot of body roll

during turns especially round abouts and etc!! after i install the struty...BEAUTY !!!! i defitnely felt the difference

less body roll defitnely helped my turnin!! i can actually speed up in a turn wifout my car slamming me towards my door :P

Toyota will race debut the first of four TRD Aurion Aussie Racing Cars in next weekend’s Nikon Indy 300 race on the streets of Surfer’s Paradise, Queensland.

The exciting Aussie Racing Cars compete nationally at V8 Supercar events, as well as the Indy 300 and the Australian Grand Prix with Toyota is the first manufacturer to directly support entries in Aussie Racing Cars.

Toyota Australia motorsport manager Todd Connolly said Aussie Racing Cars are an exciting category that offer thrilling wheel-to-wheel racing.

The 450kg Aussie Racing Cars have identical mechanical specification to ensure close competition and to put the emphasis on driver skill. They have a moulded body (a caricature of the vehicle on which it is based), a space-frame chassis and 1.2-litre Yamaha engine that delivers 91kW at 11,500rpm.

Todd Connolly identified two synergies with the new TRD Aurion Aussie Racing Cars and Toyota.

The first TRD Aurion Aussie Racing Car to hit the circuit has been nominated as a “guest” car that will feature different motor sport personalities at each event. It is finished in the same livery as TRD’s 2008 Targa Tasmania class-winning TRD Aurion.

Race commentator and V8 race driver Neil Crompton will debut this car at Surfer’s Paradise, with an added exterior feature. The car will have its roof painted as a bandanna to support CanTeen’s October 31 National Bandanna Day for young people living with cancer.

Todd Connolly said he hopes the car’s appearance at the Nikon Indy 300 event would help raise awareness of CanTeen’s largest annual fund-raising day, when it aimed to sell one million bandannas. There will be a hospitality area at the circuit for CanTeen families from South-East Queensland.

you got the same tyres as me.. living up here in darwin it rains a lot.. and i have found that the grip in the wet them them tyres is amazing.. they are made for the wet..

Dude it sucks i know. my car is not the same after my accident. it never will be. at least your damage bill wont be anywere near the 10g mark. They will bend all that back into shape and re-spray. At most a new door.

Is thats scratches on the rim too? ask for that to be re-sprayed or replaced.

Least you know the car can handle a little bump at speed and not spin out of control..

i have a zr6 and i have gone over 215.. im guessing the limit is 220 or more.

i got 20" on my aurion.. it is not illegal.. the handleing has gotten better but yes the ride is a bit more harder..

Also the 20" looks good.. 22 if you wanted to go full pimping. 22 will fit btw.

i scrub a little with 20" around hard corners.. thats it.. fine for everything else

Let us know how it goes, i think the K&T one has only one downfall.. its right near the engine. It might take in too much hot air, But that might be just me...
