  1. Does anyone have a standard factory left headlight for a 98 Camry? Toyota said they couldn't adjust it because the adjuster is broken. They quoted me on $280 for a new one. I really don't want to pay that much for a new headlight that needn't be new. Anyone have one with working adjusters?

  2. My 98 Camry is producing some engine noise. On initial startup (after 24 hours) when the engine runs slightly higher than 1,000 rpm, there is a metal ringing noise that sounds like something is loose. When it's all warmed up and running under 1,000 rpm it just sounds a bit rough. This was present before I had it serviced by Toyota, and they didn't seem to find anything abnormal about the engine (maybe I need to tell them what to look for <_< ). So I have a rough and ringing engine. It runs just fine while driving, quiet and smooth.

P.S. My engine is the 4cyl

  3. Well I found that Shell (regular) unleaded is about 95 octane. More than enough for that Camry's. My previous car was European, a 2000 Holden Astra (Vauxhall? Opel?) that car's engine seemed to prefer 98 octane fuel. But yeah, if you think it needs looking at, do it. I recommend Toyota because they know what to look for!

  4. Nice car that! Is it a V6 or just 4cyl? I just use Shell Unleaded in my 98 Camry, and it seems to be more than enough. My advice would be to take it to your local Toyota dealer, tell them what the prob is and they should be able to find what's wrong. My opinion is that the Camry's don't really like high octane fuels.
