WTF?
-
Two questions:
1. What do you mean you "smooshed" it and...
2. Why does the engine sit at 1,400 rpm on initial start-up?
-
You can't buy a ride like that!
-
No, I haven't tried glass polish. Does that fix/hide scratches? They're not too bad, they're from the wipers I think. Previous owner did something stupid like turn the wipers on with no rubber on them. I'll try that product, what's it called?
-
Any ideas on how much a new windscreen is? I hope to replace mine someday, because it's all scratched. Can you get them from Toyota and how much to install?
-
Wow, that's gotta be the best looking Echo I've seen!
-
It's the same story with the gen 6, but less noticeable. I'd just buy the Sportivo anyway! Well worth the extra $$$.

The phattest bro!

Man those are nice cars!

Yeah tried that. The Phillips cutout is gone (stripped) and I can't make it move, so it must be the thread on the adjuster that's damaged. Toyota managed to adjust it a bit but said that it was all they could do because the adjuster was stripped. I don't see why I can't just get a new adjuster.

Pleas delete post...

Gumby, when was that on? I remember it.

Unfortunately I'm in Adelaide, otherwise I'd take your offer. I already have the bottle, I just need them to put it in. I'm going to get it done next month. My car really needs a coolant change anyway.
-
Yeah. They didn't say the light was broken, they said the adjuster was stripped/faulty. I tried adjusting it myself after, and I think it's just the lower adjuster that's been stripped.

Ah, thankyou!

The stuff in mine is the genuine long life stuff. I think it's pink. The old overflow bottle in mine is so brittle, it's starting to crumble.

I'm not talking about D.I.Y. at all. I mean does it cost more to buy the part and THEN have it installed. Instead of just getting them to put it straight in.

Does buying Toyota parts and then having them installed cost more than just getting them put in from the service department? In other words, do they charge more for the part over the counter? Is it cheaper for the part if you just tell them to put it in?

I'll have to question them about it! The report thingy said "adjuster faulty, requires new headlight." Maybe they're just trying to get me to pay more. I think the previous owner hit something that pushed the light in slightly, stripping the adjuster.
-
I remember that show! And that little spider thing called "Drut" or something.
-
Errrrm its like $10 for the adjuster. I bought 2 myself just recently. But maybe its different for a gen4.5. :s
What so you mean you can buy the adjusters separately?? Your Camry seems to be the same bodyshap as mine, but mine is 98. All they said was that I'd need a new headlight if I wanted it to be straightened.

Wow, nice! We don't get many of them over here! The closest thing would be the Toyota Soarer.
