  1. Thanks. Thats informative. It was just a light rev for a split sec touch.
  2. Hi all, Done something careless today. when i was in park gear, i touch on the gas pedal slightly, and the engine rev abit over 2000rpm. Does that do any damage for gasing when in parked gear?
  3. I doubt they will ever get a revised gearbox. How often you see Toyota revises their drive train? or any other company?. I went to the Sydney motor show, they had a ZR on display. The quality, plastic and leather they used are very bad. It feels like a completely different car to the 07 made ones. Have they shift the production to South Africa? It really feels like one.
  4. yeh I know the blades around for quite awhile but didnt know about this TRD race version
  5. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=TzDmDTruT1k Interesting if they do build a street version and even more interesting if it reaches aus
  6. looks nice, but how do u get over speed bumps? :( I guess you scoop the speed bumps instead
  7. I think the TTS one looks the best so far. Subtle yet agreesive
  8. if you have the skills to do it you risk bubbling the window.
  9. i had mine tinted by toyota. Its one of the local tinting company they used on all their cars i think. And they do tint the small side windows.
  10. H11 Checking you user manual will be faster then waiting here.
  11. Is your A/C switched on at the time of engine start-up? There's 2 scenarios here; 1: I've seen plenty of cases where the belt isn't tensioned properly and it makes a rather short loud squeal sound on start-up (sometimes drawn out). Toyota cost-cutting is the problem here as the belt tension is done via the old manual method instead of an automatic tensioner (why Toyota?!?!?). 2: The A/C system is either undergassed or overgassed, which I suspect is your issue. This will definitely cause some strange noises such as the ones you describe. A/C for Ascent/Conquest/Levin SX is dealer fitted, and PD fitters are generally not mechanics, so they never do the job properly. I'd ask for the pressures to be checked, and check your belt tension as well. Definitely not the A/C. I always switch off everything. The mechanics i talk to on the phone thinks the driving belt wasnt adjusted properly. I'll probably take it in sometimes this week. Such a waste of time.
  12. Not sure if it's the same sound until we hear it on the spot. But it does sounds like some liquid spraying or liquid pumping noise and gradually fades out on engine warm up
  13. Hi all, I'm experience some noise recently after my 20k service. On a cold start, i can hear some pumping and liquid injecting noise coming from the engine and it goes away pretty much when the rev drops down which is about couple of seconds. Does anyone have similar experience? I called in service depart and they said its driving belt problem and it shouldn't harm. Should i take it back in asap?
  14. I acutally get better fuel consumption cruising on higher speed.
  15. Hi all, This has probably been covered before but i cant find the thread. Has anybody manage to order a remote module for your master key? just the remote module. Toyota is asking $160 for another cut key with remote module. But what i want is just to get a remote module and fit into a separate key blank with i have. Anybody have experience?
  16. I was quoted $900 for two levin zr headlights. I might just go for Ebay HID kit and see how it goes. Or leave it if for a bit until warranty runs out then do whatever I want. What car you getting? Dont tell me just cos of the lights? :) 900 for 2 ZR lights is too much...i dont think the lenses are different. Planning on a mini cooper S chilli wanted something with more performance and fun factor. but will sure get stock HID. but only planning stage....insurance price is skyrocket
  17. theres quite a few people putting HID kits on non ZR lens I dont know if the lenses materials are the same but the ZR headlight just have electric motor for auto levelling How much would a ZR headlight shell cost you? I've asked toyota that it will void the warranty on the headlights and any damaging parts resulted by the mod so the risk is yours. But it should be pretty safe for the mod unless you got a lemon. I dont plan to change my headlights anymore. Planning to change to a better car instead
  18. theres atleast 2 or 3 threads about ZRE HID. with one of them started by me.............. <_<
  19. it maybe 100kg heavier but its a lot stronger car. I've driven the last corolla and it feels really insecure. corolla aint a performance car anyway.
  20. a 3months wait to get what you wanted is better then walking into a dealer saying we dont have what you want and tries to sell you something else. Out of curiousity, how much is a ZR nowdays?
  21. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...0&start=100
  22. bringing this back from the dead. C-One has more new releases for the ZRE performance muffler at raround $570 http://c-one.jp/C-ONEPARTS/muffler.html and body kits (which is ugly) http://c-one.jp/C-ONEPARTS/auris.html got some eye lids too very JDM style
