  2. C-one have some performance and sports strut bars out already... I m pretty interested
  3. It's just toyota doign what BMW and now Mazda have done for years. A common styling factor across various models. Mazda 2,3,6 all have very similiar styling lines. BMW 1,3,5 series as well as thier 4wd's have the same treatment with similiar front ends. Personally i hate it and I don't want to buy say a corolla and people say it's a Yaris or a Camry. talk about same styling Look at Peugeot. All their series looks the same. I cant even tell the differences.
  4. The Blade Master cost $24,000au in japan. I'm sure most people here are happy for toyota to charge just below $40,000 to go against the civic typr R. But it must be an un-watered down version.
  5. I been thinking to buy one of those flip key cases. But then, it doesnt have one that fits the new rolla keys so a remote fob needs to be purchases then have to get the key cut then coded If toyota can code it for $30 then thats not too bad. But worth it for the hassle just to get a flip key?
  6. Manual or Auto? Manual Not a bad price with a moonroof. I wonder how much an Auto one cost now.
  7. 07 Corolla Levin SX Auto Shell Unleaded Avg 8L/100km Mostly city & highway driving with lots of annoying light stops
  8. Tofuboi~~~~~~~~~~~ Got a question for you. Could you be still able to use the controls on the steering after changing to the navigation unit you had or any other unit?? Thanks
  9. i m suprise this thread is still active after 12 hours.. haha I dont really get why people takes out their cat and muffler for that bloody noise where the car in fact is crawling on the road. I perfer performance in slience.
  10. Just a question about the headlight shell and projector lens for levin ZR and other grades. Are they the same or different for the ones with HID and halogen?
  11. well, i need my boot space to carry stuff. I dont like to use backseats. But what ever works for you. I would just rather spent the money on improving ride quality or performance then sound systems.
  12. i dont really see a point of installing subs and speakers in a car. You can never get the true sound of the speaker in the car, you lose boot space, and you get massive rattle that mite rip your car apart in the long run. And with the money you pay, i rather get a home system. Not to mention how many hours do you actually spent in your car per day???
  13. for the hatch, its all about taste. People in aust might not like it. But its very popular elsewheres.
  14. isnt the toyota moonroof a slide in hidden one and only cost 1500?? or is there something wrong with the toyota one??
  15. woh You guys have long trips I only clock about 200km a week
  16. I m also wondering are the headlight case, projectors are the same as the levin ZR.
  17. Hi all, Gotta ask this, but has anyone fitted HID on there ZRE? Will any mods required? Will the halogen projector fit the HID kit?? Any possible damage to parts? And warranty? Thanks
  18. The thing with racing suspension are they are tuned for a really hard ride for more downforce and stability in cornering. And they are use for tracks which are evenly smooth. With the aus roads. Its a hell ride.
  19. Strangely, you dont feel the 1300kg weight when u accel with the corolla. Try drive an A3. Thats pretty damn heavy that it wouldnt even move between the 2000rpm Yeah that is true. It takes off quite nicely, probably cuz of the new clutch and gearbox or something. But you do feel the effect of the weight during cornering quite considerably. The signature corolla body roll. Haha. would a strut bar help?
  20. Woh, thats a pretty good price. Manual Trans? Did u get the hail fix? No not yet. It is very hard to notice because of the very light colour (Shimmer). I plan to put a sun-roof soon anyway so it should fix about 80% of the damage. The damage was very minor, so I probably will not get it fixed unless I have to. Yes it is a stick shift. Here are some pics!!! (sorry, about the angles, was only testing the camera at that time) Its still a very nice score at that price. Yeah by chance we went to the right place at the right time!. Would never have bought one if it was normal price. I believe the extra costs does not justify enough the extras on the ZRs. Its just too pricey and out of my budget at the time i brought the car. So went for an SX. I'love to have the extras of ZR though although there are no performance gain. Absolutely. If I was to choose b/w SX and ZR, I would have picked SX simply because there is more value per dollar in it. If only Toyota were a little bit more sympathetic:P. They could have put sports suspension, VVTi-L (High profile CAMs) etc. You know, something that will make the LEVIN really stand out. After all, the term LEVIN is suppose to be the performance trademark of the classic Corollas. SX, ZR, Conquest, Ascent - to me its all the same. Running costs are quite low relative to other cars within the market segment; fuel, insurance, servicing, and do not forget the good resale value too. You can never go wrong with Corollas. Manny somethign like the Levin ZR are only sold in japan for $22000 or something like that minus the skirts. Look at the Blade with 3.5L v6 which kicks out 206kw. Its only $32000 equivilant. Anything comes into aus get water down
