  1. Not sure about your maps dvd issue but you can access the light bulb by removing the carpet from the boot lid, just gently pry the clips that hold the carpet and you should be able to reach in there. The bulb holder has to be twisted and pulled. Hopefully that makes sense. EDIT: Oh just noticed you said lenses not bulbs. I guess they will be accessed the same way though haha
  2. It is a common issue with the 2azfe engine, nothing to worry about
  3. You will lose your original yes but you will be able to reprogram it no problem. The keys will work fine just the remote will have to be redone. I've done it before and there was no issue getting them all working again. I was a bit cautious before I reset mine too because I didn't want to be stuck without one lol.
  4. I think that means the cars memory is full and will need to be cleared which will remove all programmed remotes. 1. Drivers door open to begin with and the other doors closed 2. Inset key into ignition and remove it twice (dont turn) 3. Close and open the door twice 4. Insert key into ignition and remove it once (dont turn) 5. Close and open the door twice 6. Insert key into ignition (dont turn) 7. Close the door 8. Turn the key to the 'ON' position for 2 seconds then back off 9. Repeat step 8 another 4 times (5 times in total) 10. Remove the key and the door will lock and unlock 5 times All remotes are now deleted and will need to be reprogrammed
  5. Seems to be a fairly common issue, I had it in my old camry. gives you the gist of how to fix it by resoldering. worked for me
  6. Not sure if this will be useful still but for the trip computer you can resolder the contacts on the backside of it. I was a bit skeptical at first but it worked on my 2002 4cyl manual sportivo. Cant really give you specifics since it escapes my memory but it was definitely a DIY fix.
  7. Turned out the weathershields Tony linked was really close to me so I went and picked some up today. They feel really good quality have a metal hook on the fronts that tuck into the door(not sure if thats a standard feature with weathershields or not) and fit really well. They suppled extra glue which can be used in addition to the 3M strips but I didn't bother. In hindsight I should've washed the car first as they need some time to set apparently. They look decent, put a few pictures incase anybody else was after some too.
  8. I'll have a fiddle around with the buttons see if anything works. Thanks for the weathershield recommendation Tony, much appreciated.
  9. Is there any way to reset this? I know it resets when you refuel but is there a way to manually do it? I changed the front rotors and pads(DBA T2 - Recommend them so far) yesterday and it reset my L/100km. Is that due to the fuel level changing in the tank due to being jacked up? Thanks EDIT: Also to hijack the topic anybody aware of any decent weathershields? I can only find ebay specials which Im not sure of and the genuine ones I can only find for the front and id like a full set.
  10. Did they cover the cost or was it out of pocket? It's nice to know they're still replacing the part either way. I'm lucky in a sense that my 2007 had an engine replacement before I bought it and the new engine came out of a 2010 so the vvti and cooler pipes were already the metal ones. Come to think of it the old engine probably died due to the faulty hose lol.
  11. I have a 2007 so I'm not sure if they're the same but these are the ones I got from Stedi. High Beam: HB3 Low Beam & Fog: H11 Don't remember about indicators and side lights but I picked up some LED ones from SCA. If I remember correctly the back/brake lights are integrated with the light housing itself so they cannot be upgraded. Regarding indicators the 'relay' thing messes up after a few minutes of indicators being on and flashes quickly otherwise they work fine, If you want to upgrade that it's located behind the dash cluster. Added screenshot of my Stedi order incase that helps at all, I do recommend them they are great products and even better customer support. I had a fog light prematurely blow and they sent me another no fuss.
  12. To follow the trend I was quoted $440 for a brand new RH shaft and fitting at a local garage. Probably going to do myself though - Seems easy enough, about 3 bolts and some maneuvering from what I've seen.
  13. Unrelated to this post but Tony the bottom left of this photo is another angle of the photo from the "Whats this" thread.
  14. I don't know how that part functions but mine is bone dry so I don't think it's considered normal.
  15. I changed my fog lights on my Aurion to Stedi LED's, They're too bright to have on all the time for oncoming drivers since they're not focused like the headlights. If I was to do it again I'd probably just upgrade the bulb to a whiter light halogen or a more dull LED. Your Camry is looking nice!
  16. I've not heard mine beep before, you can sometimes hear the mechanical sound of it priming if you listen for it though.
  17. Nicely done mate, looks great. Did you just rattle can it? either way I like it.
  18. Just to update, I looked into the STEDI bulbs as you recommended. I caught the H11's in stock and ordered them, swiftly out of stock again so hopefully they will turn up. I ordered the H11 projector bulbs, HB3 copperheads for highbeam and the H11 foglight replacement bulbs. Only bulbs that dont have replacements now are the reverse lights i believe. Thanks again
  19. Did the car come with the property? Also any photos of this gem? I'm not looking to buy but I am very curious about it.
  20. Thanks for the insight, There was some from Supercheap I was looking at but il have a browse on Powerbulbs too to compare. Nice to know they are essentially plug & play. EDIT: In your opinion is it also worth upgrading the HB3 high beams?
  21. Sorry to necro this thread but what is the conventional wisdom on highlight bulb upgrades? I've read that LED arent great with projector lights but im still tempted to try. Anybody have first hand experience with upgrades, any recommendations? Cheers
