  1. man everyone keeps saying search search search. Not attacking you personally Legend888 but just a comment to the general users of this forum. People ask questions in the forum and when someone tells them to search it doesn't really help them. This forum is going to be dead with no one posting if a person is going to be told to search whenever they ask a question. By the time people has typed up "go search..." maybe they could have searched up something to help out. I don't know about you, but I would feel like there is no point posting if people say search. I know a lot of people who do not return to this forum because there isn't an active discussion.
  2. The whole exhaust is selling for $300NZD. How much would it be for a workshop to chop off the tube at the near the cat, mendrel bend the end near the muffler and chop off some tube of the muffler? Would that add up to the same as buying a custom exhaust? Stainless steel systems add up to a grand. And the other thing is that the custom shops down here use xracing and xforce mufflers with their custom systems. Am I right to assume that Kakimoto makes better muffler than other local nz brands?
  3. When you say 2.5" system, do you mean it is 2.5" internal diameter?
  4. Here are some pics to compare with the CES exhaust system. (Pics taken from post by Guni! Thank you)
  5. Hey guys, Ok here is the deal.My friend is selling his Kakimoto stainless steel exhaust system which came off a 2004 lancer cedia ralliart edition. The shape looks like it would fit the corolla sportivo with some modifications to the hangers. All dimensions that I am mentioning are the measurements of the internal diameter. The flange diameter after the cat is 5.7cm (2.25"), it is smaller at the flange and then increases in size. The flange diameter before the muffler is 6.5cm (2.5") The flange diameter at the muffler is 6.5cm (2.5") The muffler is 11.2cm (4.5") I am guessing that the tube size of the exhaust system is 7cm considering that it is the size that Japanese brands usually follow. So from everyone here saying that 2.5" exhaust system is the way to go. Should I purchase this? he is offering it at an extremely low price. Is it too big for our corolla? Does it look like the fitting won't work on our car? (or can it even be modified?)
  6. this is the other part number found on the inside of the adjustables # 00b 602 w10as 06 04 Does not match up with anything. Np part numbers on the springs except for Ti2000. ><
  7. I had a good check and they aren't leaking at all. It would be good that they are zero 2s. The tein super wagons are so bouncy.
  8. Hey guys, I just got my hands on a set of cheap suspensions which resembled a lot like the cusco zero 2s but the faint model number on them says 166 602...(can't see the last 3 digits) The cusco zero 2 part number should be 166 60L CN. The springs were changed to Rs*r Ti2000 as well. The number of coils on them is significantly less that the springs that usually comes with the suspension. Here are some pics Here is a picture of the cusco zero 2 taken from northy's page So any ideas here? With the newer springs, would the ride be harder?
  9. There are cheaper places to get them. Like here The guy said they don't fit under 15" . I might have to get rid of my wheels first and then look at this option. Anyone got any idea how much modification needs to be done to get them ST205 brakes onto our cars?
  10. Hey I was searching around and saw this corolla It is using ST205 4 piston brake calipers!!! ブレーキキャリパー セリカST205用 4ポットビッグキャリパー I can read Japanese btw. Maybe this would be a better option...
  11. Lol. All good. I see that theres more than one person benefitting out of this caliper mystery when MR22ZZ sorts this out for us.
  12. All these talk of getting bigger discs..I'm trying to fit all these under my 15". Hey MR22ZZ thanks for putting your calipers up to check on the fitting. And thanks to Suprathai for volunteering to check them out. Cheers.
  13. +1 Me too....haha..I could so much more with $150
  14. Yeah suprathai turned down that option. This is what he said "The ST202 calipers won't fit the current disc size of the rotors that you have on your sportivo, as the caliper mounting points/legs are not long enough" I hope you don't mind me quoting your words, Suprathai.
  15. I thought that the non-superstrut ae101 uses 255mm disc brakes and only single piston caliper. While the superstrut ae101 uses 275mm diameter and 25mm thick thick disc and 54mm centre hole. Its here
  16. Hey guys, An opportunity has come up to buy a pair of ae101 twin piston calipers. There were 2 or 3 posts that mentioned that they would work but no follow-ups were posted. Initially I was looking at getting ST202 twin piston calipers but Suprathai sorted it out and said that they do not work on our corolla. I have pmed several members on this forum but still waiting for their replies. I thought I might post it up as it would be helpful for anyone who would attempt this in the future. So has anyone here tried ae101 superstrut calipers on their sportivos or even know if they will bolt on? Cheers
  17. I'm not too sure yet ey. Do you have anyplace lined up for your install? I dunno if I want to get the LSD ey. Too worried about breaking 6th unless they know how to do it properly. Plus the cost is way out of my budget. The mwr flywheel looks so light and its chromoly as well. Looks like a stripped down C-one type r flywheel. I ordered a hondata gasket like the one you got there too. Matt_glad on this forum helped me port my exhaust manifold and he told me to get the hondata gasket and port/clean up my intake manifold as well. BTW if you do get the LSD then you better factor in all the things that Doriae86 mentioned in the other thread. It really adds up. But is it worth it? I am yet to find out myself. also waiting on Doriae86 too. Looks like its flywheel season of the year. Doriae86 see what you are missing out :P
  18. The c-one type r flywheel looks damn nice! It was $200 more than the Jun one. There was no one I was going to fork over 200 for .4kg Doriae86 I am waiting for you to initiate your LSD install lol I am still waiting for flywheel. I found that the car takes quite a long time to get to the high revs which is why I decided to get a flywheel. And because my friend told me that all honda type r get lightened chromoly flywheel stock with the car so I would be losing out if I didn't have one too.
  19. Yeah some pics would be good! I don't think anyone in this forum has used the Jun flywheel and no one has posted a picture of how it looks like. The other one I have seen is C-one which is more silver is colour with more holes in them. Once I get them baby installed I will let everyone know if I hate them or love them. Thanks for your comments guys!
  20. Hey guys, Just wanted to share with everyone my latest addition, My lightweight Jun Flywheel. It weighs 4.4KG. I will be installing it along with my LSD but still waiting on Clutch. Here are some pics.
  21. hi let me know if ur keen on stuff coz i think ur the only other nz member with this car email me - teampoizen@hotmail.com Im also a nz member with zze123!
  22. Yeah you can. The toyota bolts are not reusable so once you take them out they are pretty much gone. I don't think that I would be taking out the flywheel out after changing it anyway so Toyota ones should be fine. I just got ARP ones because my friend told me its better to get them. Which clutch kit are you looking at?
  23. I bought arp flywheel bolts and energy motor mount inserts to put in with the install as well. Thought I might as well put them in. I hate how the corolla handles when I accelerate with the wheels turned. Whoever puts their LSD in can confirm the whole procedure ;D
  24. Haha that was how I felt too. I got the LSD first and then realized that it wasn't the end of the shopping list. I think you got your LSD from ebay right?
  25. I remember reading that it is only easy to break if mileage is quite high. Its adding up isn't it?
