  1. Heres the part number of the flywheel 2001M-T025 Its 4.4kg chromoly and only cost me $650 NZD. the link is http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/drive-tr...l/index.html?en The xtreme clutch kit is the same one we talked about in the other thread. : D Cheers. You mean this extreme clutch ??? That's by ACS which is made by Daikin who also makes Exedy that breaks ........... I would re-consider that ..... But that's me. If you really to, try eBay for 275 + delivery. This is the xtreme clutch I am getting. KTY22004HD http://www.xtremeclutch.com.au/ Its only going to cost me $300 NZD. They break often? Which ebay one are you referring to?
  2. Any pics or links to your JUN lightweight flywheel or Xtreme heavy duty clutch ?? Why would you need to change the speedo gear? Heres the part number of the flywheel 2001M-T025 Its 4.4kg chromoly and only cost me $650 NZD. the link is http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/drive-tr...l/index.html?en The xtreme clutch kit is the same one we talked about in the other thread. : D
  3. the part number is speedometer gear: 33481-20160 I checked with toyota before and its quite expensive. Around $200 NZD for one. From what I read from other forums, you can install the LSD without breaking the 6th gear and you don't need the special equipment that everyone is referring in this forum. There is a particular way of dissembling the transmission. And if your mileage is not high then you can reuse your speedometer gear as well. I have my LSD lying around and waiting for JUN lightweight flywheel to come with my Xtreme heavy duty clutch. I ordered the LSD install kit from MWR as well and bought 3 Redline MT90 gearbox oil too. This is going to be an expensive modification if you have to buy the 6th gear and the speedometer gear.
  4. You do realise you just quoted the same part number so technically, he is right. They are excatly the same. ACS is an alternative to Exedy and a cheaper one at that. People in the industry have informed me that they come off the same production line anyway which is made by Daikin. And as always, happy to be corrected if its otherwise. :) Hey Guni You are right i did repeat the same part number. I was supposed to write TYK-6932HD like that you have mentioned in your emails. So it seems that the Exedy one has two different clutch kits for the 1zz-fe and the 2zz-ge. But extreme clutch's KTY22004HD would be good for 2zz-ge? I just checked xtreme's website and they have the KTY22014HD which is for the 2zz-ge celica. Did you check that out?
  5. Hey guys, Some guy is selling a clutch kit on trademe and I asked him for the kit that suits out zze123 2zz-ge and he kept saying that the TYK-6932 is the same as TYK-7334HD. On the stickied parts list is says that clutch kit is for the zze122. So I was wondering if anyone here can confirm that it is the same. heres the link. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=220198943 Cheers guys *EDITED*
  6. Neither of the above because if you would have looked at my other thread, I upgraded all of those. Only the rear rotors are stock. Having said that, I meant that my rears sway left to right like its about to over steer (kick out) whenever I brake hard at speeds. Not that violent or obvious else I would have spun but eveident enough for me to feel it. I suspect its got to do with my extra bars but still trying to find the right mix though ..... What extra bars do you have besides fro the rear sway?
  7. I bought myself a second hand toyota LSD 2 days ago hehe So I guess its in the "doing" stage. Also have the Jun flywheel ordered already too. Will post up pictures tmr.
  8. Hey I was checking on other forums and they mentioned that the 6th gear does not have to be broken. They only replaced the speedo, seals and bearings.
  9. EHy do you know whats the part number for the 2 axles seals and the 2 Carrier bearings ? There are two LSD up for sale in eBay guys! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-Toyota-...A1%7C240%3A1318 Theres something on top of it. Any idea guys? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TRD-Helical...A1%7C240%3A1318
  10. I have heard some quality issues with the OBX ones. But most of them are with honda installations. Do some research on it before buying this brand..
  11. I almost forgot that I saved the photos for those who was not able to open the site Anyone drooling yet?
  12. this is the from the mwr site This is the helical limited slip differential that is available in the Japanese market (JDM) Toyota Celica and 03+ Mr2 Spyder. It fits: 00-05 MR2 Spyder 5-spd and SMT 00-05 Toyota Celica GT and GTS 5- and 6-spd 03-08 Toyota Corolla 5- and 6-spd 03-08 Matrix/Vibe 5- and 6-spd Lotus Elise and Exige 2ZZ - All I guess there is no point crying over spilt milk.
  13. damn...did it look like a good buy though? Definitely cheaper than mwr ><
  14. LSD ON EBAY http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...T&viewitem= Should I BUY it???? Looks so good
  15. Might want to replace the taper differential bearings and axle seals but if you are leaving it to Toyota to install, they should be able to fix it all up. Do you happen to have the part number for that? Is that the Monkeywrench Toyota LSD install kit which includes two taper differential bearings and two axle seals? So I should be buying this kit if I was to buy any LSD right?
  16. I personally would go for the CES and I am in New Zealand. From the experiences of people who has used them, the good gains, the nice sound and quality, I think thats enough for me. I have tried to cut corners enough to know that trying to go for the cheap will just end up with more money spent. you can still go for other workshops and let them make you another one for half the price and not know what gains to expect. Or go for CES and know exactly what you have actually gained. Thats my 2cents.
  17. if you could inform us of what car you have... say... take a picture, and post her up :P do you have the big bold-looking headlights or do you have the teardrop looking headlights? Evo Hey Evo, I have the tear drop headlights http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=21200
  18. I am planning to keep everything NA. I thought I had exhausted the TRD list but then I saw that there were TRD pistons which were cheaper than the wiesco or mahle ones, but they were higher compression. I believe NZ and Aus share the same petrol supply chain and so it would be fairly the same. So if the pistons are too high compression for 98ron then the Japanese are running 100ron aren't they :(
  19. I wont be buying the lip since it won't fit. The seller has posted these up for sale. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=215463942 Go for it if you guys are interested but I don't know if he will ship to aus. This is his email signalMC@xtra.co.nz and his name is nigel Sweet! Thanks for everyone's help I deeply appreciate it.
  20. Hey guys, I looked around the forum but couldn't find anything on pistons. Hopefully everyone can chip in and pass their knowledge to me. I was looking at these TRD pistons and thei have a high compression of 13.0 http://trdparts.jp/english/parts_engine-2zz-ge.html Will 98RON be good enough these bad boys ? cheers guys
  21. I just got a quote for the Toyota LSD today from my local Toyota dealers and got quoted $3800NZD!!! That is just wacked. How can monkey wrench sell Toyota products cheaper than toyota dealer themselves?
  22. This is AWESOME. You are truly great SD. Going to save up for Power FC now!
  23. UPDATE Just got some pictures emailed to me today from the seller. Looks like the kit is for the pre-face lift. It is one piece I guess. Would this still fit the face lift?
