well im here now... good morning all... how are we this morning? i'm going to be on and off all day studying and playing 360...

ok i joined up for silver membership becuase i spend a fair bit of time here... and everything i know about my car (except that its a 1.8L 4 cylinder engine and has 4 wheels) has been learnt from here... i learnt how to take my dash apart first, then i learned what sort of wheels look good by checking the galleries, then i found out what sort of springs to buy and how they looked, then i found my springs on here, and i also found my headers on here... thats only a tiny bit of what i've learned and the entertainment ive had... now thats WAAYYY more than $40 of usefulness right there... i've made great friends on here (not that i buy friends or anything, but thats worth more than $40 in itself...) annyyyway... its not about silver membership... i like the idea of being a registered club, but there is ALOT to work around first (all mentioned above)... if we're serious about it, then we can get around all these things... i can get a banner made up cheap by my mate's dad if we decided to go ahead with it, and id be more than happy to look after some administrative stuff... but are we serious? it doesnt seem that we have enough active members to make a registered club... there are fees and admin costs involved then, and if we cant convince enough people to join up (as a member with a rego fee), then if we dont cover our costs, then someone is going to have to be out of pocket.. if we're serious about it, ill support it every step of the way.

i think he's been pretty flat out at work... anyway thanks charms and bec for coming out and cheering us on! we can't hear you from the start line, but its nice to know someone is watching :P

ill upload my video footage tomorrow... just got a run of jase, his mate, dylan and bill each...

that was my first time at the drags... bill has raced before... i got that time on my 2nd ever pass, after a 16.040 for my first run... hopefully next time i'll be able to improve my 60' time and break the record again :P but for now we'll let bill bask in the glory... i got 4 runs in the night - my 3rd was 16.045, and my 4th was a lousy something (i cant even find the slip for that one)... 16.4 or something... anyway... an awesome night :D congratulations again bill - im slightly jealous and p!ssed off, but you deserve that time - a PERFECT launch!

yeah good on ya mish! im sure if you're there on time, you will be able to just jump out of the car and meet whoever else is there or turns up after you... the radios arent a big deal... just makes it easy if someone is lost and wants to find us... you have mobile numbers, so use them if you have to...

to be honest, im happy to let the current mods hold their positions.. i at least think its time to vote some NEW people in, whether that means everyone starting from scratch, and the current mods have to get enough votes to stay in, or it means the current moderators staying and people getting added to the team... either way it doesnt worry me...

ok that was a mad night... i loved every second... next time, if you're THINKING about coming... then come along... its nerve racking when you line up, but once you're out there, the adreniline takes over... and oh man... it was awesome... begun with a run each from me and dylan... i cracked 16.040, which i was stoked about... then we had a second run and i got my 15.895, which i was also stoked about... then i gave bill his helmet back and he had some runs... jase and his mate turned up and had a couple of runs... then i got 2 more in at the end with bill, with dylan's helmet... in the last minutes of the night, bill and i had our last run... i lost traction and had a crap run... bill (and im talking about syxxpac bill, not xoom bill), had what was pretty much the perfect run... an awesome 60 foot time, followed by a beautiful 1/4 mile time... (check the new 1zz record thread, when he posts up his slip)... thanks to those who let me borrow their helmets and store things in their vehicles... i had an awesome night... lets do it again soon! :D :D :D

OK timeslip as promised... my time is the one in the square... I was racing against Dylan in that race too... but he didnt do very well :( ok hang on i have to make it smaller... it was 15.895 :) that should do it...

i just found out im working till 6... let us all hope there are no cops between my house and the drive in... ill be coming in hot! actually not really... ill be there by 6.30 easily...

excellent news! :D saves me having to find them... now... to find a helmet... my car soooo isnt ready for this though! ive been running crap fuel! and im empty... is it worth putting 1/4 tank of premium in and hoping thats enough to give me a bit of extra engine happiness? how bout an ECU reset? is it too late for that? i gotta clean out my car... i can probably lose about 20 kilos of rubbish in my car! weight reduction ;) ... ergh... helmet, anyone?

hahaha all this talk about eggs... it would almost make me want to eat one... but i cant be bothered...

30 mins into the swiss/france game... no score... its not a bad game though so far... pretty entertaining play...

i doubt our cars will be picked if there's going to be all the ricers out there... :P but don't do anything stupid and the cops wont go for you... ill be there before 6.30, waiting...

haha... well the hour draws nearer... wonder who'll ill be up against... anyone fancy racing me if we get a choice? ill be crap at least for my first few runs. i've never been to the drags before and i've never practised launches... hopefully by the end i'll have sorted myself out and maybe i can pull a good time ;)

alright ill be there at 6.30!! :D should be fun :)

what i wanna know is why pete hasnt become a silver yet?!
