i already have pre-release photos of the vehicles, also this is whats confirmed so far.
- the corolla hatch and the sedan will be 2 totally different vehicles, like the yaris hatch and sedan.
- there will no longer be an ascent sport, it will be an ascent with a spoiler and alloys package like the camry.
- strong possibility of the levin hatch having an SX and ZR grade like the aurion.
- no official word of a TRD version, but we all know its coming.
- price will increase, predict from $21,990
will know more by wednesday.
oh and the best perk is a corolla as a drive car when it is released.
cheers,
melvin

Toyota Motor Corp Australia are finally starting their pre-launch campaign for the new Corolla. I'm not sure what the other states are doing, but all the dealerships in WA must nominate a salesperson to be "Corolla Champion". All champions will go to extra training sessions in preparation for the may launch. I have had the great honor of being Prosser Toyota's Corolla Champion, and my first meeting with Toyota is this Wednesday morning. I'm not sure what is involved, but I will be sure to share what info I have been given.
Will keep you guys posted, I don't know about anyone else, but this is the most exciting launch this year for me.

4.5L V8 intercooled turbo diesel, will have at least 150 kw, predicted to have better fuel economy than what we did have

i work for prosser toyota in perth, if anyone wants specs on the new V6 tarago, pm me

well i've done a few, no really consistent results, except that they all killed me in first gear, usually bout a car length after 1/4 mile roughly, the sp23 would probably start clawing back after that. but the closest one was an sp23 with an exhaust (that i could see) and he jumped like half a length in front with first gear (my fault) after that acceleration was the same, but i'd cut back a quarter length every gear shift, bad driver? better gearbox? better clutch? but either way, was a close one
-
hey add me to the sp23 killed list, the're not as tough as they make themselves seem
-
-
save up more and get them all! but i'd go for the rims and springs
-
yeh what everyones saying makes sense, lighter = less inertia = revs drop faster, but lighter = revs climb faster, i've always wondered why the TRD flywheel wasn't the lightest around, i guess thats the "optimal" weight. but it also seems that a better clutch is the perfect partner for the flywheel, to cut back on those revs you'll drop
-
well thanks to this thread, today at the lights i was just eyeing my rpms, and yeh it sits at 750, but no shaking or anything, not sure what that means, btw i've got a 03 ascent
-
is this for ALL acsents? for the boys with the idle problem, what year did you get your car? maybe we can narrow it down to a time range, if it's not ALL of them. But i don't seem to have any problem with mine
-
-
don't forget the best alarm system money can buy! :P
-
mine was $150, but that was because i knew someone who does it
-
i was talking about the antenna haha :D not that car, but yeh, i don't like the car either, mini mini van....
-
haha its got nothing to do with laziness, because u still got to put the key in afterwards, otherwise the car dies. It's just a rice thing :P
-
yeh gold badges, and pinstripe would be awesome, maybe get a little rice and get yellow neons behind the grill too
-
i guess it depends on if ur gonna fully do up the system later, if so maybe just go for a cheap amp and sub package, possibly an alpine S or R sub and then go all out next time, or u can go MTX jackhammer!!! pimp my ride style :P
Arent Alpine Type R very expensive?? but i heard they are very good..
The jack hammer is just crazy.... :P
erm i guess it depends on what u think is expensive, they came out with a new version of the R and S about 1 or 2 years ago, replacing the ones off 'fast and furious' so maybe u can get them pretty cheap, a friend of mine bought his just before the new ones came out, and they're still pretty good, can't remember how much though
-
yeh thats what i figured, so i was hoping to keep a full working immobiliser and remote start, guess not eh, thanks guys
-
well in WA its 100% illegal, if that helps, best way to go if u want nice lights to get a HID kit, they look legal, but cops will pick on you for blue lights
-
velcro is a good idea if u really don't want to drill the floor, but i would drill it down somewhere, i've had lots a friends have their amps ripped out of their cars when they we're bolted, imagine if they we're just velcro'd. but what one of them did was get a wood frame and mounted it upside down to the bottom of the passenger seat.

alright, i'll ask for you. might create an awkward silence within the meeting though. i'm hoping to get a touch and feel of the corolla, already did one on the V6 tarago *fingers crossed*
