  1. 1. & 2. Looking at around 200-300 per a good set of lights, fitting wouldn't be too much, but im sure you can find or make a friend that can help, its not hard.

    3. yes you can use hid for the fogs too

    4. everyones been though it, but basically no they are not legal on your car, doesn't stop us though, i have a pair. reason is that the glare from the lense will blind others, the euros have auto cleaning/auto height adjusting units. I aimed mine lower to help the glare problem, but their still hugely bright.

    5. only the new 07 corollas have hid as an options from factory in australia

    6. mounting the ballast is the longest bit, if your using a battery harness maybe another 20 minutes or so to run it, but less than an hour all up in the hardest cases. (my ballast had the tendency to ground themselves :( so i had to cover it in tape)

if ya search theres way more info floating around

  2. oh man just did this today, i used some bulbs i had lying around, but their friggen huge, ended up cutting the whole face just to get the bulb in

    tip: buy small bulbs :P

write up helped me alot, thanks! i was about to do it with the lights still on the car, lucky i took them off, took me about 2 hours too

  3. I did it myself

    Here goes:

They came unpainted so I had to sand it down, and prime it, 3 layers of primer and alot of sanding!

Then 2 layers of some Random Red I found at home, couldnt be bothered leaving the hosue

It's Centre Red, turned out to match the colour of my car pretty well, i would of done more layers but i ran out of paint.

Last came 3 clear coats with sanding in between to get a smooth finish, pretty happy with it, just got annoyed i was doing it outside so dust and glass did fall onto them. You can see that i did one better than the other...

Mounting tape, this stuff is actually pretty strong!

Use a rough sandpaper when its raw to smooth it out, but before you prime it swtich to a finer one, give it a wet sand with some really fine paper between coats.

try to do it when airtemps are not so cold, the paint comes out more even

i did this when i was sick at home one day, turned out pretty good, i would of left it as is, but had a little bump a few days later and the panel beaters repainted it for me

  4. true true

how bout we plan a path with a few stops? might drag on abit to around 7-8? but this lets people meet and go when they need to

ie. meet at around 2pm kick back say hi

then between 3 to 4 head off towards yarrabend stop for a photo op at one of the very steep carparks

then at the end of yarrabend jump onto the eastern and take it the full way onto eastlink, maybe some stops on the way?

    after that whatever

  5. i got my aftermarket pre-facelift set of foglights from eBay and got them installed during the week,

all in all, very happy with the result.. Just one negative though, the in dash switch that came with the kit is always illuminated. Day and night. anyone know the reason for this ?

    anyways, here is the link, seller's name is Nick;

*will edit and include fotos soon

    yURI

the swtich is probably running off the ignition not the parkers

post up how you wired it and im sure we can sort it out

  6. might i suggest you organise a date with the place, somewhere around 2 months ahead.

then post it up and get people to come

but talk to the place hosting it and let them know that you will onlly come if have numbers, im sure they'll be fine with it seeing as its a weekend.

its easier that way rather than trying to get a date to fit everyone, its not the end of the world if you miss out.
