I want to get an ECU - which one should i get ? Power FC :D

Will my corolla beat a DC2 Type-R ? No, trust me, I use to own one. Only area it beats the dc2r is comfort

Can FWD be competative in drift comps ?

Who has the fastest 2zz-ge ? Xoom :P

  2. no, bonnet won't fit

    i still have my st162

    blown up a gen2 3sgte twice

personally i like the shape of the 162 better over the 185

but the 205 is just sexy with the right mods

remember that the 205 is more powerful, more refined and newer, i must stress, its newer

Ouch blown up twice.. how? Bet its those freaking bearings i know a few people to have probs with them. I have already had my 3sge pulled apart and rebuilt to last a bit longer. new valve spings, Pistons, Cams ect ect, Not cheap but reliable isn't cheap.

    spot on dude :)

Zoran: can't wait! got a sticker set coming too? ;)

  3. pretty sure 183 is the convertible

the 3sge never saw light here again in n/a form after the st162

only imported 182's and 202's (and the verts) have the 3sge

    gt4rc, yes

with gt-fours, start off with intake and full exhaust, up the boost (need to disable the vsv and careful boost cut hits at 12 pounds)

if you have a n/a one, then look at headers and cai

throw up a photo, then we can help you out more :)

  5. Personally I would get the 205, looks better in my opinion, newer, nicer interior, less common, and if your get a group a :D :D :D

the 185 is getting old and showing its age, hard to find one in really good nick too

but just remember, 3sgte = $$$$$ in both maintenance and mods

  6. narh, its toyota sport

they get the 2 door models though

the other is tsport compressor, the supercharged one >.<

best to go through an importer, part numbers can be found lying around the site

    pretty sure they'll fit

    where was your car manufactured?

  7. these things have a chipped key, i use to have one too

either his not running a stock ecu or they towed it....

sucks balls, hope it turns up somewhere, payout just doesnt feel the same

If you were doing it to a Corolla you could bring your own key, ECU, ignition barrel and receiver. With the ECU mounted where it is, 10 mins work and you might be out of there with a whole new car if nobody is around to ask questions. Could the Hondas be similar? Maybe even simpler - just ECU and key. Definitely could be something organised as stated above. Monitoring the driver closely, taking notes on times etc... Such a low act stealing someone's pride and joy like that. Hopefully Steve's suggestion is wrong and it's not in pieces in 100 Mt Druitt garages by now.

that actually makes heaps of sense, but can it really be that easy?

  8. to my knowledge there are no 2zz rear wheel cars (north-south)

is this the older starlet that came rwd? the one that looks like a cardboard box?

maybe look around for any cars that might have a 1zz in rwd layout, i can't think of any

in the end, you might need to go custom, theres bound to be something that isn't too far off
