Are the West Australians still able to register modern cars as left hook? Thus not requiring the conversion. i just saw two old school chevrolets this morning. both LHD with rego plates so maybe we can. but they surely must at least replace the headlights for RHD
There was a recall to replace the funnel in the older corolla sportivos...
And about removing stuff. I dont do it but i see it as the poor mans research and development... Trial and error :D
our facelifts use H7 bulbs. Cheers Ahh cool. Whats the difference between H7 and 9006? cause according to http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/A...eplacementGuide 2005 TOYOTA Corolla Low beam headlamp 9006 9006SU Silverstar ULTRA for Ultra Night Vision - The Whitest and Brightest Halogen 9006ST Silverstar High Performance Lighting: The Whiter and Brighter Halogen 9006EB EcoBright - Your Environmental Choice 9006XV XtraVision Halogen - The Brighter Light 9006CB Cool Blue Halogen - The Whiter Light High beam headlamp 9005 9005SU Silverstar ULTRA for Ultra Night Vision - The Whitest and Brightest Halogen 9005ST Silverstar High Performance Lighting: The Whiter and Brighter Halogen 9005EB EcoBright - Your Environmental Choice 9005XV XtraVision Halogen - The Brighter Light 9005CB Cool Blue Halogen - The Whiter Light h7 and 9006 are different sylvania is an american company i believe...so they might be referring to the american corollas (they have different headlights).
after some heavy rain, one headlight had minor condensation so will reseal them along with leveling the projector.
still using the halogen bulbs but visibility is good as stock and its a pleasure to drive at night especially around white cars... :D
are the low beam lights bulbs h11 for aurion and camry? you can try brighter h11. or if you can confirm that a h9 filament is in the SAME position as the h11... you can try modifying a h9 light bulb to fit the h11 socket (DIY http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=119161). h9 creates more lumens than h11 [2100 lumens (H9) as opposed to 1200 lumens (H11) according to Ken33f]
Speedz... read DJKOR's post "Yeah Speedz, they are illegal. I am with Colonel on this one. Just because you managed to get away with it, doesn't necessarily mean it's alright. It's like saying speeding is alright because I haven't been caught."
from this picture it makes sense now. there was originally a shield covering the cat screwed on to that metal plate but since the new tube is larger the bracket that wraps around the tube wouldn't fit
i recently got a sportivo catback installed on my auto rolla. i havent driven enough for the ecu to adjust but there's certainly no loss in performance but any gain was so small that it all might be in my head. otherwise it drives like stock but with a nice deep tone at low revs but so quiet from in the cabin.
this the catback installed, just wondering if the metal plate circled in red was there from factory
cheers
Hi there is a corolla owner that has the same kit, http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...mp;#entry334629 I've never used them but make sure the projectors have a cutoff for RHD ( ---\___ ). No drilling or cutting is pretty unbelievable though... its advertised as bi-xenon so there is a solenoid in the projector that moves the cutoff shield for high beam and lowbeam.
try to move the leds back abit by pushing them in so that the base dislodges from the white plastic holes. put some clear sticky tape over the leds to hold them back.
alternatively, you can buy these 3 smd leds i got from the US but they're a bit pricey:
they are really bright and light up the whole dial area evenly just like stock
