  1. I've tracked those pads.... trust me, they will hold Then again, residential roads ain't the place to do it in and glad you din ;)
  2. The price is for 215/60/16s not the 17s. It was from one of the sponsers on Boostcrusing - Option1 Garage - which are a drift workshop so get cheap as prices on Kumhos. I couldnt fault their service or the tyres. That shop works on volume mostly. Federals from them are also one of the cheapest in the country. Speak to "Storm". Nice bloke.
  3. I paid 300 just for labour. I supplied everything else including all oils, clutch and so on ...
  4. Reminds me of Nicholas Cage's Character in Face Off ....

  6. Pete, you got to specify if its the legs you are referring to or the wheels :P
  7. The link above also shows how bigger wheels might not necessarily be the best for safety wise as the lower profile tires deform around corners.
  8. I had someone tell me recently that even at 17.5KG per wheel (Rims + Tyre + Air) that it is still too "heavy". So the question is, when is it ever "light enough" ??? Rims are about 6 - 10KG depending on size so the rest is made up by tyres and air ...... I felt that the weight was ideal as once the car is rolling, it shouldn't matter how much the wheel weighs as we all know, acceleration consumes the most power. Once you are cruising, don't think the weight of the wheel matters. The air in it however, does! B) Your 4 wheels is meant to keep you and the car on the ground anyways. Your not a piloting a space shuttle pulling away from earth's gravity which means you do not need your wheels to be anorexic. But each to their own ;) Which comes to the article below ...... which will upset most but oh well, time to wake up and smell the 5h!ts ... The article is about testing two different set of wheels using same car setup and tires. They were trying to see how lightweight versions of the wheel would compare to a more rigid one. 9. You have one in your car, or you have a spare one you may want to part with? From what I can find out, the ge a r set is the same as in the C160 so I may be able to use it. I have a spare one lying around. Click me! On my plate manufacturer's plates though it says my trans is A860 G770 (perhaps being from South Africa? Not sure). On paper it says its C64 which is similar to C60 used in Celicas and the only difference being the location of the linkages. Sportivo's Gearbox

  17. Last time I hired a car, they gave me a Prius and called it an "upgrade". Like wtf .... I end up averaging 15L/100KM which was way more than my stivo would ever ever do. But then again, I brought it up Nebo twice :P :P :P :P :P :P Danja might want to check with your dad to confirm that so that your dad isn't convinced to press charges against you for removing "Toyota" from the car. -_-
